Small woman owned business that makes food as you order it. I don't know Spanish but I was able to order by pointing at the menu and practicing my Spanish food language skills. I usually don't see gorditas and I noticed that's what other people ordered. I'm a bit disappointed though- it was grilled rather than deep fried- better for my heart I know but it just isn't as tasty. The fillings were generous but needed more onion for balance and sauce as it was a bit dry. Passion fruit drink was delicious but on sweet side but I added ice and it was better. For both items it cost 8 bucks. Next time I would prob try something else and skip the Gordita. But the ladies in there were so sweet so I'm willing to try out the rest of the menu to see if I can satisfy my taste buds.

Amazing. I had the bistec a la mexicana and it was so perfect. The rice was fluffy, the beans perfect. It was delicious and gave me such a comforting feeling. My husband had the pozole and he told me he would be happy to have food from here everyday if anything. My picture doesn't do the chef justice. I'm horrible at finishing food. But I am so glad I have lunch for tomorrow. I get to savor it again.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Sabrosura Mexicana! This restaurant was formerly a halal fast-food style Mexican restaurant, but closed some time in 2022. Sabrosura Mexicana replaced this location afterwards (different owners). This is a family-run establishment serving authentic Mexican food. Restaurant is festive and has beautiful Mexican decor! Loved the inviting ambience and Spanish music playing in the background. The servers were very friendly as well. For lunch, my mom and I ordered 4 regular tacos, which came out to only $10! I'd say this was an amazing deal. We were able to choose a variety of meats, including chicken, al pastor, bistec, and birria. The tacos also come with some spicy sauces on the side. All of the meats were so flavorful and seasoned perfectly! Everything was cooked to perfection. We also ordered chips and guacamole. The guacamole tasted fresh and was quite a huge portion! They give way more guacamole than the other typical Mexican restaurants out there. Chips were nice and crispy. Overall the food was fairly priced and I'm already looking forward to my next meal here. I hope this business will last! Highly recommend :)

    Real, fresh, delicious food

Fantastic, authentic and fresh Mexican food from a family-operated team. Excellent service and fair prices make it a local staple. Menu has some recent updates. You'll be able to order a great range of things.

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

The floral displays are fun and are probably the highlight of the visit. The space is clearly designed for photos, and I can see why it would be popular for birthdays, showers, or other special occasions. They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

When I walked in there were a lot of people waiting but I overheard the wait was 5 minutes for a party of 2 so it sounds like the table turnover is fast. The bacon was well done, not just crispy and not raw, either lol I had my favorite, western omelet with american cheese, home fries and a side of bacon. My friend had a grilled cheese and I compared my toast to his grill Cheese bread and his bread was bigger. So i'm wondering, do they use a different bread for the grilled cheeses, perhaps the french toast too? nonetheless the meal was delicious. When we got here, it was barely empty and now it's packed yet cozy.

I know I just reviewed them recently, but I had to come back and give more love because when the…read moredecision was made for my friends and I to attend a Game 4 Knicks watch party at Cobblestones, I was excited to make a trip back here. I got there early to snag a table, and the team was already hard at work with nearly the entire beergarden packed with fans. The hostess Jenna was an absolute rockstar all night - I don't think she stopped moving or smiling! Not only was she seating guests with poise and insane amounts of charm, but she was also running food and drinks to make sure guests weren't waiting for their orders - in fact, despite there being more than 250 people in the beergarden, we never waited more than 4 minutes for drinks and 12 minutes for food which is pretty impressive given how busy they were inside and outside. We were served by Lana, who legit might have been the nicest, friendliest, most engaging server I have ever met in New York City, and I am not being overly dramatic here. She handled her insanely large section with aplomb, took the time to actually learn our names and address us by names when asking if we wanted to order anything, checked in on us every few minutes even if we did not need anything, and despite likely being tired from all of the guests, the running of food and drinks, and the hustling, she was cracking jokes all night through her radiant and starry smile, and making our group feel like the most important people there despite the fact that we were just three regular dudes enjoying a basketball game. Her attentiveness and personality alone are worth requesting to sit in her section at all times. Food was solid on this trip - our table ordered a half-pound burger which was cooked and seasoned perfectly (came with fries and toppings), mozzarella sticks which were piping hot with a nice crunch on the exterior, waffle fries (had to get them again they were too good last trip), and honey BBQ wings, which although they weren't very meaty (not their fault since I am assuming they didn't butcher the wings in-house - could have just been a lean batch from the supplier), the sauce was addictive and delicious and I found myself dipping everything we ordered into it so it wouldn't go to waste - order the Honey BBQ! All beers came out cold and rapidly (Cobblestones uses plastic for half liter beers when the beergarden is saturated with guests, just be prepared for that - makes sense because of the volume). The rest of the staff was incredible given the chaos. Beergarden manager Pete made it a point to check in on us a couple of times and was very appreciative of all of the guests coming for the game, and you can tell he steers the ship effectively because everyone in the beergarden was focused, attentive, and in the zone during what many bars would be challenged to handle. One final thought - my two friends who came with me (who are NOT "let's go out drinking at night" type of guys) asked me when we are coming back for a Friday or Saturday night - they loved the atmosphere, loved the friendly service from Lana, and loved the food and drinks. The answer? very soon! Thank you Cobblestones!

There's usually a line of some length during peak hours and especially around the holidays. You can tell by the sheer volume of baked goods and cakes available in their window displays that they sell a lot daily. This location is on the main drag of the little downtown section of Forest Hills, the baked goods in the front window display connect to a tall and long glass counter along the left side of the store that extends almost to the back. At the back middle and along the right side of the wall there's seating for about two dozen people at small cafe tables. They carry an assortment of traditional cakes (full and sliced), pies, cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cupcakes, ice cream and coffee/tea drinks. A wide variety of flavors in each, so you're bound to find something sweet to satisfy most here. They are a classic bakery so from what I can tell, they don't carry items that are gluten, dairy or nut free. I've purchased their apple pie, fruit tart, berry napoleon, red velvet and chocolate fudge cakes from this or other locations in the past and they're all solid choices for desserts to share with a larger group, though I find a lot of their cake options to be on the richer side. My most recent encounter with their cakes came in the form of a slice of their seven layer cake $9.95 which is thin layers of yellow cake alternating with chocolate cream mmm pretty tasty, and their caramel cake $9.95 which had a layer of chocolate cake in the middle, sandwiched by caramel cream and white cake on either side. The latter had a pronounced caramel flavor that was enjoyable though a bit too much cream for me. My preference would be for their chocolate cakes over other cake flavors here. Their apple pie is one of my favorite apple pies anywhere tho!
