Disaster. First, the owner was rude as she sat us and proceeded to run around crazy bumping into me without an apology. Second, the service was horrible. Went here for the first time. I'll start with decor, was cool. Was not busy at all. However, it seemed that the staff were doing double multiple jobs, bartending and serving. I found that odd. There were several beers out on draft, I get it happens, but when there are several, that is just disappointing. My particular server did forget to grab me my beer. With not a lot going on, it seemed like there was a lot. Put more staff on. The food. The chicken and waffles, chicken so bland! Must have added flavor/salt to everything else instead. Way way way way wayyy to salty! I got the country fried chicken sandwich, the ruffles... should not be actual ruffles, crumble them. I don't want actual chips on my sandwich, and if I do, I sure do not want them cooked. The gravy, I was excited until I tried it. Between the ruffles and gravy, how's your salt?! Definitely think it needs less salt by a mile. I never add salt to my food as it is, certainly guarantee for others to never have to, perhaps take the salt shakers off the table. read more

First off, someone needs to delete all the pictures of the wedding. People looking for a place to eat on yelp and the first pictures they see of this place is a wedding cake from somewhere else and random people like they have something to do with the food quality at this place. Really good vibe, almost like a glorified biker barn. Big section in the back outside next to the smoker with picnic tables and stuff. I will say it is much more of a Burger and Country Pizza type place. Not relying heavily on their BBQ selection. And I'm only judging them on what they have for BBQ. They do have Ribs but no Brisket. Ribs were St. Louis style with sauce all over them, tasted like it was grilled for a bit. Meat fell complete off the bone (which aint a good thing) I could practically inhale the meat off the bone. Tender and easy to eat but hot like crazy in the middle which suggests it was microwaved, can't really blame them. I know they have the smoker but it almost feels like they use it once or twice a week. The Ribs were good, just not that real nice authentic smoker style taste. Rib meal come with a Veggie, A potato choice, and a cornbread. Cornbread came in the mini loaf shape. Sweet but a little bit dry, it was fine. Veggie of the day was Asparagus and they were steamed with some nice garlic and salt. I thought I was getting Mashed potato but it was a baked potato. Grabbed some mac and cheese. Gemelli pasta for whatever reason, Very Saucy and Very Cheesy, I can at least taste the cheese flavors but it wasn't any specific type of cheese flavor like a white cheddar or something like that. We've been here several times. Always a good meal (try the pulled pork quesadilla!!) and our servers have always been friendly and on the ball. Tonight we had Joe for our server and he was great! I would not recommend eating here after my recent experience. Sat at the bar with two other friends. Bartender was nice at best but kind of unhelpful. Asked for what was on tap. She said nothing on tap. I said what ciders do you have, she proceeds to say downeast ON TAP?? Thought you had nothing on tap. We ordered some apps which were very unappetizing upon arrival. Mozzarella sticks were sickeningly huge, like comically big and really didn't taste good. Almost like they were freezer burnt. Fried pickles were ok but nothing to rave about. Definitely won't return. Other staff were sitting talking and hanging out. Granted it wasn't very busy yet but certainly unprofessional. I would have given more stars, but our waiter did not have a mask on and neither did one of the hostesses. When I asked our waiter why he wasn't wearing a mask, he replied that he forgot and put it on. We got the sausage & pepper pizza which was really good, great crust. We also got the nachos, but there was very little cheese, not very good. Back to our waiter, he only checked on us when he brought food, never came back. While most of the staff were wearing masks, many had them pulled down onto their chins so not covering their mouth and nose. Also it is quite off putting to have the hostess wearing a political mask, especially since it was around her neck not on her face. The food was mediocre at best, but as we were uncomfortable because of the improper mask wearing and politics, we wouldn't have enjoyed ourselves even if it was amazing. Been going to Saddle up for Bike night. The place is closed for these events so get on your iron horse and check it out. There is usually a $10 cover to get in that goes to a local charity. There is food and drink for sale once you are in. There is a large back area for people to gather or you can sit at tables or around the bar. I had a pig roast plate with a side of potato and pasta salad. No bad but nothing off the planet. Bikes are parked all over and sometimes they have a few vendors set up. If it is a nice night then parking can get full. They did have a parking attendant and police presents to help out. Worth checking out if you haven't been. read more

Horrible. The only thing that was good about this restaurant was our very sweet waitress who was obviously under a lot of stress and received 0 help from her boss (who was absolutely hammered). We waited 2 1/2 hours for less than half of our tables food. The food we did receive made at least three people in our party feel sick or throw up. One of us ordered a shepherds pie meal and couldn't get through more than two bites. How in the world do you mess up shepherds pie? The only thing that was close to edible was pizza I ordered. I ended up giving slices to multiple of the group because I felt bad they were all waiting for food whilst watching tables who had arrived after us not only receive their orders - but LEAVE before we even got food. We were comped 20% while the owner was complaining to us about his profits (which is totally professional) and how he couldn't do the right thing by comping AT LEAST 50% of the meals that we didn't eat. His wife was also really sweet and told us "well at least we fed you" in a very rude tone which was ironic because - again - majority of us didn't eat the food we were given or got sick from what we did eat. To top the night off, some random lady who was so drunk her face was swollen grabbed me, kissed me, and then proceeded to insult my friends haircut. So this place is either over-serving their customers, or they are continuing to serve new customers that are blatantly way too drunk. Figure it out. We entered with a rather large party with a reservation. It was busy, they seemed slightly understaffed. The expectation at this point was that it would be a bit of a wait and the very very very kind and patient waitress told us this. Now what was not expected was the food to take over two and a half hours to get out. Well actually 3 of the 12 courses came out about an hour before the rest. Food was mediocre and made 3 of our party throw up. We mentioned to the owner about the wait and just wanted an answer as a party that seated a half hour after us had: Arrived, Ordered, Eaten, Paid and left before our food had come out. The owner, who had said something along the lines of "sorry we are busy kitchen is backed up I've had to help them out" had really been walking around very obviously intoxicated (glassy and red eyes, blush cheeks and slurring speech) and not helping his staff at all. The attitude that was taken with the members of my party as if we were somehow at fault was very surprising. I've never had someone be that convinced they are in the right when they are the one who had screwed up. He truly believed he was in the right. If you are gonna run a restaurant maybe don't get cocked and avoid responsibility for your kitchen being inefficient. If we had just gotten an explanation as to what happened and why we had to tell our waitress what we ordered a second time two hours later then this would have been avoided. read more

Cruising 125 Kingston, NH, decided to pull in, realizing it was the former Pond View Restaurant from long ago. Cool interior, great view of the pond, definitely going in the nice weather to sit outside!!! They have an awesome Pizza oven and chef. The menu has something for everyone! We had a small cheese pizza with onion, one of the best I have had in many moons, and the Pan Seared Salmon, blackened with pineapple jalapeño relish, he loved it. We were in last weekend for a Lions club fundraiser. Our waitress Alexa was great, unfortunately the food and drink left a lot to be desired. Who serves an old fashioned in a plastic cup? Each person at my table complained their food wasn't hot. The food looks good on the menu but it appears they can't execute it or the staff is poorly trained. I have been here 3 times . The first couple times for burgers, which I found to be very good and more than satisfying. Now, this last time, we decided to try the pizza. Try being the operative word here, as in we tried to eat it. My dogs tried to eat it, and neither species of animal could bear this burnt flavorless cardboard Frisbee. Service was horrible. When we arrived the restaurant was not packed with customers. We had reservations for 15 people and the hosted seated in an area with multiple open tables. We thought it would be great for the adults to sit at one table and the kids to sit another table. We did not have a server come to our table, we had to ask someone to come to our table for service. Finally we placed our order. The kids got their drinks, but the adults didn't get anything. We had to ask the server for our drinks. Another party was seated next to us. Yup, they got their food and drinks with no problems. We waited for 1.5 hours and still no food. We had to request our food to go, due to our time constraints. The hostess was rude. She said that we were all supposed to be seated at one table. 15 people supposed to jam ourselves into one table (packed like a can of sardines). Mind you, there were several open tables. There were poor directions as to where the hostess wanted us to be seated. That was the start of a cascade of poor/ lack of service. I will not be returning or referring anyone to go to SUS. The food did not taste good, as it ended up being a take out order. The food was bland and soggy. Overall I would have rated this 0/5 stars, but I had to put 1 star as this is the apps requirement. I was here tonight for the first time with some friends. The wait staff was great, the restaurant was clean, and the drinks were good. I would say my real only complaint was that I ordered crab cakes which the menu said they were lump crab cakes pan-seared, but these were definitely not all lump and they had a panko-crusted coding which looked to be deep-fried. First time here, we just ordered...I ordered the baked haddock, instead of rice pilaf I asked for a baked potato. The server says 2 dollar upcharge on the baked. WTH?? More to come when the order comes out... Where do I start....? Our server guessing is pretty new, he wasn't very good. Water with lemon, no lemon...burger with mayo, no mayo...a drink was horrible, "I'll take it off the bill", was still on the bill. Well done burger was like a hockey puck, the fries were even worse. Guessing they were old and refried, they were not edible. The gobbler....the turkey was good but everything else was nasty especially the waffle. If possible I'd give zero stars.
