Despite the backlash Sack O' Subs may get it's still on of my favorite restaurants when I visit Ocean City every year. Subs are appetizing and the fries are great. The shop itself is a little sloppy but it's nothing that would detract from the experience. Definitely one of Ocean City's better eateries in the downtown. read more

Did not like in the least bit. I wanted something light for lunch so I decided on this place for an antipasto salad, yuck... first sign that it would be bad was that 90% was iceberg lettuce, second sign was that the cole cuts used not only were scare but of bad quality. The icing on the cake was that the dressing was terrible, not for nothing but any Italian style sub place uses oil and red wine vinegar from r their house dressing, for instead what I got was an overly sweet balsamic dressing. I am not a big fan of some of the well know sub places in South Jersey but Sack O' Subs is always a winner! Ham, Salami, Provolone, LT, OV, SPO is my go to sub! Ordered a large sandwich tray for my husband's birthday celebration. Had lots of food but the sandwich's were the hit of the food. Everyone commented of the rolls, the most flavorful meats and the presentation were perfect. Freshness counts and this was a grand slam. Special delivery by Frank was appreciated. read more

Honestly one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had. Tender meat and delicious rolls. We eat here on nearly every trip to the Shore.

We had cheesesteaks here tonight. They were ready on time and nice and hot when we arrived home. However, don't get a cheesesteak here unless you love tons and tons of onions. Also, the meat was probably NOT ribeye and was certainly not cut thinly like a cheesesteak is supposed to be cut. In addition, the meat was overlooked on all of our sandwiches. Lastly, the roll was their regular sub roll, not an Amorosa roll. We will not be back for cheesesteaks. Their other sandwiches may be better. We only had the cheesteaks. read more

My dining partner had been bugging me to try Sack O'Subs, so one evening while at the beach we ordered a pizza steak, a cheese steak, and an order of fries. Delivery was very fast, but I wasn't impress with the food. I've had much better steak sandwiches elsewhere. The meat in my roll looked like Steak-Ums, and there was barely any sauce. The roll wasn't very good either, it was very pale and chewy. The whole thing just looked carelessly slapped together. I wouldn't order from Sack O again. read more

I ordered take out. One plain pizza, one side of mozzarella sticks, and french fries. The pizza wasn't anything special, couldn't care for it again. The mozzarella sticks tasted and looked exactly like the ones from Wawa. French fries were good but it's got to be hard to mess those up. I suppose I should have sticked to subs since it's in their company name but even when I order those they have minimum amount of meat. So I spent $90 there last week to get sandwiches that were mediocre, at best. First of all, know what you are ordering. A "whole" sub, which is $14, is the size of a regular hoagie in Philadelphia. Okay, I would have been fine with it, except we ordered 2 chicken parm subs that had a VERY small amount of chicken in it, and NO sauce. it was nothing more than a soggy piece of bread. Our cheese steaks had raw onions and peppers on them (supposed to be fried). The other sandwiches also lacked meat, and our salads did not have any dressing with them. When I called and asked them if they could send over some dressing, they said it would be an hour. My turkey club was delicious, but the rest of the sandwiches were lousy. We go here a lot when we don't feel like cooking, leaving the island, or dealing with crowds. I should take that back, we have them deliver to us! It's a little bit of a wait, but the subs are yummy, the fries are good, and even the cheesesteaks hit the spot even with a 20-30 minute delivery time! I try to go to Sack O' Subs at least once every time I'm at the shore. My favorite? A grilled chicken caesar salad with raw, red onions. It's always perfect! It's big, if not HUGE, and they include half of a sub roll along with it. I frequently have to put leftovers in the fridge and eat it the next day... and I'm not complaining about that! My family tends to get subs and remarks that they are a bit dry, but I always get the salads so I haven't had a sub in a while. read more

Wonderful tuna wrap! I love how the tuna is whipped and they are very generous with the amount of tuna they put in the wrap. Couldn't finish it because it was so stuffed with tuna, but it made another great meal! read more

The chicken here is gross. Don't even want to know where they get it from. Took a couple bites of the chicken on my salad and and had to throw it out. Chewy. My daughter got chicken tenders and she said they were gross. When a kid doesn't like chicken tenders you know somethings up. read more

This place was very good. The subs, both hot and cold, werr made to order. We ordered a large french fries which was sufficient for the four people at oir table. I had a cup of new england clam chowder and found it to be very good. Our sandwiches were hot, fresh, and delicious. The place looked clean and the service was pretty good. I like the location on 55th street better. Anyway, this is a great place to call ahead and pick up some sandwiches for your day on the water. We were taking an all-day boat trip and wanted to pick up lunch so we wouldn't have to leave our favorite spot. They got our order exactly right, labeled the sandwiches (which were neatly and tightly wrapped - important when they're going in a cooler full of ice and beer), and they were neatly made (no falling apart). I got the regular (italian) which was delicious. They put just enough oil/vinegar on it so that the roll wasn't soggy but it still had enough flavor. The people I was with ordered turkey with honey mustard and one of them got spicy mustard, then the other one got honey mustard on the side. That was a little strange, but no big deal. Anyway, when we took the bag of sandwiches out of our cooler we were worried because the paper wrapping on the outside of the sandwiches was wet - but they were wrapped well enough so that the sandwiches didn't get wet. They were delicious and fresh. FYI - we've ordered from Sack 'o Pizza next door too and they're also great. Anyway, next time you're on the hunt for a good sandwich, come here. DO NOT waste your time with Wawa. read more

Got the Turkey sub with Provolone. This is the first place where I had a sub that didn't wind up a big hot mess. Very tasty, I was only able to eat half at a time. Can't wait to go back next year. We usually eat breakfast and dinner while on vacation. I just happened to be hungry one day. Got very lucky as they were right across the street from where I happened to be. This is a great sub restaurant and an amazing place to get huge slices of Pizza for an amazing deal! It wasn't that busy but for a turkey sub and pizza, it took longer than most would expect it to take. It is so worth the wait to get their food though! Takeout sub (55th st OC) was fine but I'll never go back because you cant trust them to get your order right. What's so hard about "extra vinegar" on an Italian combo? Came with ZERO vinegar OR oil. And if you order it with hot peppers they wont put them on but rather make you do it (hopefully you brought a knife or fork to the beach with you)by giving you a little thimble sized container of peppers. read more
