Nothing much has changed since, except they now have boba style drinks. The furniture is also the same. There are plenty of open seats during lunch. Since they are a Chiu Chow (潮州) style restaurant, I ordered my combo wonton thick egg noodles dry, with the soup on the side $15.50. The egg rolls, $8.50 and beef stew noodles $13.50 were OK. This year was actually my first time going and I always compared it to TK noodles in SJ from how it looked. I'd recommend adding a heaping of chili oil they have on the side and just a dash of soy sauce to give it some salt. The thing I highly recommend getting here are the fried chicken wings!! Maybe it's just me, but when I was growing up, it felt like my family would somehow manage to come across a TK Noodle wherever we went in the Bay Area. Daly City, Cupertino, San Jose, Hayward, Sacramento...there was a TK Noodle. Which, in hindsight, makes perfect sense; at their peak, they had locations sprinkled all over NorCal. So how does all of that relate to Red Bowl Noodles, you ask? Well, despite how the former has shrunken their footprint over the years (including shuttering this particular location), their fingerprints can be found all over their successors, like the latter...for better or worse.
