    Koobideh Kabob

Great experience here. Servers were quite nice and the koobideh was juicy and boneless chicken had a good char, yet still very tender. Raffi's is the closest comparison I can compare to and it competes very well + no wait when I went!

Enjoyed outstanding Persian cuisine in a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere. We were seated outdoors which felt like a private dining experience. We started with shared appetizers of delicious hummus, eggplant, dolmeh and a yogurt cucumber sauce. For dinner my partner and I shared a scrumptious Sadaf combination #3 which included succulent and uniquely marinated rack of lamb ribs, juicy and flavorful chicken and steak. We highly recommend the Sadaf salad as an upgrade for a small price which includes dates, olives, fresh walnuts and feta. Wine available by the glass and bottle. The Persian ice cream with pistachio and rose water was a divine close to our evening. Some limited street parking available and a lot next to the restaurant.

    Combination of 3 Stews Lunch

Fresh cooked meals, wide menu variety, & a great service. This place is good. Only reason it lost stars is because i've have better Persian food before. But I still really enjoyed my food. I ordered the combination 3 stews which comes with fesenjun, ghormesabzi, & one other bean stew that I forgot the name of. It was pretty good. Fesenjun is my favorite persian food but I've have better ones many times. The meat inside it wasn't very tender.

Went back for the lunch experience. The chicken was not as amazing as the first time. I still like their salad. The chicken lunch special including tip was about $32. It was a large portion. The service was challenging. Our server would forget things and appeared to be distracted. He was on his phone most of the time. It's a charming restaurant but service today was a miss. The food was still pretty good not great.

Combination of 3 Stews, all delicious - 5 stars!

I'm not too familiar with Persian food, but after dining here last weekend I'd definitely like to try more! This restaurant is cozy, chic, and the customer service was excellent!! Below is what we tried: Hummus - 4 1/2 Stars. This tahini hummus was the perfect consistency and rich in flavor. Definitely get this was a side of pita to scoop it up with, though would have been better if the pita was warm. One order is a portion big enough for 4 people. Juicy Chicken - 5 stars! Cooked perfectly, the name does it justice -- this was juicy, rich in flavor and delicious. Beet Salad - 4 stars. The beets were good, could have used a bit more feta and walnuts. (Personal preference) Plain Tahdig - 3 1/2 stars. My buddy liked this, I thought it tasted a bit stale. This is basically crispy rice that pairs well with stews. Combination of 3 Stews - 5 stars. This was excellent! Each stew was robust and rich in flavor and excellent with rice or the leftover pita from the hummus. I unfortunately can't tell you what all the stews were, but I want them again! All in all, this is a solid spot for classic Persian dishes in an intimate environment.

    Juicy Chicken + Shirazi Salad

There is no greater joy than a restaurant achieving what it has promised and Sadaf did just that during my visit. I ordered the Juicy Chicken but little did I know I'd be served the juiciest, and perfectly flavored chicken breast I've had in my life. To make matters even more impressive, the Shirazi Salad was fresh, bright, and I took the liberty of dipping the last bits of my chicken in the citrusy juice--what an absolute treat. Visit them for your next professional meeting, date, or catch-up with your best friend. It's a classy space with a super attentive staff, and at a shockingly reasonable price for BH. Enjoy!

Holy sh... This place is amazing! Funny thing I recently ate at a spot I thought was my #1, but this might just be better. The place looks both fancy and cozy. We came here after my theater performance to celebrate, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the juicy chicken it was drenched in marinade and incredibly tender, savory, and perfectly salted. We also got the koobideh kabob, which was just as juicy and full of flavor. The sautéed mushrooms were a nice surprise too really tasty! Even the tea was served in a super cozy and stylish way. The staff were kind and professional. Highly recommend! PS:Forgot to add the hummus was Delicious!!!

    Tahdig, A must!

I would give this place 10 Stars if possible!…read more A real hidden gem in Beverly hills and I would highly recommend going here! A very exclusive Brunch menu but everything was a major hit! HUMMUS MASBACHA 10/10 was so smooth! Really flavorful and everyone wanted more of this! This was a vegetarian option which came with some chickpeas and a boiled egg on top. Just a heads up in case you don't eat egg that you should ask to take it off. PITA BREAD - This game with the hummus and it was perfectly warm and toasted and soft on the inside and crispy and the outside and just a mind-blowing pita bread! CHARRED EGGPLANT 9/10 was really soft and had a mild sweet flavor. It was cold which I was a little surprised by, but it went well with the warm Pita that came with the hummus! Only reason I took off a point is because it felt a little oily and it was the only item that didn't get fully wiped off the plate. CAULIFLOWER FLORETS 10/10 So flavorful and I think this might have been the family's favorite on the menu because it just disappeared. BREAKFAST BURRITO with FALAFEL 11/10 My in-laws don't eat meat or egg and wanted a proper vegetarian item for breakfast and we asked to customerize the burrito by replacing the eggs and bacon with falafel. Father in the thought he would not eat any of the burrito but ended up actually finishing his half of it! The restaurant needs to add this as an item on the menu! SHAKSHUKA with MERGUEZ SAUSAGE 10/10 What are really delicious and hearty breakfast item here. Husband and I shared this one and it was really flavorful and a good portion size as well. Good amount of sausage in there that went with the egg and the tomato sauce. JERUSALEM BAGEL - 12/10 This game along with the shakshuka and I think everyone on the table wanted more of it! It was actually warm and so huge and had that perfect crisp outside and a really lovely flavor. Cannot say enough good stuff for this one. SHUK SALAD with CHICKEN BREAST 10/10 Just a simple and healthy salad here but I would highly let the money if you want to balance out some of the heavy items on the menu but still get some vegetables and protein in. We did not use any of the dressing.

What happened to Nua???…read more It used to be a hidden gem; a warm, welcoming restaurant with exceptional food, genuine family-like service, and generous, satisfying portions. All of that is gone. The food is unrecognizable. The Israeli breakfast looked like a sad box lunch. The shook salad was essentially a bowl of arugula with a few stray vegetables hiding somewhere inside. And the famous Hummus Masabaha, once a signature dish worth returning for, has been reduced to a small cup of garbanzo beans with a drizzle of olive oil and a single egg, at less than half the size it used to be. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone who remembers what it once was. Bring back the real Nua!

But the $39 (at this writing) 3-course lunch special was a fantastic deal -- not just the super reasonable price, but the food quality! Since there were five of us, we had almost every combination of their (quite extensive) menu. From appetizers, to main course, to dessert, every item was impressive! Service was impeccable! Our waitress was cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was quite busy when we came but our orders showed up very quickly -- now, a lot of people (from the front line to the back kitchen) had to have work very hard for that to happen! And my hat off to them all. From my foodie friends who had been here many times, most of things on their menu are good, but the seafoods are especially good, which I can attest to based on the salmon tartar, seabass, and other fish we had that day. The desserts were phenomenal! See pictures... The burger-shaped Tiramisu looked great and tasted great. The lemon sorbet was rich but refreshing.... At my foodie friend's recommendation, we order an extra dessert -- the awesome looking and massive Napoleon! If you like to admire your food before you eat it, this one might please you. Overall, a great dining experience and I'm planning more gatherings there as I write....

It has a European feel to it. A place where you don't just eat, you "dine" and where lunch or dinner is an "event". The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I felt well taken care of. The table we got was just perfect. Exactly what I had asked for when making a reservation. The music was delightful and a good, soft background volume. They played songs in different languages and also an oldie but goodie favorite of mine "Mambo Italiano". I was offered a purse rest for my purse. Such a nice gesture. I did not know such a luxury existed! I love that they offer this feature for the ladies. We came for lunch during a holiday weekend to celebrate a special occasion and the place was packed. We ordered from the three course prix fixe menu which is an excellent deal. I ordered the gazpacho soup which was one of the soups of the day. It was one of three soups that were offered. I ordered it because it had a vegetarian broth. The presentation was beautiful. It was served on a cutting board with a side of garlic bread. I'm so glad I chose this soup. It was delicious! My dining companion got the minestrone soup. It was served in a cast iron dish. A nice presentation. I was told it was also very good! For the main course I got the fish of the day. It was sea bass. It was served butterfly style. The fish was so tasty. I loved how perfectly cooked it was. It flaked when I put my fork on it and melted in my mouth. There was some tasty green sauce lightly drizzled on the side too. A perfect accompaniment to the delicate fish. I noticed a lot of people ordering this dish around me. My dining partner liked the branzino they ordered. For dessert I got the tiramisu and my dining companion got the lemon sorbet. The tiramisu is also a popular choice here. I saw it being carried around to lots of tables. It was soft and flavorful. I love the sweet coffee flavor and the spongy lady fingers. My dining companion's sorbet was also deliciously sour. It was served in a lemon which was a treat for the eyes! Both drastically different desserts. Both excellent. Overall, our visit to Novikov was fantastic! I had never heard of the restaurant before discovering the Beverly Hills location but apparently it is an international brand. I believe the original location is in London. Novikov is the last name of the restauranteur responsible for these restaurants. This is a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion. Also, of note, is that they have a party room in the back. Valet parking, street parking, and free parking lots close by.

Honestly didn't have much expectation but I stand corrected. Most orders were tapas portions (except the pizzas although still reasonably portioned) which allowed us to try several selections off the menu. Can't pick a favorite as they were all exceptional. And the drinks were also top notch. 1. Asian pear and Brie pizza: excellent. The leftovers were also just as exceptional. Flat bread pizza (6 small thin slices) topped with guava fromage, arugula, slices of Asian pears for the slight crunch and sweetness. Fantastic. Just order 2. Shawarma tacos: Smokey chicken with cabbage and pickled onions. Very good. 3. Tripoline Pasta: handmade pasta with pasilla pepper cream and romesco (to give it a creamy and nutty texture with a slight spicy kick). Phenomenal. Ended up ordering a second. A must order!!! We had a reservation for 9:15 PM and arrived at 9:22 PM. After checking in, we still waited about 25 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. While delays can happen, things only got worse from there. Once seated, our server never introduced himself, and we didn't even know who our server was until he eventually came to take our order. After ordering, we waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Throughout the meal, service was extremely slow and inattentive. No one checked in on us, asked if we wanted another round of drinks, or offered additional food. When we did want another drink, our server was nowhere to be found. I eventually had to get up from the table and look for him myself. By the time he came over, I was so frustrated that all I could ask for was boxes and the check. What made the experience even more disappointing was that this was supposed to be a celebration dinner, and instead we spent most of the evening waiting. We even noticed another guest in front of us complaining about the service, but we tried to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. I've been to bacari before and have always enjoyed it, which is why this experience was so surprising. Unfortunately, the combination of the delayed seating, long food wait times, and lack of service left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope this was just an off night, but it definitely fell far below the level of hospitality I expected.
