My sister decided to order Mediterranean for dinner and I had never tried this place. There were things I loved and disliked about it. First off, the rice has so much flavor and it's moist. It's the perfect balance of spice. I loved that it wasn't just plain basmati rice. I really enjoyed the lamb. You could tell it was shaved off the trompo and had a nice balance of spice and season. The meat was thinly sliced and had crispy pieces but still tender. The chicken has a very heavy citrus flavor and a little spicy. It was grilled to perfect but my preference was it was a little too citrusy. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean salad but they need to do a better job draining the water. The dressing is a lemony vinaigrette. I don't like that hummus isn't included but my sister did get tzatziki because of the lamb. Overall it's a great spot to try. I was staying at sun outdoor and I was looking for something healthy and I found this place nearby. It's a cozy place. When I walked to him, there's a machine where you can order yourself or there's also somebody who can take your order. I love how they have the sauces out for you to grab of your choice. I've never really had sauces but seeing them out made me try the tzatziki. I got the California wrap, but without the fries, it includes guac in it. I really use to love this place but the service and the quality of food has gone downhill. Beef kabobs plate had a dead fly in it when we got home and opened it. The shah fries use to have the meat diced with tomatoes and other stuff in it and is now very plain with big strips of meat just slopped on top. I hadn't been inside this building since it was a Mexican Restaurant. I stopped in because I was wanting something near me . I checked the Yelp reviews and saw this . I tried the Value meal which comes with a gyro sandwich, fries and a drink I added a couple of roasted peppers and tomatoes which with Tax brought my total to just over 20 a Jackson, making it double what I'm comfortable paying for dinner . It's in a strip and there's a decent amount of parking, but there is limited seating inside! I ordered the chicken kabob plate and it had huge chunks of chicken that are well seasoned, without sauces, it's already delicious. I asked to replace the rice with salad and got a salad side, making it double salad. It also comes with four pieces of pita which I don't have pictured. Nothing better than finding a locally owned hole in the wall serving up super flavorful delicious Afghan cuisine. There are so few of them in the San Diego area! Business model is fast, casual in design which is kind of nice because it's shocking to be honest how much food you get for the price you pay. The decor is sparse, but the restaurant is incredibly clean. When the girl working the counter wasn't taking orders, she was sweeping and wiping down tables. My only gripe with the interior of the restaurant is that it was a chilly day and the door was propped wide open. I absolutely loved the famous chicken skewer plate. It was a nice touch to serve that amazing Saffron rice with a couple grilled vegetables. They also had a sauce bar with really tasty sauces for dipping. I went for hummus on the side of my plate and the hummus was satisfactory but nothing to rave about. My fiancé got the gyro plate and I didn't think he was that hungry when we got there, but he ate every single bite. This restaurant is a little out-of-the-way for me, but if I'm in the area, it's certainly a place I would return to. read more

The young guy at the counter was so kind and patient with my elderly compadres and was knowledgeable about what was gluten free, etc. he was a shining star and i didnt get his name but we were there 4/8/26 early afternoon. He offered my mom sooo many substitutions for pita bread. He also turned down the music for us. The food was great, home made sauces were great. My uncle is very vanilla so i was stunned he loved it. First off - these sandwiches were portioned so well; tons of meat in each one. They don't skimp here! The bread was so soft - it was like eating pillows or clouds. It was the perfect vessel to get that salty/herby meat into my mouth. The gyro meat was thickly cut, so it was still juicy and flavorful on the inside - when places cut it too thin, it cooks too long and becomes a little crispy and dry. No. Thank. You! There were several sauces you can take home. The classic tzatziki, a tangy and spicy chipotle, and a green herby one that was a version of chutney. They were all good in their own way, but my favorite was to mix the green and tzatziki together to get a creamy yet flavorful sauce to smother on that sando. This is a little shop in a corner of a strip mall with no ambiance to speak of, but the food is the point and everything here is amazing! I order from here on DoorDash all the time and the prices are really good too. My favorite thing to order is the Gyro Shah Fries. It's crispy fries topped with Gyro meat, house sauce, feta cheese, and guacamole. I usually get it without the guac because I feel like it throws the flavor a little bit. I order their orange sumac chipotle sauce for dipping, and I actually always order a bunch extra because it's so good. It's tangy with an awesome kick. Another thing I really love here is their giant fresh Greek salads. My wife and I order the gyro salad and grilled chicken salad all the time. They have lettuce, tomatoes, pepperoncini, olives, cucumbers, a Greek vinaigrette, and tons of delicious seasoned meat of your choice. Again, I never order without ordering a bunch of the orange sumac chipotle sauce! This place has become a total staple in our household, even though it's all the way across town. My wife & I were looking for some Mediterranean food in the area during our vacation road trip from Orange County and were pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor from this place in an unassuming strip mall area. I ordered the Moussa's Famous Chicken Kabob rice plate while my wife went w/the Gyro Pita which were both juicy, but what really hit a home run was the Chicken Korma (Curry)! That one reminded me of a better and more re-fined version of Yang's Braised Chicken Rice, full of deep, rich flavors -- works w/either rice or pita! We definitely hope they expand into Orange County, but even if they don't, if we ever go to San Diego again, this place will definitely be one of our regular spots to go to! read more

Our family has been coming here a lot of times in the past few months and we never had a problem with employees. Today we ordered at 7:15 and employee didn't let us dine in because he said they already cleaned the tables and mopped. So we had to take the food to go. Restaurant says it closes at 8. And the last time my wife came at 7:40, and the same guy didn't let her order because he said they already cleaned everything.
