Tehran plate with side of salad and rice(comes with order)
    Lyna K.

Experience: Came here on a Sat early evening. No reservations, just walk up. We were seated outside, then once a party left we took the table inside by the window. Small space but cozy. There were people there. The food came out pretty quickly, music was lively inside. Cute location, I liked the cafe style set up. First time trying Persian food. Was fun being in this enclave. It's a good location and next to many other bakeries, shops, etc. Food: Ordered 3 small plates (roasted eggplant dip, hummus, and pickled veggies), tahdig with 2 stews, and the Tehran plate special, which came with a plate or rice and a salad. Everything was very very tasty. From the dips to the stews, rice, and juicy meets. Very fresh, seasoned well, good flavor, a great dinner meal. Service: It was more of an order at the counter experience, not much interaction, but didn't mind it. Parking: Metered parking on Westwood, on a Saturday evening, plenty of open spaces. Ended up parking in a neighborhood 2 minutes from the restaurant, very easy and convenient. Verdict: Fun date night idea and location. Would def recommend the cuisine to anyone, can't go wrong, delicious food.

Amazing food and service. One of the best kabobs I've had. The two people working there did it all. A true family business. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend!

Visiting the area and found this spot near me, wow what a treat. The Lady who welcomed me and my friends is the hostess, cook and food runner. Worth the wait and I would wait again. Had the Chicken (Flat) kabob and salad with a side of pickled vegetables. YUMMY!!! Truly enjoyed the visit, sitting outside and enjoying this meal.

The Chelo Kabob Koobideh was a bit dry and just tasted like hamburger. Mast O Mosir was good. Nothing good enough for me to try anything else on the menu.

    The molded pita bread
    Totally C.

Today I placed an order through GRUBHUB. I was craving the Ash e Reshteh soup because I hadn't had it in years. I've never eaten here before but I used to get the soup in Glendale. I ordered the soup with tabouli salad and requested pita bread on the side. My order was delivered and while I was eating the soup I noticed green mold on the pita bread. I called the restaurant and spoke to a woman and told her that there was mold on the pita bread. She said that it doesn't come with pita bread anyways. I told her that doesn't justify why I received the bread with mold on it. I told her that I'm going to post a review. She said do whatever you like!

    K7-Koobideh

The food was amazing in my opinion, as one of the most underrated Persian restaurants in California. I got the #K7 and the meat was very flavorful with soft buttery rice and roasted veggies. I would definitely recommend anyone who loves beef to try it. A sweet lady runs the restaurant and although it was just my friends and I inside, she was so personable and made us feel at home. The inside of the restaurant is a little small but also has lots of outdoor seating where you can enjoy your meal. I personally would love to go again just to support the wonderful lady who works there but the food is definitely worthwhile as well. Overall I strongly recommend!!

We came to Matū for the Dinner for Two, and everything we were served was impeccable. The seasoning was spot on, the salt level was perfect, and every cut of meat was cooked beautifully. I'm a big fan of my steak on the rarer side, and Matū absolutely delivered. The braised beef cheek was probably the highlight of the night for me. It was unbelievably tender, rich, and one of the most memorable bites of the meal. After finishing the Dinner for Two, which really showcased the quality of the meat, we decided to split a cheesesteak since "that's what they're known for." When it arrived, it looked incredible. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended for me. The meat tasted oddly oily. I'm not sure if it was the cut, the preparation, or even the cheese, but it came across as heavy and greasy compared to the beautifully simple, clean flavors of the steak dinner. It was also underseasoned, and I found myself tasting the sesame seeds on the bread more than the filling itself. The chips were fresh and crunchy at first, but they lost their texture surprisingly quickly, so eat those immediately. Overall, I absolutely loved the steaks, sides, and cocktails, and I'll happily be back for those. But as for the cheesesteak? Once was more than enough.

Matu is a dream for meat lovers, with a menu centred entirely around Australian wagyu. Nothing…read moreshowcases that commitment better than the Matu dinner ($87 per person; minimum 2 persons), a multi-course meal that highlights different cuts of the cow in every single dish. Things begin with a 24-hour bone broth shooter, looking like a glass of gravy but tasting like concentrated umami. Rich, warm, and deeply comforting, it's remarkable how delicious it is despite containing only broth. The steak tartare follows with freshly chopped beef, egg yolk, and what the menu describes as a "Japanese accent," possibly togarashi. Whatever the seasoning blend is, it works beautifully. The tartare is incredibly flavourful despite its minimalist presentation. Thin, lightly toasted crostini accompany it without overpowering the beef, though I did ask for extra slices just to finish every bite. The eight-hour braised beef cheek was one of my favourite courses. So tender and moist that you could practically eat it with a spoon, the richness is balanced by a silky celeriac purée that ties everything together beautifully. It's the kind of dish that immediately makes you want another serving. Even their '47' salad leans heavily into the restaurant's beef-first philosophy, featuring more steak than greens. The 3-ounce centre-cut filet was impressively tender for such a lean cut, and although it arrived rarer than I'd typically order, it worked perfectly. At Matu, diners aren't asked how they'd like their steak cooked. The kitchen prepares it to the chef's specifications, trusting the quality of the beef and their technique. As for the romaine leaves underneath, they're coated in a signature dressing that tastes remarkably similar to Caesar, despite being made without dairy or eggs, then finished with a generous showering of Parmigiano. After all that beef, you'd think sharing a 12-ounce ribeye would feel excessive. Somehow, it didn't. The steak is prepared simply, allowing the quality of the wagyu to speak for itself, with crispy grilled broccolini providing a garlicky contrast alongside it. A small dish of salt is presented at the beginning of the meal, though Matu intentionally keeps the seasoning restrained. Personally, I appreciated the lighter touch and never felt the need to add more. Dessert arrives in the form of Scott's flourless chocolate cake ($12), dense and rich without being overly sweet beyond a dusting of powdered sugar. After an entire menu devoted to beef, I almost found myself jokingly wondering whether wagyu somehow made its way into dessert too.

Thankfully, the place was easy to find once you arrived off the Bloomingdale's Court elevator. At first glance, the place was a ghost town. Exposed to the rest of the mall, they have an advantage for a decent view with the glass window as their one wall. With the exception of that, I felt like you could see a place like this at LAX. I honestly though they were closed, so I did a quick walk-around then by the time I came back, a girl was at the host stand. I told her I placed an order to-go and she said she saw my order being prepared in the back. I asked to see a menu since it was slightly different than what was being offered online. As I went to the bar area, a man came by asking if they were open so I guess he encountered the same desolate environment that I had. Another woman came out from the back to see if I was being helped. Decided to go with a non-alcoholic mojito and for some odd reason, a brownie. Food was brought out and I had a brief wait as she prepared the drink for me. Service was pleasant with the ladies I had dealt with. As for the food, I actually ordered the chicken tenders and fries from the kids menu ($12). Fries were tasty, and the chicken was flavorful. I don't say this often, but it was almost a little too salty. I did ask for bbq sauce but this was forgotten, so I'm glad the meat was decent on its own. As for the brownie, it was a rather small one but it was good. The mojito was okay; I can't believe I'm saying this but I guess I prefer the real (alcoholic) version, although I'm glad they have these 'refresher' options on the menu. Not going to lie, this place is rather expensive, but it's nice to have a new option in this area where the food is actually good. I wish Noor Cafe the best!

Long time no review! Took a break from typing but the munching never stopped…read more Coming in strong from my hiatus with a review for a well-known steakhouse located on the sunset strip. If you've been reading my reviews, then you know that I don't eat at high end restaurants too often. I knew that the fiancé was taking us somewhere nice for our anniversary and I even told him I was completely a-ok with my usual AYCE kbbq restaurant lol It's always a bit tricky dining at restaurants with a higher price point because it's harder to face the disappointment after the bill hits you in the face... but wow, we were both pleasantly surprised. From the valet attendants to the hostesses to our server to the GM to the server's assistants, the service was spectacular. I usually don't like sitting outside but the booth for our table was comfortable and somehow we stayed warm the entire time. I got a cocktail (blackberry smash) and the fiancé got a mocktail (zen garden). My drink was nice and refreshing, not too sweet, not too strong, it paired well with everything we ate. For starters, we ordered the tableside Caesar salad. It was a fun experience watching them making the dressing and salad right in front of you. I do prefer my Caesar dressing to be more anchovy forward but I still enjoyed the light-ness of the dressing. The croutons had a nice crunch and or soggy or well-done. Crab cake was flavorful and meaty and juicy, but there was something I didn't like about it. Like, it wasn't bad but I've also had better ones? Might be the sauce it came with because we were already full by the time we were finished with our starters. For our main, I had the hardest time choosing my main course but eventually decided on the sea bass. Fiancé chose their 6666xBOA ribeye, and we also ordered their original fries and mac&cheese for our sides. GUYS, the sea bass... it's amazing. Look at the beautiful sear on it.. it was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. It's buttery, it's flaky, it's delicious.. I would go back just for this dish. As for the ribeye, both the fiancé & I preferred the sea bass over the steak. It was slightly overcooked, but flavor wise, it was still good. The peppercorn sauce and horse radish sauce were missing that punch. If you've ever dined at Al Biernat's in Dallas, their peppercorn sauce is so good you might even want to drink it. We would probably skip the fries next time, but the mac & cheese was a banger. I love the macaroni they used and the seasoning they used for it was so flavorful. It's like, it'd be the star of your Thanksgiving dinner type of flavorful. To end our dinner, our server brought us a complimentary toffee bread pudding for our anniversary. At first we were thinking about skipping dessert because we were both so full but our dessert stomach suddenly appeared for this one. Such a well balanced dessert.. like it wasn't overwhelming in anything. The texture was absolutely perfect too and I have not stopped thinking about this dessert. I'm already planning my second visit - sea bass, brussel sprouts with a nice glass of wine and toffee bread pudding to finish. Phew this review is getting long.. but ending it with a special shout out to the wonderful GM in training! Ernie or Bernie.. good luck with your training and with your new location in Mexico! You were amazing and thank you for making our dinner special.

Service was AMAZING and for this reason alone I would absolutely return. They made us feel very welcomed especially given our food restrictions (I have some allergies while another person in our party is vegan), which was very impressive. All the staff there were friendly and helpful. We had tons of questions about booking a large reservation in the future which they were so sweet about answering. Ambiance was very chill! Lots of seating options, wasn't busy for a late lunch, and everything seems very organized too. This place honestly seems great for both small parties and bigger parties of people. Last but not least, the food! We didn't get to try the kbbq this time but I love that there are tons of options on the menu. We got several dishes like kimchi fried rice (my friend's), cold noodle, beef brisket hot soup, garlic fries. Everyone was in agreement that it was all delicious. Definitely coming back for the kbbq next time! PARKING is important to mention too. If you can find free street parking consider yourself lucky! There is a garage with the entrance next to it that says "PARKING" which they had us pay $20 with cash or Venmo. Parking guy said we had 2 hours to return with a receipt from the restaurant so they'd give us $10 cash back (essentially making parking $10 or $20 if you go over the limit). Inside the restaurant it does say $5 parking on the wall which we asked about but this only applies on Mondays to Fridays, and we came on a Saturday. I'll add a photo of this. I did consider removing a star for the whole parking situation but I'll keep it for now. Other than the parking being a pain (as is typical for the area), we loved it here.

I recommend the ribeye! IMO it's better than their featured tomahawks flavor wise. Comes with two filets for like $65. I normally throw a brisket in there too and it's more than enough with the banchan. Spend around $110-$120 for 2 with tip -- no alcohol
