Founded by Fred Schuster in 1960, S & S CHEESECAKE is still family owned and located in our original location on 238th St. in the Bronx. Fred conducted experiments until he perfected the cheesecake recipe. The same recipe is in use today. All cakes are baked with the craftsmanship of an artisan, using only the finest ingredients. S&S Cheesecake's founder is an innovative, culinary expert whose work ethic and dedication to his customers remains his life's mission. "He ain't lyin," I have been going to this wonderful cheesecake shop since its inception and when I tell you this is the best cream cheese cake I've ever tasted I'm not exaggerating. It used to be a solitary door in a quiet Bronx neighborhood, I would ring the bell and someone would come out and let you into a little vestibule , there he would come out with a warm beautiful cheesecake just out of the oven. Delicious looking abs the flavor to die for. Still going back. Whenever I need to bring something to a party I take an hour long trek to the Bronx where I grew up and get an exquisite bakers delight. Now they have a small cafe where you can sit and enjoy. Ya gotta go at least once. You will go again.

    Small cheesecake $17. ! Must get !

Believe the hype, the cheesecake is perfect. CASH ONLY. Small, traditional cheesecake is about $17. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? 100%. Creamy, not too sweet, silky texture. Not a crack in sight. Crust stays on each piece and bite. During the week they allow people to come and pick up, when i came they were slow so you have to ring the bell or knock hard to be let in. Fruit cheesecakes are $20ish.

Ask the Community - S&S Cheesecake

I want to come on a Saturday for a small chessecake, can you tell me if there are store hours for that day?, thank you. I called and I got answering machine.

In case you haven't discovered already, they are closed on Saturday and Sunday and close at 3 PM daily. But you can always buy the cheesecakes at the market next door.

    Do they make Italian cheesecake?

Surprised no one has answered this yet, but, no. They only make a NY style cream cheese cake but it is one of the best around. We still go down to the Bronx to buy it.

Price for shipping a small and a large plain cheesecake to Ca 94530?

I am not sure if they will be able to ship to CA, but if you reach out to them at (718) 549-3888 between the hours of 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (ET) Mondays - Fridays.…

How much is the small size? & large size

    $70 for a 7' cake $90 for a 11' cake plus $20 for shipping

Can you buy them pre sliced?

Yes, but it costs a bit more. Not sure if all are available pre-sliced but I know the plain always has been.

There's the option of a salad bar, but I opted for the lentil burger with a side of beet ketchup. It was so good! It had this taste to it that reminded me of coconut, a sweetness, yet so hearty. The beet ketchup is also surprisingly delicious and brought a lot of earthiness to it. Would definitely get this again and come back for some warm drinks. 5 stars!!!!

The employee at the register was very friendly and knowledgeable as I was asking multiple questions. The overnight oats were delicious which I had for breakfast with some maple syrup, raisins and other flavors. I also got an iced tea which tasted a bit sour-something was off with it-I told the employee and he immediately asked if he could make me another drink--so he made me a wonderful cappuccino. This was fantastic--rather than just saying oh well sorry-he offered me an alternative which not all places would do. This was so appreciated! So I am only giving 4 starts because of the cost of the food (but all the food looks fresh and tasty) I had an overnight oats and it was $15-but I do also understand they are using fresh ingredients so cost is higher. I will absolutely be back because of the wonderful service and a perfect place to sit and do some work. I want to come back during lunch time to get some of their lunch options--salad bar, grain bowls etc.

I got the mushroom pita and the whole roasted baby cauliflower, and both were insane. Mushroom Pita: Fresh, fluffy pita bread, with roasted mushrooms in an umami-rich tahini sauce. This was mouthwateringly good, and the mushrooms also had a great, fresh texture. Baby Cauliflower: It sounds so simple but the magic is in the execution. The cauliflower is both soft and firm at the same time; it almost melts in your mouth. There's a reason that two times we went to Miznon, they had already run out. Friendly service, and a chill ambiance. They have fresh tomatoes and long green peppers as a living decor, and they will give you a cooked pepper if you like. Take them up on their offer - the pepper is delicious (and spicy if you eat the seeds).
