This is a good spot for affordable Mediterranean food in the Johns Creek area. We got the gyro with hummus and the buffalo shawarma wrap with Greek salad and enjoyed both of our meals. It is a large portion of food for a reasonable price and a good selection of sides like grape leaves, baba ganoush, fries and Greek salad. The hummus was really good and we would definitely get it again. I would like to try the chicken kabob and baba ganoush on another visit. It is definitely more of a takeout spot, but don't let that deter you from going. It is all made fresh to order so that is a plus. read more

I don't normally go for Mediterranean food, but I'll easily go here again. Keep in mind Abby's is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, so don't expect the interior to be boujie and designer. It's the food you're coming here for. And they won't disappoint. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a free private parking lot out front of the plaza. Plenty of available spaces. Easy. II. I got food delivered from here a while back... It was good but maybe, due to delivery, it wasn't great. You know how it is... sometimes just due to packaging or time in between here or there the food flavors can die in the way. Some food is just not made for delivery. Tried their beef Schwarma and chicken kabobs with 2 sides. Both came with hummus which was creamy and delicious. We tried their soup and fries for the side. Overall, we felt the food was on the milder side in terms of flavor. The flavors are there but not as strong as I am used to for these dishes. The beef was soft and paired well with the rice. The schwarma oil helped flavor the rice but for the chicken kabobs, they were a little on the dry side. The rice didn't taste seasoned to us but it was light well cooked. I could see myself trying this place again but I do think the flavor profiles lack a little umph. What a great addition to Johns Creek. We always come to Bubba's Pet Emporium next door and checked out Abby's Mediterranean Grill for dinner since their now open. This husband and wife team are awesome. They are super friendly and hospitable. Really felt welcomed. We ordered a lamb gyro and chicken shawarma. Everything is well priced. Really enjoyed both the gyro and shawarma. Good flavor and generous portions. Appreciated that the gyro came with a good amount of tzatziki in it. Both came with a side. Liked how they had a pretty decent list of sides option. We ordered the beets and potato. I love beets. Also got the hummus and pita. The hummus was tasty. Get the pomegranate juice. It was refreshing and not overly sweet which I appreciated. We also tried their baklava and enjoyed it a lot. It was light and airy and just a right amount of sweetness. Definitely check them out. You can tell a lot of love goes in their food. Great value, made to order food, and friendly owners. What more can you ask for, right? I'm already thinking of my next visit back. We were excited to try this place because of all the 5-star reviews. Sadly, the food quality wasn't nearly what we expected; the hummus was the star of our meal. The gyro was dry, along with the shawarma. The Greek salad left a lot to be desired and the falafel tasted bland. The whole experience was difficult, including the call to clarify what the white paste all over our food was. Garlic sauce (supposedly not mayo-based) is the answer, but it's the worst pre-made mayo I've ever had. And I don't like mayo. Great freshly cooked food. The falafels are on point, they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not like the regular falafels you get at the fast food places. I went here after another Yelper said the chicken in the kebab platter was tender and juicy. I liked that they gave you 2 sides where I could choose baba and hummus to dredge the chicken in. I even asked the host if the chicken kebabs were tender and he replied yes. What I was served was tough, dried out, stringy chicken that I struggled to cut with the flimsy, bendy plastic silverware I was given. The hummus and baba were good but you can get that anywhere. Hubby's chicken wrap had dry chicken in it as well with not much fixings inside. We won't return. read more

This was a nice change for us. We had some gyros at an outdoor festival during the summer and got an itch for more. We both got gyro wraps and I got a beef shawarma wrap as well. Both were good. My gyro wrap could have used a couple more strips of meat, but it was a nice size and tasty - and fresh. My shawarma wrap had plenty of beef on it but the meat wasn't as tender as I would have liked. It tasted like sirloin or maybe flank steak - ribeye is always more tender (IMO). But I enjoyed it nonetheless and would select it again. Service was friendly and welcoming and we plan on returning. Finally a good place to get a gyro in town!! The restaurant only has about 4 tables, but they are a great new place for takeaway. Their food is very reasonably priced for what you get and the staff are very friendly. We got gyros to go with greek salads as the side. The gyros were so large and they didn't skimp on the filling. The lamb was delicious. My only complaint was that the dressing on the salad was already mixed in, so the lettuce was soggy when we got home. I think I would have preferred the tzatziki sauce on the side as well because the pita was a little soggy. This is fine when eating at the restaurant, but a to-go order should have dressings and sauces on the side in order to keep the food from getting soggy. We will be back!! read more

It is very small (probably more takeout business than sit down) but my family sat down for a eat-in meal. They didn't have any fountain drink options available-only bottled or canned drinks. The food was very good. Not huge portions of fried like we are used to but the main sandwiches (gyros) they we ordered were sizable and tasty. Came here a few days ago to order some food and take it to go. The owners of the place are really friendly and always greet you when you first walk in. I noticed that there is a dining area with some tables so you can eat there if you'd like and also some seating outside as well which is a nice option due to covid. The menu had a good variety of different types of Mediterranean food, but I was just craving a shawarma sandwich so I got the beef shawarma with hummus as a side. Man it was amaaaaazing! Seriously, I couldn't put my finger on it, but there was something about the shawarma sandwich that gave it a very distinct taste, and by distinct taste I mean extremely delicious. I was studying this sandwich to see what it was that made it so good lol. I noticed the tahini sauce was what gave it such a flavorful taste and beef itself was cut into perfect pieces and tasted really fresh! The hummus was really good too and it came with some small pieces of pita bread which went along great with my meal! I wish I had ordered two of these because after having just one I wanted another! Always fresh and always fast. My wife and I get takeout from here at least once a week. I highly recommend the chicken shawarma wrap or platter. You get a lot of good for your money. They use to have crinkle-cut fries that were amazing but they've switched to standard fries. Hopefully they go back to the crinkle-cut. You can't go wrong with Abbys.
