Look, I'm totally fine dropping serious cash on good food. I've eaten at fancy spots like Maestro's in Beverly Hills and some unreal places around the world, and I never complain about the bill if it's worth it. But this place? Man, I feel straight-up robbed. The food was garbage, and the portions were so tiny I'm still hungry just thinking about it. I got the chicken kebab with rice and some raw veggies. The chicken was dry as a bone, had zero flavor, and was so small I thought they accidentally served me a snack for a pigeon. The rice? Bland, dry, and basically a waste of a plate. My daughter went for the beef kebab, which had a tiny bit more seasoning than my sad chicken, but the portion was still a total joke. For what they're charging, I expected way better than this. Here's the kicker: I was actually pumped to eat here after seeing all the hype online. Now I'm just mad--mad at the restaurant for serving this trash, and mad at whoever wrote those rave reviews. I stopped in here for brunch with my girls before heading over to a vineyard and I am so glad we did! Sadie's atmosphere is light and airy, and all of their breakfast dishes have a Mediterranean flair to them. Service was fast and the drinks were tasty! I elected to go with their breakfast skillet. My only "complaint", which you can't even really call a complaint, is that the dish came with a ton of wedge cut potatoes, a little too much in comparison to the amount of eggs and sausage. That was the most overwhelming part of the dish, so expect to have left over potatoes, if you order this. I'm not a local, but if I was, those potatoes would've been brought home, to make another dish out of it because they were delicious and seasoned very well. read more

It was really pleasant for a late dinner. Our waitress was really sweet the entire time, we had some great convo with her and she genuinely seemed excited about the food. The food was top tier. The whipped feta is a MUST when you come here. The honeycomb, pomegranate, edible flowers - atop the whipped feta on a bit of charred pita - is delectable. We finished the whole appetizer and probably could have had more for our meal if we didn't want to try anything else! I got the lamb kebab, which comes over rice. The rice was perfectly cooked and flavorable. The lamb had amazing flavor and I would definitely recommend. My partner got the salmon entree, which was okay and cooked well, but I'm not sure it's something I would consider. The only negative I have for this place is that both the cocktails, in my opinion, were lacking. For $14 a pop, I expected them to be a bit better. Our server was great with our party of six - which was much appreciated, especially when we were ordering our mimosas :) We got the Mezze plate for an appetizer - I adore the beet tahini. Absolutely loved this spot! Highly recommend for Mediterranean lovers. We ordered the mezze plate & whipped feta as apps and they came extremely fast. They were delicious. Loved all the different dips. As a main course, we split the lamb kabob. This took a lot longer to get to us. Maybe if they gave a few more minutes before bringing the apps, it wouldn't have felt like forever. The lamb was delicious and the rice was so tasty. I was utterly bored by the food here. Nothing was BAD, so to speak, but it just wasn't interesting. The inside is really really beautiful though, and we went for prom dinner so that aspect of it was great. I just wouldn't go here do you're looking for real good food. Here's what we tried: -Hummus Plate: 8/10 - The hummus was very fresh, clearly made by hand, and topped with a lovely drizzle of olive oil. They give a LOT of hummus, though not as much pita. A great appetizer though, classic. -Braised Whole Lamb Shank: 6.5/10 - The meat itself was VERY tender, fell right off the bone. The flavor, however, of both the meat and the couscous/accompaniments, was lacking. -Artisan Fresh Pasta: 6/10 - Didn't love this. It was very fresh tasting, if that's what you're looking for, but the flavors didn't meld very well and I felt that I didn't taste much pesto. The shape of the pasta was fun, though. -Steak With Corn: 7.5/10 - The street corn was flavorful and creamy, so I really liked that, and I thought the green crema had an aromatic and bright flavor that complimented the rest of the dish. I didn't try the steak itaelf, though my partner said it was pretty average, but the accompaniments were enough to convince me that this was the best plate of the night. -Spiced Rainbow Carrots: 4/10 - A mountain of lukewarm, not super flavorful carrots with a honey yogurt drizzle that would be great if it was balancing something really rich but instead only contributed to the dullness. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville so far. I've been here twice, once for a brunch and another time for New Year's Eve. First of all, they are able to accommodate gluten free restrictions as one of my friend has gluten intolerance. There are not too many options, but certainly feasible to find something. Kebabs are incredible here. I had salmon kebab with rice and their add-ons and was completely satisfied. For brunch, I had Shakshuka and rated it a 4 out of 5 just because it was a bit too spicy for me and was primarily sauce (I felt like it needed some veggies or something else mixed in the sauce). I really enjoyed the service here. Both times the servers were attentive checking in with us regularly but not to the point I felt pressure to either order something or get out (we took our time eating). The ambiance is wonderful. It was very busy on New Year's Eve, but the dimmed lighting created almost an intimate atmosphere. Music is not overly loud allowing normal conversation to flow while enjoying their wonderful dishes. After searching for something semi healthy I came across Sadie's via an internet search. The building is cute inside and out. There is a parking lot across the street but pricing is crazy. Maybe because it's near Vanderbilt university but $6/hr is outrageous. I was immediately greeted upon entering and offered my choice of seating: high top, low top, or bar. I selected a low top and was given a cute table near the bar. I started with a strawberry lemonade mocktail. It was delicious. I could taste the strawberry purée and the fresh lemons. For my entree I went with the lamb kabob cooked medium well. Omg the Moroccan spices were so good. The meat was tender and the tzatziki sauce was clearly made there! I cleaned my plate. Had a lovely date night this past Friday. We had reservations for 7:45 & were sat immediately. Although a little too dark for menu reading, the ambiance was warm & cozy overall. Our waiter was very attentive & great the whole night. He ended up giving me a cocktail on the house after apologizing for it taking so long to come out, although I personally had no complaints. We started with the Long Stem Dill Artichokes which were an easy 5/5. Fried to perfection on the outside, tender on the inside & complemented well with the dill aioli. Personally my favorite dish of the night. For entrees, we both ordered the Moroccan Spiced Lamb. I'm gonna have to give this a 3/5. The tzatziki, harissa, roasted tomato and rice that came with were all good, but several bites of the lamb kebab were gristle - so chewy & tough that it wasn't edible. The good pieces were delicious though. Slightly disappointing since it's not a significant portion of meat to begin with. We also ordered a side of the spiced carrots which were 5/5 incredible. Very tender with the perfect balance of sweetness & spiciness. We also ordered the Sadie's Frosé & Blueberry Butterfly mocktail. We both agreed the frosé was one of the best we've ever had. 7/5 on that. The mocktail was good too. Street parking is probably easiest if you're not familiar with the area. Starters: you must get the honey whipped feta and the mango honey harissa chicken wings! The honey whipped feta was so fresh, flavorful, and the touch of honey was perfect. The mango harissa wings caught me by surprise!! I was thinking how good can wings be?! I was super impressed as it was very flavorful and comes with a garlic aioli type sauce. Entrees: we got the salmon kabob with price and the lamb shank. The salmon kabob was $25 and while it was delicious, I was disappointed at the portion because you only get one kabob... the ratio of salmon pieces to rice doesn't make sense. 5 small bites of salmon. I think having 2 kabobs would make more sense. The lamb shank was delicious - it fell right off the bone. Great flavors and the sides worked well with the dish. We just got into town from California and we are totally not used to this level of hospitality. Ambience: The restaurant is very decorated and has a modern feel to it. My husband and I had the brunch buffet on Easter today. I did some research to find a good, reasonably priced brunch in Nash and decided to give Sadie's a try! First of all, the interior is STUNNING! Very light, bright, creatively decorated and beautiful! We loved the brunch! There was so much variety and everything looked so good! Favs were the ricotta pancakes with blueberry jam, the whipped ricotta dip (we like ricotta), deviled eggs, frittata, lox and bagel, and much more! There were so many choices! Desserts were top notch also! Beautiful and a great variety. Everything we tried was delish. Baklava and flourless chocolate tart were superb. For $42 you really get your money's worth! The chicken a little spicy but great amount on the pita. The side of potatoes were great as a small portion. My lamb gyro was tasty with lots of meat! The sauce I had to search for it on the pita but still a great tasting sandwich. We order water and sweet tea ( which was old tasting) not freshly brewed.. ( I know my tea from owning my own restaurant) .... I was in the Edgehill area and came about this place and had to try it for lunch. I had seen it on yelp before and it looked really good. To my delight, it was Very Good. I love mediterranean food and this place did not disappoint. We were promptly greeted and given a table. They do also have a fairly large covered patio area. Our server was Very nice and attentive. There is street parking but you have to get lucky to get a spot. There is a pay parking lot across the street that I found and it was $6.00 an hour ( it may be more on the nights & weekends ) They have plenty of different types of alcoholic beverages and have a good selection of menu items. It is moderately priced. The Kabobs are mid $20.00 dishes. The tzatziki is some of the best I've had. The whipped feta appetizer was one of the best I've had and it's enough for 3 people to share.
