Came back again for Easter Lunch. Quality was on par and service was great. Food took a bit to come out but was quite busy. Always enjoy coming here!

My friends and I had no idea they were in the neighborhood! What a find. Food was delicious and fresh. Osmond was attentive and friendly. Definitely will put this on our repeat places for dinner. Beautiful atmosphere. There was plenty of food that I will enjoy a second day. The Tahdig was marvelous and the baklava enough to share with four people with their fabulous brewed hot tea. Can't wait for my next visit.

Sabou is such a nice addition to the area in Alpharetta. It's located in a shopping where we get our poodles groomed off Highway 9 so very convenient for us. The owner has been so nice when we have eaten there and makes us feel welcome. He owns the store next to it with fresh bread, meat and other things they serve at the restaurant. The decor inside is so pretty and really makes you forget you're in a shopping center. The Persian rugs on the wall, beautiful lighting and design are very nicely done. The food has been delicious from the baba ganoush, hummus, starter plate with delicious cheese, walnuts, olives and herbs to the amazing rice and chicken barg. Their presentation of the food is stunning and the crispy edges of the birds nest rice is delicious. The chicken is seasoned perfectly and so juicy it's delicious. I love the grilled vegetables and radish that come with the meal as well. The homemade bread is so good and they're always generous with bringing more with your meal if you want it. I definitely recommend this for a date night.

This is coconut roulette. So light and fluffy. Great ending .

Food was fresh and so flavorful! Service was top notch. This was our first time but definitely not our last! We had Hummus, with Chicken Shawarma,, Chicken Barg kabob and Beef Barg kabob both with Saffron rice. Coconut Roulette for dessert. Sabou is truly a hidden gem. So thankful Yelp led us here.

Delicious. Glad I found this awesome Persian restaurant. Their Kubideh Kabob is on point. Their rice is uniquely cooked so the steam stays inside and puffs out. Their mint, basil, and cheese appetizer is delicious, and the servings are so large I got another two meals out of it. Wonderful restaurant!

Sabou is, without a doubt, the most authentic Persian restaurant I've ever experienced. The flavors immediately tell you this place is run by people who truly know Persian cuisine. The kebabs are cooked over real charcoal, giving them that unmistakable traditional aroma and tenderness. Their individual rice portions come with an incredible tadig--perfectly crisp, golden, and absolutely addictive. I always appreciate and support businesses that stay sincere to their culinary roots, and Sabou is exactly that. I had the chance to meet the owner, and he is one of the most humble and motivated people you'll encounter. What makes the experience even more special is that right next door, he also runs a bakery, an ethnic grocery store, and a butchery, so you can actually buy the same high-quality ingredients he uses in his dishes. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated--warm, inviting, and thoughtfully put together. You can tell a lot of care goes into every detail, from the décor to the food. Highly recommended. Sabou is truly a place for people who appreciate authenticity and heart in the kitchen.

The food and the interior are absolutely amazing. My husband has food allergy so the chef came out personally to make sure he can accommodate our needs. We are definitely coming back here!

This was our 1st visit to Sabou. It had a warm inviting atmosphere with dimmed lights and textiles on walls. They seem to be new and do not yet have their liquor license. Server was Reza and was very friendly. He offered us still or sparking water and brought out a welcome plate with fresh basil, feta cheese, olives, and bread wedges We like to share so we ordered Mirza Ghasemi as our appetizer, the Fattoush Salad, and Ghormeh Sabzi Stew that came with Saffron Rice. They even brought us more bread to have with our meal. We were too full for desert but will save room next time! All of our food was outstanding with good portions. This is now our favorite Persian/Mediterranean restaurant in the north suburbs of Atlanta! We have 2 other "unnamed" favorites up here but were excited to find one that has raised the bar! Would highly recommend!!!

***Hard to locate because there is no sign yet since they recently opened, but it is right next to Hut bakery.*** Interior: The decorations and even the bathroom was well designed. I loved that they had two private bathrooms but also an open sink area for those who just want to wash their hands. Also loved that there was great ventilation so I left without smelling like food. Service: Our server was attentive and patient while we looked over the menu. She didn't hover and was quick to pick up our empty dishes and refill our waters. The chef/owner(?) also came out to check on us and welcome us to his restaurant after our meal. He was so pleasant to talk to, very cheerful and friendly! Food: We were a table of two and started with their complimentary starter kit of bread, cheese, olives, and herbs. Then the TABBOULEH SALAD which was fresh and lemony, exactly how it should be! We both shared their CHICKEN SOLTANI which is a combo of their Chicken Barg and Beef Koobideh combo. The dish was beautifully presented and each item and meats were delicious! The chicken was so juicy and tender which is hard to do with white meat and the koobideh had a beautiful soft texture to it without feeling mushy or grainy at all. The veggies were charred perfectly and well curated. The rice was perfectly cooked, had a nice bounce and aroma to it. I was also blown away by their sumac (spice they give you on the side to sprinkle onto the food), it was very finely milled and had such a light flavor to it. Best sumac I've ever had. We got tea to accompany our meal and it was good and I liked that they kept it warm at the table with a candle. All in all it was such a great experience!

Let's start of with how beautifully embellished the restaurant is. It's a refined fusion of modern elegance & old-world Persian heritage, that celebrates Persian hospitality & culture. You're greeted by the hostess that radiates warmth and geniality. Once seated you're gifted a complimentary starter Sabzi Plate that includes fresh herbs, feta cheese, walnuts, Castelvetrano olives, crunchy radish, and premium walnuts. It also comes with side of freshly baked Persian flatbread. We ordered a plethora of dishes. Our favorite plates were the hummus [we paired with the mushroom add on], lamb chops, and the Adas Polo rice. Trust me get the Adas Polo rice, it absolutely mouthwatering. As for beverages there is a variety of curated cocktails that we tasted but my top pick had to be the Tehran Mule! As for desserts our favorite was the Persian ice cream sandwich, it has unique flavors with rose being one of them. So good! For parking they offer a combination of valet services and validated garage parking depending on which location you go. The dress code is business casual. It's a perfect place for any accession, I definitely am planning on coming back to try more dishes. Take my word and come check it out! Your taste buds will thank you!

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

The restaurant was promptly seated, and we started with a Mazza. Our fantastic waitress, Alisa, recommended the Duck confit, which was exceptionally fresh that day. We couldn't resist and ordered it. We initially wanted to try the Lamb Shank, but Alisa's suggestion of the roasted eggplant and lamb stew was equally enticing. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The lamb was incredibly tender and succulent, while the eggplant was cooked to perfection. The stew was rich and flavorful, making it a satisfying meal.
