Super disappointed by this salon. I came home to visit my family for Thanksgiving and wanted to treat my mom to some pampering. I saw that this location had great reviews so I decided to schedule an appointment. I called yesterday to set up an appointment for my mom and I and specifically let them know that the services were for 2 people; gel manicure and a regular pedicure. So we arrived today and sure enough, they had only scheduled for one person. They took my mom back first and started on her pedicure about 5-10 minutes later. The man at the front seated me but I was not helped until about 30 minutes later. When I asked how long the wait would be, the man at the front (who I believe is the owner) apologized and admitted that it was their mistake for only scheduling 1 time slot. I was pretty peeved already but he was nice and I figured, as long as they do a good job on our nails, I can get over the scheduling mishap. Unfortunately this was not the case. The lady who helped my mom with her pedicure cut her toe nails so short it made her bleed. And the man that helped me cut multiple of my fingers when doing my cuticles during my gel manicure. Not only that, my pinky and index finger were left uneven and my pinky nail was even chipped. When I went to pay, the owner apologized again and explained that he usually takes the calls for appointments, but sometimes the technicians will answer when he is on lunch and/or not around. I really wanted to give this salon another chance despite the scheduling issue because he was so nice, but in the end, the entire experience was just a let down overall. read more

Just horrible, their so called "organic" dipping powder is a big NO NO! There is nothing organic about it, the worst is the removing part. It took them 3x of soaking because the guy who did my nails made it so thick! And for $30 it doesn't include an actual manicure! I came in as a walk-in with my sister. The place is neat and friendly. Unfortunately I came in on a Friday and they were pretty busy. I was surprised we waited about 15-20 minutes before we were seated. I wasn't satisfied with the gel manicure I got. The cuticle on the nails were not neatly done. I found areas in the nail where the color was faded. I am not one to complain so I will not be returning. Really wanted to enjoy this place but something was just off. The technicians didn't really talk to me or ask me if I wanted designs or really anything. I've only been to a few nail places but this still struck me as odd. I spent $44 dollars on a mani pedi and I wasn't entirely satisfied with either. I will say the services (Callous removal, hot stones, etc) were really nice and everyone was very friendly. I really hate leaving this review..why you ask? Because I absolutely loved Phong who did my acrylics and pedi. What I didn't love is my acrylics. I went in to get white tip acrylics and a pedi done in March. I noticed two days later, there were air bubbles all under my nail. I don't like confrontation of any kind so I chose to just deal with it till my hair kept getting stuck underneath my nails. At this point it was a little over a week since I had them done. Phong said just come in and let me see them but I didn't live close to this salon and he wasn't going to be in when I could come in..we finally met 2wks after my original appointment. He said he would just fill them. I literally had pieces of my hair he had to take out from underneath the nail. Another thing was ...my nails turned very yellow oddly..one of the other girls tried to insinuate I did something to make them this way. Ok, I understand if it were a few weeks later..but I have pics just two days after they were done. Honestly, I wasn't happy with the "fat" nail job. It literally made my fingers look wider. I told him I would like smaller tips put on but he said he would file it down. That didn't turn out well. Phongs mom did my pedi and couldn't do it right so phong took over and did a great job on my French toes. So, phong filled my air bubbled yellow nails and it looked better than it was of course but you could see where it was filled..I have to say it's my own fault for not wanting to be a pest and say I'm not happy with the second job when he asked me so I take responsibility for that, however, I do feel you should take pride in your work and not allow a customer to walk out of your salon if the nails don't seem right to you.. I will say the lighting they put on your nails in the salon masked how much of the fill you could see. I had to go in the backyard to really see just how bad it really was...once again, two days later some air bubbles and a week later..yellow again..and this week I haven't been in the sun at all. I took my fat yellow nails to another salon and they told me, he put the acrylic on my skin which is why it didn't seal! I won't be going back unfortunately as much as I just really loved phong who was such a gentle soul:/ Pros: super inexpensive, phong was very gentle, and very nice. He would even explain what him and his mom would say when she spoke in Vietnamese so I wouldn't think they are talking about me.. lol Cons: bad nail job, he never pushed back my cuticle or cleaned it up, didn't file down the acrylics around my cuticle and same with the re-do until I told him, it was just sloppy (should have taken the whole tip off and re-did it) read more

I have been going to this place for over a year. Sang their praises, sent everyone I knew here and when asked about my nails, I bragged about how wonderful this salon WAS! Now, I am telling everyone to find a new salon and NEVER go here again! If I wanted to sit and stare at the wall for an hour while 5 women talked about me in THEIR language and the tech was the most disinterested in doing my nails, I don't know why they "didn't refuse to serve me" after all they have paper signs up all around the salon saying they do this. I guess they have sooo much clientele now, they don't need my steady monthly business with what I believe to be more than generous tips anymore!! Even though my last visit was so very horrible and I was treated so very poorly, I still tipped, because that was how I was raised, but my momma didn't raise a fool, you will never see me or anyone I know, especially my family again! I will never return, I looked up the new craze of dipping and was surprised to know the nail techs are not supposed to dip your nail in the powder(for sanitary reasons)but they are supposed to pour it over your nail or place the powder in a disposable container to only use on your set at the time, when I mentioned that information to the tech she became rude stating oh you don't need this service, I do this all the time and I am trained at the corporate office, so I advised just give me a regular manicure I know what I read and it came from her company's website, she then proceeds to keep explaining herself trying to convince me. First time visiting this salon and will definitely be my last. My usual nail salon is always super busy around the holidays and unfortunately I wasn't able to get an appt and my nail tech was out on leave so I figured I would try out a new place. I went with this place out of the two others I was considering since the reviews were pretty good. First issue was that I was there way too long for a simple fill and 1 nail replacement. Other issues, my nails were nowhere close to being the shape I wanted, I asked for coffin and left with a reg square shape. The nail that I had replaced, was shaped round while the rest were filed squared, I had to point it out and was even asked how I wanted it shaped. Also my pinky nail was literally shaped crooked to the point it looked as if was pointing to the left, the nail tech noticed it himself and attempted to fix it but on my drive home I looked at it and it was still pretty bad. And now to top it all off, two days later the gel, which I paid extra for, began to lift and has now peeled off like a sticker. I have never had this happen before with gel. This is usually my regular go-to nail salon. When they first re-opened under new management, I thought they were great. Always courteous, and they did an excellent job on my nails. Tonight I went to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. My regular nail tech wasn't available so someone else did my gel. She was very nice, but extremely sloppy. She rushed through my manicure, and wasn't even looking while she was applying the polish at times. The result is crooked lines, the polish doesn't cover my full nail bed, and she cut some of my skin while cleaning my cuticles. There are also bumps and I know the gel will chip soon. I asked her to fix a bump and she filed it down which left scratch marks. What really ticked me off was how the manager handled it. When I told him and showed him my nails, he pretty much told me that I have to make sure Vicki (my regular tech) is available. He did not own up to the fact that my manicure was terrible. He offered to fix my nails but I was short on time so instead he gave me $5.00 off and I still ended up paying over $50 for everything. I'm extremely disappointed. The prices for services have gone up and the quality of the work has gone down. I feel like their business is booming now so they are rushing to finish and get to the next person. I will not be going back there and I recommend that unless your appointment is with Vicki, don't go either. read more

We came in for a spa experience since we were in the area and were delighted! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and pampered! We each had 2 people helping us at a time, Tina doing my pedi and Duong doing my gel mani while I was in my spa chair chilling with the back massage. We felt like queens! I was also chatting it up with John, the store manager. We received excellent service from everyone! They were really nice and not pushy like most nail salons. Duong did an awesome job on my french gel mani. It is really thin and shiny. She was really detailed and it shows because nothing has lifted. I've had some gel manis done before and if it's not done right, it lifts soon after. I even got a lil 3D bow. Since it was our first time there, they always offered the price so that we wouldn't be surprised by the total at the end. It is conveniently located on Mountain Avenue just south of the 60 in the plaza behind Carrows. Lots of parking is a big plus! It was a great visit and I'll be back! read more

I don't normally pay to get one done since my mom used to be a manicurist, I can get it done for free at home anytime, and I'm super picky about the way the nail polish is applied. I don't like paying for a manicure if you're going to miss a spot. The place was fairly new so I was seated right away. My manicurist was nice but she kept trying to push opi gel on me. I was hesitant at first because $25 is pretty expensive for a manicure but I gave in anyway. She didn't miss a spot applying the nail polish which made me happy. Its now been almost 3 weeks and I feel the opi gel was definitely worth my money. My nails haven't chipped at all which is a miracle considering I usually chip them the same day. I'll definitely come get a manicure if I'm ever in Chino again. My manicurist did such a good job. No manicurist aside from my mom has ever done such a job. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend you stop by. The store is still fairly new so there aren't many customers. That means little to no waiting! I frequent this spot for Empanadas To Go and was surprised to find a nail salon at the other end of the plaza. The place itself is very clean and inviting. The decorations are island-inspired, a little change from most nail salons. I know a handful of places that can deliver great manis and pedis but to me, it's the people that often bring me back.
