Best meal I had on my vacation to Salt Lake City. I was reading the reviews and got drawn in for the homemade Emanadas and Pasteles. THEY WERE SO GOOD! We ordered: - ham and cheese empanadas - beef empanadas - chicken empanadas - beef burrito - cheese and guava pasteles - steak burrito - chicken quesadilla

Dont let the location scare you off from trying this hidden gem. The staff was very nice and was able to walk us through the menu. Honestly I just wanted a guava and cheese filled pastry that I had seen in Brazillian bakeries which was wonderful. I think that the empanadas were my favorite with the avacado sauce.

For some reason I think I have been to this place before but the inside interior looks totally different. This might have been the first Guatemalan restaurant in Salt Lake City. Now it is a mixture of Venezuelan, Colombian, Mexican, and Guatemalan. My mom and older brother didn't like their Mexican dishes, the rest of us all seemed to have enjoyed ours. The drinks, the tamales, the 2 soups (beef & chicken), the papusas, and combo plates. They didn't have any desserts but the drinks that were like a caramel flavor hops types made up for it. Great service, the seating area is a bit small but was cozy. For sure will come back but bring my little brother so he can translate the menu for us.

The food was amazing. I got there and was taken care of in under 5 mins. My food came out in under 15 mins and the service was great. 10/10 recommend! Will come again!

The food was amazing and the customer service was top notch. We drove from Grand Junction Colorado to Salt Lake for a weekend of eating food. I haven't had Colombian food in a few years so this was a must.

We stopped in to help my out of state sister-in-law with wedding planning as her fiancé is Guatemalan and they were looking for a catering option. Daniela was our server and answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations. We ordered a basket of mixed empanadas (the shredded beef with their green salsa was a favorite,) chicharron pupusas, chicken tamales, sweet corn tamales, and platanos con frijoles, crema y queso. Everything was to die for--came out hot and fresh. We also tried a variety of their drinks. My favorite was the guanabana with milk and the pineapple with milk. This place was super good, our food came out quick even though there were six of us and the place was busy. Staff was helpful and friendly and we will definitely be having them cater the wedding! Thanks for a great visit!

This place is always a MUST if and when I am in Utah. The food is amazing, it's a homemade meal forsure and the portions are great. Last time I was here was 5 years ago and this place is AMAZING! The prices have gone up a bit since then but none the less. 100 WORTH IT!

Fairly basic on the inside with dark wooden tables and not much light. That said it was cozy and we were very comfortable. The meals are very large. My wife ordered Picada Reina Lucero, which had several varieties of meat, white cheese, tartar sauce on top and two sides of other sauces, one a chunky green sauce and a smooth white sauce that mostly tasted like salty butter. The meat was piled on top of fried arepas. My BIL ordered a half chicken and an empanada with pork. The empanada was large and the pork filling was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I ordered the De La Casa Arepones with shredded beef. Ham, cheese and sauce were served along with the delicious shredded beef. This is the only item we ordered that could be considered as a single serving, but even at that it was a lot of food. If I'm in the area I will not hesitate to stop in again and explore more of their menu.

They are huge, one could feed 3 people. I had the chriozo, but it was like hillshire smoked sausage. I would say get the chicken with smoked meats and fried pork. Pass on the Tostones, they were not fried, they were baked and very dry so pass on those. Place has a cool vibe, and decor. You can bring a marker and write on the wall.

Only open for a short while this new food hall is like a cultural explosion with foods from around the world. This place has traditional Venezuelan food and the menu has such a large variety it's hard to decide what to have. Everything is made fresh and the owner Chris gave us some great recommendations on the menu. We ordered Carne Asada Patacones and a side of Yuca Fries. The patacones are sandwiches that are served on fried plantains and filled with meat, cheese, lettuce and sauce. The variety of flavor just explodes in your mouth. So fresh and tasty. Also the yuca fries are freshly made and served with cheese. There's a variety of beverages available that are traditional Venezuelan and Columbian like papelon con limon or simply choose from Coca-Cola products too. We dined inside and there are several tables available with the inside decor giving a fun Latin flare. Food was served promptly and they even checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything else. I'm looking forward to another visit soon so I can explore some other fun menu options from La Casa. Thank you Chris and team and I wish you a successful journey on this new adventure inside Granatos Itery.
