My friends and I were trying to find a taco place that either wouldn't be too crowded, far, and/or had good parking for a late-ish dinner. We found this spot via Yelp, and thought to check it out! It's located in a small plaza next to Shawarma Shack on Garnet Ave outside of Pacific Beach. There's a parking lot which could get packed during lunch or dinner rush hours. There was a deal for 3 street tacos (mini tacos) for $6.49. What a steal! It was mix and match as well. My boyfriend got their Cabeza, Al Pastor, and Carne Asade. I got an extra taco of their Surf and Saco. The tacos were loaded! This was honestly a steal with the amount of fillings the street tacos had. They were all soooo good. I did wish the carne asada had a little smokiness but not necessarily a negative. I couldn't really tell the difference of the tacos except for the cabeza without the plentiful guac, haha! The Surf and Saco was a bigger taco and drenched in a delicious spicy-ish aioli. It was full of shrimp and carne asada. No skimping at all. Soooo good! My brother also order some chips and salsa (pico de gallo) to share. The chips were hot! That was a huge plus to start off our meal. They had a salsa stand with a variety of toppings and sauces. I really liked their pickled onions, chipotle sauce, and avocado sauce. Their pickled onions were a huge plus in my taco experience. Definitely a hidden gem! Super happy to have found this spot. I definitely will be back for more of this Dela and their other tacos such as their fish taco combo.

Street tacos? In PB? Yes. It's so hard to find affordable tacos anymore since a lot of tacos now cost upwards of $7 per taco! My wife found this place and told me about their street tacos deal where if you buy 3, it's less than $7. The restaurant is in small shopping lot about a mile from the beach in Pacific Beach. There is limited parking so you may have to park on the street. This is counter service restaurant where you order, sit down, and then they bring the tacos to your table. We ordered 3 carne asade and 3 adobada street tacos as well as a California burrito. They also gave use some complimentary chips as well. The meat was seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and had plenty of flavor. We loved the tacos. The California burrito was good too but the fries inside were super greasy. Chips were nice and crispy with a bit of salt. The salsa bar is basic but gets the job done. I definitely recommend coming here for their street tacos deal.

This was my second time getting a CA Burrito here. It is not just delicious but it's big enough for two meals. The girl behind the counter is super sweet and friendly. There is a good amount if seating but I took my food to go. It's very clean. The salsa bar was neat and fully stocked. I also got quesabirria tacos. They came with a dipping broth that was good (not super salty like other places). I couldn't taste the cheese so I'd probably order without the cheese next time. They were good but I loved the burrito a lot more. Prices seemed reasonable compared to other taco places in pb. Good takes a little bit of a wait but it is all cooked fresh to order. I will be back. Parking is also pretty easy as they have a parking lot and it had plenty of spaces.

The staff were nice and on a Saturday at 6pm there was not many people inside. I mean, I am tutoring between a 3.5 and a three but I would have to say when we got the corn it was not as seasoned as other Elote that I've tried before. I saw them use just the prepped beans from a bag and rice from bag and then microwave the corn which I guess that makes sense for what they're trying to do. The fish was pretty fresh and the sense of them cooking on a grill plate so everything did seem like they make it to order. But the flavors just did not seem to be there maybe for their other tacos. It was much more flavorful, but with what we had, it was ok. The place is pretty well decorated and it seems like they have a lot of options. And the price was OK.

Checked out Saco's Tacos in Pacific Beach--it's a newer spot, and you can tell the owners (same folks who run the smoke shop next door) really care about bringing something good to the neighborhood. Super friendly people who are clearly trying to support the needs of PB with some solid, quick eats. The food came out fast and hit the spot. The tacos were tasty, the salsa was fresh, and they've got a fun, unique spin on street corn that I wasn't expecting but really enjoyed. They're in a bit of a tucked-away location, but it's worth finding. Hopefully they stick around--PB could always use more spots like this.

This nice new taco shop in Pacific beach. They offer a three street taco special for $6.49 plus tax. It's a good deal but the tacos are a lot smaller than what the picture depicts on the window. On a good note, they put a good amount of protein and guacamole on the tacos. I had two pollo asada, which were tasty and the meat was tender, and I had one beef birria taco, which the meat was flavorful and juicy. The corn tortillas were very good. The service was good, but I do recommend that they open at the time they advertise, which is 10 am. They didn't open till 10:30 am, so O had to wait. They offer inside seating only.

Saco's Tacos has opened in an internal corner suite of a PB strip mall that has seen many businesses pass through after a longtime Thai eatery closed several years ago. Besides other taquerias, the latest venture was a hot chicken joint that lasted less than three years. The parking lot situation was not optimal if you visited when the neighboring restaurants have their peak customer traffic. The inside of the suite was reconfigured to allow for more on-site seating which was very beneficial. I came during the early days of the soft opening period. A menu sheet was available at the service counter as there were no boards or screens that displayed the offerings. Tacos, tortas, quesadillas, and burritos were the main categories. What struck me was how affordable the burritos were at a price range between $6.69 (bean & cheese) and $10.89 (surf & turf). I didn't try one, but that will happen at a return visit. A special that was not listed on the menu was three street sized tacos for $6.49! You have to go back to the last decade to get tacos at that low of a price. A grilled fish variety was included in the deal so that was one of my three choices. The other two were al pastor and carne asada for the proteins. A self-service salsa bar was available across from the counter. The tacos had sufficient flavor and toppings that I didn't need any salsas. The fish was the best of the trio with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, and crema doused on top. Cilantro, onions, and guacamole came with the two meat tacos. The pork was a bit dry while the beef was tender and juicy. The service from the lady staffing the register was kind and helpful. Note that a credit card transaction did result in a $0.59 surcharge. My overall experience at Saco's Tacos was at a level between four and five stars.

Good service, very polite! The salsas were great and tasted like fresh homemade. I tried the Surf & Saco Taco, an Al Pastor Taco, and a plain quesadilla. All were delicious. I'll be back to try more. The restaurant is also clean and well kept.

Good tacos at an unbeatable price. Love supporting a small local business and the owner is really nice! Great location, easy stop for lunch. Will be back!

SO GOOD! We just discovered this place and it will be my our new go-to for Mexican food! We got the shrimp taco, quesabirria, and adobada tacos. They were all very flavorful! I recommend all of them. We also got the surf n' turf burrito, it was delicious! Everything tastes so fresh, AND they have a salsa bar, the icing on the cake. Both workers were very friendly! Thank you Sacos Tacos! We will be back! (:

The quesadilla is a highlight - super gooey, melty cheese and juicy chicken. Their kluckin sauce is a game-changer, and the fries are a must-try. The staff is friendly and prompt, making the experience even better.

There were a couple of groups dining in and someone picking up a to-go order, but there was still plenty of seating available. The employee working the counter was friendly. They also serve alcohol, and during my visit drinks were 20% off. Options included Pacifico, Modelo, Blue Moon, hard seltzers, and a selection of canned craft beers. I ordered: * Mahi Mahi Taco: the fish tasted fresh, and I liked the crispy onions on top. There was quite a bit of sauce, which made it pretty messy to eat. While the fish was good, it felt like a very heavy taco overall. * Surf & Turf Taco: this was loaded with steak and topped with two flavorful shrimp. The shrimp had an amazing flavor, and this taco was much more enjoyable and balanced. Overall, the service was great, the prices were very reasonable, and the protein quality was excellent. My only critique is that the tacos felt a little overdone with toppings and sauces when the quality of the protein could easily stand on its own. Still, it's a solid spot for an affordable late-night bite. One thing to note: there are no restrooms available inside the restaurant.
