We got a sandwich, mozzarella sticks and a pizza. The sticks were room temp and the pizza was hardly cooked. I put it all in the oven to try to heat/ re-cook my freshly gotten pizza but it only made it worse. Maybe they have decent meals, but what we got was not one of them. Best chicken parm I've had in a long time. Was coming back from Hartford hospital, was very hungry, stopped here and wasn't disappointed. We ended up here by chance. Drove from Hartford to get food at LaSalle in Collinsville but they're closed for the holiday weekend. So glad we found this place!!!!!! Our waitress was wonderful, and they have a nice little patio and were having live music. I had the calamari posillipo and I think it may have been the best sauce I've ever had!!!!!! We've eaten at Sabrina's twice now in the past month. First time, we ordered the #23 pizza, the Sorrentino (Eggplant, Ham, Chicken). Thought it was decent, good enough to come back again and try other items on the menu. So we did a takeout order from them this week. My wife had the Eggplant parmigiana, I went with a meatball grinder. My wife felt the eggplant was mushy, she only finished half of it (I brought it for lunch the next day, was underwhelmed). Meatballs in my grinder were OK, but I felt the marinara had too many onions in it. Couldn't detect the flavor of the sauce, just crunchy onions. My opinion is that Sabrina's Restaurant is a weak 3 Star rating. Don't see a reason to return for mediocre food. read more

We stopped in today for lunch during a long drive home. What an absolute delight the restaurant is! The owner and staff are fantastic and the perfectly attentive! We got a pizza and the baked ravioli. Both were fantastic!! From the bread and sauce to start with to the salads to the meals, it was a 10/10 meal. Even the music was wonderful. Sabrina's was a delicious treat in the middle of central Connecticut. All the food is homemade, and the value is amazing. (See my photos!) For $15, Lori N. got delicious eggplant parm *and* homemade pesto on penne. We could have seriously split that alone and invited more people to share. I loved my cavatelli with sausage and broccoli, which was also scrumptious and huge. Both mains also came with a house salad. The bread basket comes with a special garlic sauce, which was addictive. Big shout out to Wendi, who was entertaining and just the right amount of attentive throughout our meal. I only wish Sabrina's was closer to me! We tried Sabrina's recently because we were in Burlington and it was nearby. They have a lot of outdoor seating which is great when weather permits. Seating inside is very limited. The wait staff was very kind and cordial. We were greeted with warm bread rolls and a tomato based pesto which was delicious. We were a party of 3 and 2 of the 3 meals were great. The soup of the day was a Hungarian soup that was amazing. The salads were fresh. The chicken cacciatore was great, the pasta with vodka sauce was good, but the veal Marsala was disappointing (very light on sauce and mushrooms, and too heavy on onions). We will try again, simply because it was so quaint and the server was exceptional. read more

They do serve wine and beer but it's a limited selection because it's a small restaurant. Desserts are also limited. But after her dinners you might not be hungry for a dessert unless you are a huge eater. lol. She has a great secret dipping sauce that we go crazy for served with the tablet rolls. I can never finish my meal and have leftovers for the next day. I love their rustic calzones, the cheese ravioli, and my husband's fav is Veal Sabrina. They do serve wine and beer but it's a limited selection because it's a small restaurant. Maybe 6-7 booths, but she has outside seating in summer on a quiet small patio set back from the main road. Even though we've been living in this lovely town for a few months already, we went to Sabrina's only a couple of weeks ago for the first time: this little hidden jewel is fantastic!!! The food is delicious, the service is incredibly friendly, and the portions are huge! Mary, the owner, is a very sweet lady...one can't help but be fond of her immediately, it's like you've known her forever; and she goes above and beyond to make sure that everything is perfect! For those saying the "pizza is amazing" I'm just curious if you know good pizza? Sadly, this wasn't it. We stopped in after heading back from Litchfield only to find that this place was take out only. The woman behind the counter was rude to the point where it appeared she was annoyed to be there. The pizza was mediocre at best, with the sauce being bland. There are plenty of other pizza restaurants to go to, including Domnos. I can't recommend. read more

Great local place. Had only been here once before and the server and owner remembered us. The special sauce that comes with the bread is absolutely to die for. I would come here for that alone. We had mozzarella sticks as an app and those were perfectly made. After the bread, salad and app I was full, we definitely over did it on ordering but everything was so good. My son had a bowl of the Italian wedding soup, he ate the entire bowl which is a rarity. We live close so this place will be a regular dinner place for me. read more

Wife and I had dinner there and it was fantastic. I had Chicken Francese and wife had Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp. We would recommend either meal. The service was perfect and it wasn't too busy so we were able to have a nice conversation without it being drowned out by music or other noise. This is a great little restaurant. It IS a full blown restaurant. Wait staff and the whole bit. We've been gauging our pizza by the buff chicken lately, this one is excellent. If you prefer grilled chicken to breaded, like we do, you can request it. Here's the best part, I mentioned full blown restaurant, right? So, I've had their risotto, never been disappointed. I've had their surf and turf special, which changes from time to time, never been disappointed. This may be a bit hard to find, but it's worth it. Just been back to sabrina's again it was amazing and plan to come back as soon as I can. We have lived in Burlington for 3 years and never tried Sabrina's. It wasn't until a hunger for Fettuccine Alfredo and other restaurants closed due to Coronavirus that led us to Sabrina's. Very disappointed - this is the second time I ordered delivery and the second time the order arrived totally incorrect! Mind you I waited over an hour to get this incorrect delivery and I live 8 mins away. The owner was very accommodating and redid the order and sent back out both times, and correct orders tasted good both times - for these reasons I gave them a 2 instead of a 1. This place BLEW ME AWAY tonight for take-out dinner. I'm normally hesitant to order Italian food from anywhere that's not the North End in Boston or Wooster St. in New Haven. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the Manicotti and it was excellent. The pasta was home-made and the sauce was outstanding, I could eat it by the spoon full. The portion was enough for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. They served it complementary with house made warm rolls and a crisp fresh salad. The rolls were soft and served with a garlic parmesan dipping sauce which was delicious and addicting. The fried mozzarella sticks were perfectly crisp and the batter was full of flavor. I never write Yelp reviews but this one was warranted. Please try their take-out if you want to feel like you are eating true authentic Italian food and if you are a marinara snob. read more

We went to Sabrina's on July 27, 2014 to check it out, and what a great surprise. Nice restaurant with a very pleasant staff. We were fortunate to meet the Chef/owner, who was gracious and most friendly. We looked at the menus, which I might add is impressive! We said that we would call later to to order meals to be picked up. Both my husband and I ordered the Italian Combo, which is stuffed shells, lasagna, & manicotti, and comes with homemade rolls, and salad. Our meals were absolutely delicious. The salads were made with all fresh ingredients, and the Balsamic dressing, which is house made, is the best that we have ever had. All 3 of our stuffed pasta's on the combo were cooked to perfection the sauce is house made, and just delicious. The meat sauce in the Lasagna delicious, and not heavy. What was amazing to us is the freshness of the food, as well as it is not heavy, and cooked so well that you are able to taste this wonderful tomato sauce, and the fillings in the stuffed shells, manicotti & lasagna were delicious as well. The rolls that we had were baked to perfection.. The serving size is so generous, that we had leftovers the following night, and they were just as good as the first night. We have gone to many local Italian Restaurants , and Sabrina's is the best, and I would recommend it to our family and friends. We are looking forward to trying all the items on the menu. I may be biased because I'm a regular since I moved to this bucolic New England village, but...I'm a regular. I'm also a classically-trained chef in my own right. I know food: I wouldn't eat here or recommend it if it were not one of the hidden jewels of NW CT. The waitstaff is perky and friendly; the kitchen staff is friendlier, always willing to take special requests or answer questions at table-side about their offerings. What the decor lacks in sophistication is made up for the homeliness of the dining area--it has the cozy feel of being in someone's dining room. What really matters is the food. The bread is baked fresh daily and the bread dip, a tomato-and-oil-based tapenade with fresh spices, is exceptional. Really, it may be the best thing they serve. The dinner side-salad is fairly standard: lettuce, tomatoes, carrot, onions, green pepper and kalamata olives. The dressings are from a jar. The entree selections on the menu are standard-fare for mid-market Italian-cuisine from a pizza place but the quality is well above standard. I am a particular fan of the cheese ravioli. The pizza is markedly better than the standard pizza joint, even here in CT, itself home to some of America's best pizza. The variety and quality of toppings is great. Both whole-grain and white crusts are available. This is truly an unexpected gem. read more
