This studio is spacious and specializes in traditional Polynesian tattoos for both males and females. I have been here twice and both times I've been greeted with professionalism and raw talent. My chest and upper portion of my left arm were both done by Dennis Mata'afa. Dennis is very friendly and talks you through his creative process before deciding on a design and price. The work Dennis produces is clean and very efficiently done. He works quickly yet thoroughly, and never goes over the same area twice in order to keep his clients as comfortable as possible. He constantly checks to make sure you aren't in excessive pain and answers any questions you might have very thoughtfully. He even bought me lunch! Sacred Tatau is the place to go in Las Vegas for high quality Polynesian art work. Book now as time slots fill up very quickly!

Shoutout to Wayne Austin fata killer artist Been coming here for awhile and had him do majority of the work on my arms, my leg, and my hands. Went in recently to get work done on my chest (adding ink around the words on my chest) and my neck. Uce absolutely killed it Highly recommend this shop, all the artists are very professional, easy to work with, and continuously kill every piece they do. If you're in vegas or traveling to vegas this is a must visit. The best tatau shop in the country. Mahalo nui bradda boy Austin, I'll def be back to get this body suit done

I seriously could not have found a better place to get my first tattoo. I spent years searching for a place where I could get something done that was not only beautiful, but also significant to me and my cultural identity. I found this shop on Instagram searching for modern Filipino tribal tattoo styles and after weeks of deliberating, I booked with Wayne Austin. Austin was incredibly welcoming and personable, and in terms of his skill, I don't think you'll find many more artists who are as talented. I could keep writing more, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Can't wait to get the final section of this sleeve finished!

Finished my second sitting with Austin today and can't feel more blessed. He has absolutely gone beyond my expectations with the piece. Super awesome company, makes the hours fly by. He is extremely accommodating with booking as well. , just don't screw the artists over and cancel last second. Anyone looking for traditional poly work should look no further. Ive never gotten work by mo or Dennis but have met both and are awesome. Can't wait to be back.

I couldnt have chosen a more perfect place to get my first tattoo. Signifying my life and adding yet another year (it was a birthday gift from my husband) I chose to reflect all that is important to me in a piece that would stay with me forever. The people at Sacred Center Tattoo were all very hospitable and professional. I felt at ease and comfortable knowing that I was in the hands of talented artists--particulary Dee Mata'afa (my tatau artist). Even Samoan Mike's dad greeted me and my husband and made a little small talk to shoot the breeze during my session. I discussed EVERYTHING I wanted symbolized onto my tattoo with Dee and he kept it all under serious intent to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. From symbolism of strength, family, growth, life, protection, to even putting my iconic Filipino sun, he made sure this tattoo had meaning and was NOT just a pretty picture (although, I proudly like to consider it to be the most beautiful tattoo I could ever imagine for me...). Also, in knowing that this was going to be my FIRST tat, I was explained everything prior to the session so I was properly informed. All the precautions and after care...the responsibility of having and caring for my tattoo. Dee made sure I was going to walk away knowing how to make sure I keep my tat looking its best so I can enjoy it and be proud for many many years. I will definitely return for more. If not for myself, then surely for my husband. And when people ask me for testimonials of Sacred Center Tattoo, I am behind this place 100%! Hands down, an establishment based on tradition, talent, and respect. There are no egos...You are treated with as much respect as they are given in return. Thanks, Dee and everyone at Sacred Center Tattoo for making my first tatau experience a memorable one!

Best and most talented tattoo professional ever. Samoan Mike is an icon in his profession. If you want this style of tattoo, you will be hard pressed to find a better artist in the entire world. I have chest, shoulder, back and half sleeve, done in 3 sessions over 6 days. The results were far beyond my greatest expectations. Rarely EVER do I go out in a tank top or short sleeved shirt without someone - total strangers - commenting and complimenting my beautiful work. He is the artist, given only a few personal preferences, he sees layout, design, placement, etc. that will best fit and enhance your body. You will wait for an appointment... for months.. but it's worth it. His technique and skill not only deliver an amazingly detailed and structured work of beautifully flowing free hand art but his many years of experience allow him to minimize the pain during the process. He is attentive to your comfort, he works quickly in sections and in waves across the design - rarely ever going back to recently tattooed areas. His pressure and depth are appropriately determined to deliver a minimum of pain. Samoan Mike is well versed and immensely knowledgeable in his native Samoan heritage and tradition so his every work and design carry the added value of symbolism, meaning, and cultural authenticity as well as unsurpassed intricate detail and beauty. All of these factors make this process richly rewarding, providing a lifetime of pride that you are wearing the work of a master artis

I wanted to get a an authentic Samoan Tatau without having to go back to the mother island to do so. Did some research online and found several shops and a lady named Tricia Allen who did Samoan Tatau. I visited a the shops in San Diego and didn't like what I saw. Artwork was superimposed and didn't look authentic at all. Had the right designs but the artist only did large designs. And he couldn't tell me the meanings of the symbols. I contacted Tricia Allen and she is an polynesian anthropologist who does tattoos. She told me that if I lifted weights, she wouldn't tattoo me!? Which turned out to be ok because several months later I ran into a guy at the motu hawaii store who had a Trish Allen tattoo that he regrets. The lines were crooked nuff said. Went to Vegas with my family and decided to stop through my final shop I was investigating. I went in Sacred Center and the shop had a very good vibe. I went in and tried to get a sitting but was told that they were booked and it was "by appointment" only. So I just stuck around and looked at tat portfolios in awe, while my girlfriend was finding a restaurant. Just my luck, a cancellation fell on my lap. They offered it to me and I took it. My session was with Samoan Menace (Dennis). He asked me what I wanted and I told him family, money, luck strength health and for him to fill in the rest. It was an 8 hour session with one piss break. Every new segment he inked on me he took the time to explain the symbol and the meaning to make sure I was in the know. My investigation process was a hassle. But you have to do what you gotta do. But the end result was a detailed Samoan Tatau. The shop is friendly and comfortable. This is not your dime a dozen tattoo shop. This shop will cost you more than other shops, but when it comes to tattoo...you get what you pay for. I will pay extra for a flawless tattoo. I will be back there again. Fa'afetai lava Uso

We met with him for a long period, as we were very specific about what we wanted, which was actually a very simple design, but didn't want the clock itself altered and for it to be operable. He told me they'd need 6 weeks for the job, and that he'd be out of town, but his daughter would handle it. We left a substantial deposit for half the cost. Cut to about 6 weeks later and my wife goes to the shop when we're told it's ready. Her dealings were with the daughter, whom we hadn't met before. The frame and matting itself are very nice. However, the clock within is, first, not centered. The daughter denies this, insisting it's centered, until my wife insists she check using a tape measure, and it's off center by nearly two inches (the clock is only 13" diameter). Whoops. Second, the clock, which is circular/sundial shaped, does not have numerals, but markers. It is not lined up with the 12 o'clock position at the top. The daughter argues that it can't be hung with the 12 o'clock position straight up, because it is off-center of the hanging hole on the back of the clock. Now understand, these are things we discussed with her father, extensively. It's an important piece to us, and we told him price was not a problem, we just wanted it done correctly, securely and to look nice. We discussed using clear acrylic braces from behind to support the clock, or something similar, as we understand a circular piece is difficult. We thought he understood. His daughter clearly didn't, and she stated it couldn't be done, and that the hole on the back of the clock intended for hanging was off center for the clock's 12 o'clock position (no, it's not). However, she told my wife she would fix it to our satisfaction. We chose to give her a second chance. A couple weeks pass and we get the call that it's done. My wife returns to the shop to find that all that was done is that it has now been centered, nothing else, which the daughter admits. She states that securing the clock with 12 o'clock in the, well, 12 o'clock position is impossible. My wife asks for the refund of our deposit and the return of the clock. The daughter argues that substantial time and resources were used, to which my wife counters that she did not complete the work we asked for to our satisfaction. Ultimately, the refund is given. The daughter says it will be a week before she can get the clock removed. It didn't take a week, she called the very next day saying it was ready to pick up. When my wife arrived to pick up the clock, the daughter wouldn't even stand up from the desk, pointing to the clock nearby and saying "it's there". For some reason, this lady, the daughter, decided this was personal, and as such, she treated my wife very poorly. Her customer service was horrendous, her attitude was very nasty and she earned every line of this poor review. Our experience with people involved with framing art is that they have some degree of creativity and enjoy the challenge of something they haven't experienced before. That wasn't what we found here. When they told us something couldn't be done, we ourselves came up with several possible solutions, which were acknowledged but never acted upon. So we will look elsewhere, confident in other artistic minds in Las Vegas.

Speak about hidden gems... hung on their back wall is Salvador Dali's "March of Time Committee" - his largest painting and one of the most renowned art pieces in the world. And below that they have prints from his Divine Comedy series. It's quite amazing that just a few yards from the age old (and very cheesy, excuse me) "Atlantis" show in Cesar's Palace, these masterpieces are on display. Other than those, the space is beautiful and elegant. Their Erté collection is amazing - the manager, Nicholas, who was super nice and cordial, told us they manage Erté's estate. You'll also find many big names like Chagall, Picasso, Murakami, and Warhol here. In our visit in March of 2024, we saw an amazing number of works by Takashi Murakami on display and open to public viewing for free! All that said, their prints are privacy - Dali's unsigned prints of the Divine Comedy series would cost around $1200 here while many of pieces are in the public domain (according to Open Culture and a number of university sites). No photography allowed so I don't have too many photos to share. Only a couple that I took before I was stopped.
