I cannot express enough how happy we were with the food and service provided by Chris and his staff. Chris catered our 200 employee xmas lunch and no one left hungry or dissatisfied. Besides the delicious food and on point service, Chris is very easy to deal with and detail oriented. I honestly didn't have to worry as he took care of everything. The weather was crazy but they were still on time with our fresh BBQ. They have a great system and I couldn't be more grateful . Thank you for making our event a success.

Literally just burning gas looking for a place to eat, before I noticed this East Bay eats sign. I go in and sift through the menus of DIFFERENT kitchens. Yes different kitchens. I come upon Sacred Pig, a BBQ spot. Low and behold the food was good. I ordered a 3 meat combo, chicken, ribs, and pork belly. Sides were mac&cheese, and potatoe salad. The ribs were in my opinion cooked perfectly. The pork belly delicious. The potato salad was a hit. An what can I say about that yard bird, off the grill so yum yum. Definitely made it into my top 5 BBQ spots. Now I have to buy an energy drink because I'm losing this 1v2 against Itis, and Sandman.

The St. Louis ribs are incredibly moist and tender with a nice bark, plenty of dry rub, not drowning in barbecue sauce. Just how I like it. The most difficult thing to find are ribs that are that moist with good bark, even some of the best barbecue joints in SF have a tough time finding that balance. That's the beauty of Sacred Pig. The menu also includes habanero chicken, salt pepper garlic drumsticks, pulled pork, hot links, mom's potato salad, slaw, and beans. My favorite are the ribs and potato salad (mom sure knows how to make potato salad). Get there on time or the food will sell out!

We ordered a mix of meats including the tri-tip, brisket, and ribs, along with several sides. Everything came out fresh and the meats were tender with a nice smoky flavor. The mac and cheese, potato salad, and coleslaw were all solid choices, and the garlic bread was a nice addition. Service was friendly and the staff were helpful when explaining the menu. Prices felt reasonable for the amount of food we received. Overall, a very good local BBQ spot that we'd be happy to come back to. When I asked him where he got the ribs, he said Famous Dave's. I knew that I had to try them out for myself. It was always one thing after another, but finally, I had time on a Wednesday afternoon. I didnt want to deal with a crowd and when I went, it was perfect. We were seated right away. Our service was Yanira and she was awesome. So friendly, answering all of our questions. I got the ribs and meat meal since I also wanted to try their chopped pork. My sides were Mac and Cheese and Tater Tots. When my order came, I got their special fries and before I could even say anything, another server came with a bowl of my tater tots apologizing for the mistake. No complaints here since I got another side. Everything was delicious. The ribs were tender. I also loved their BBQ sauce. I was going to order water, but since it was a special occassion, i ordered a Dr. Pepper and I was surprised that it came in a large mason glass jar. The Dr. Pepper wasn't peppering.....if you know you know, it just didnt taste strong, but I did enjoy that the drink was ice cold. They dont have coke, but serve pepsi products. The cornbread was perfection, warm and buttery. Disclaimer, the Mac and Cheese had corn in it, just stating if you care about that sort of thing. It was more on the saucy cheesy side. I never had Mac and Cheese like that, but since I love Mac and Cheese and I love corn so it was hit in my world. Portions are huge and I had to take some food home. Prices seem comparable to other places that serve BBQ. Lots of seating areas and I can see on special occasions or on the weekends, this place could get packed. Plenty of parking. This restaurant is off Winton, in the area where Panera is at. If you go all the way to the mall you have gone too far. I know that I will be coming back, I am curious to try their burnt tips. I'm gonna check with my NorCal moots about this but sucks if that's true. I was going to comment on how this is one of few bastions of affordable, slightly more unique food in the bay area, but I guess that's not the case. I'm spoiled by having a Dollar Hits in SoCal literally down the street from me so I can't say this place compares, but it's at least an option for NorCal, you know? This definitely used to be another restaurant, but then retrofitted to be a grill. Super large grill in the middle for everyone to communally cook at indoors. This is a good combination between the outdoors grill it yourself and the indoors seating of both the SoCal Dollar Hits, so I thought that was nice. They have all the classics here, isaw (sometimes Dollar Hits doesn't have this unless you request -it's chicken intestines), large intestines, chicken skin, kwek kwek (battered quail eggs), and Tender Juicy bright red filipino hot dogs (a must). You can also order a side of rice and the sauces were self serve (made it a bit sticky). It gets a bit smoky in there even with the fans, but overall had an enjoyable time the time when I did visit.

The food on the sticks does not compare at all to other places I've had it especially the Philippines. The fish ball and lobster balls were dry and needing the fish ball sauce which they didn't have. Only sauce I did find that they say was an all around sauce was pretty much a watered down mang Tomas sauce. The bbq stick was rubber and way too sweet. The chicharon bulaklak was also rubber and not crunchy at all. The kikiam was okay. The isaw was not good at all, it lack seasoning. The shumai was dry. Service was you pretty much get what you want and heat it up yourself. Place was empty as there wasn't much people. Definitely first and last time coming here.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

We had a group of friends meeting there at 1 PM to celebrate my husbands birthday. This was everyone's first time trying Fikscue While in line we grabbed some beers and Micheladas at Alameda Brewing. Around this time, a very sweet kind lady (maybe the owner?) came out and thanked the crowd for patiently waiting. I took the opportunity to ask her how long the wait from where we were would be. She estimated around 45 minutes. It turned out to be more around 1.5 hours. But we knew her answer was just an estimate. We ordered everything except drinks on the menu. And a lot of it. The meat was premium, juicy and tender. The smoky flavor really penetrated to the bone. We really enjoy the banana pudding dessert (not pictured). This location is cleverly located in between two breweries which is great because you can grab your food and a beer at either breweries. This bussiness seemed to cultivate community and an overall great spot to gather. The only negative experience our group had was with a couple in line in front of us. We were large group (8 people and 3 kids) and a friend accidently bumped into the couple in front of us twice. We were trying to take a group picture and bumped into the man. This grown man cursed us out calling us "effing idiots" and many other ridiculous names. Look we are all here trying to enjoy a delicious neighborhood mom and pop. Things happen, if you cannot be kind to your neighbor in line, stay home and order delivery. Accidents happen! No one got hurt. Besides that unsavory interaction, this turned out to be a great afternoon for all. We will definitely come back to try the desserts and beef cheeks.
