While the truck was apart, Alex performed a thorough inspection and pointed out a few other items that were worth addressing. We ended up installing new lower control arms, upgrading to a GX460 steering rack, Marlin Crawler cam tab subframe reinforcements and spindle gussets, and having him install suspension as well. As someone who's new to the 4x4 world, I really appreciated how communicative Alex was throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything, answered all of my questions, and gave honest recommendations based on how I actually plan to use the vehicle rather than trying to upsell unnecessary parts. Didn't want dark and was mainly looking for heat rejection. Saw the actual shades and didn't realize that what I was picturing in my head was not what I had asked about. The first time I brought my car in to fix an engine light issue with my oxygen sensor on my Honda accord, he helped recommend a better brand and was honest and helpful. I now have brought my CX5 to him multiple times already for his expert opinion on different issues and for regular maintenance. He's always very responsive, easy to get a hold of, and willing to share his knowledge and expertise. Recently, I brought in a long list of items to be fixed from the dealership, and he was honest in what he thought needed to be done more urgently vs not, and his prices were also much more reasonable. He was kind enough to help me as well with replacing my car battery and windshield wipers.
