This place is a little hard to find , but once you do find it , you'll be amazed by how much they offer for being such a small little hole in the wall located behind a gas station . I grabbed a quick teriyaki plate for dinner with some eggplant tempura and it did not disappoint ! They give you plenty of food and it was enough to share with another person ! I'll definitely be coming back not that I know this place exists ! I also recommend !

If you aren't actively looking for this place, it's actually really easy to miss. Ordered a few items just to try them out. Picked up the calamari, shrimp tempura and eggplant tempura for appetizers. They come pre-sauced which isn't to my liking, but it wasn't too bad. I'm not big on sweet sauces and there was unagi/teriyaki sauce drizzled up top. Ordered the bibimbap and it was almost salad like. It came with a heaping amount of lettuce which I'm not particularly used to. But there was more lettuce than there was rice. There wasn't enough flavor to me, nor was I given any additional sauces to add. Ie-sesame oil or red pepper sauce. So that was a slight disappointment The stir fried noodles were just ok to me. I ordered it in a medium spice and there wasn't enough spice.

My family has been coming here for almost 40 years! Food is amazing and the staff is always friendly :) HUGE portions of food as well! Definitely a must try if you are looking for something authentic!

Let's start off with the pros: -Server is nice -food was good -tables were clean Cons of MY experience: -Took 5-7min to receive my water after asking (not busy+everyone has been served but me) -My waiter never once came to check up on me during my whole dining experience (didn't need anything during my meal, but would've been nice to get checked up on it if I needed/wanted anything) -Felt like I was eating a chicken katsu instead of Sesame chicken (really minor issue to me, but guess was expecting a more traditional version of Sesame chicken) Price was okay. Got a lot of meat, but at the price of ~$20+tip. Guess my only main complaint is service. No pros to note about the food/price ratio for this particular order.

Found this place on YELP close to the Justice Center where we had an appointment. Don't let the location scare you away. It is right next to a gas station and a couple other buildings. We noticed they had a lot of take out orders. The menus are already on the table, so we were ready to order when the waitress came to our table. My husband had a Noodle Bowl and I had a Teriyaki Chicken box. My husband loved his dish and mine was also delicious and there was so much, I had enough for lunch the next day. We were really happy we took the advice of YELP and stopped here for lunch. You will not be disappointed.

This restaurant is located near a cross street to Folsom Blvd between Howe and Watt. Normally, it's very easy to pass by and never notice it or the bagel place 2 doors down from it. However, I was actively scanning for a takeout meal after work. I stopped here for the teriyaki short ribs lunch plate and the salmon teriyaki to-go. I waited outside while the food was prepared (This being the era of the pandemic). I had never been here before. I've been making a point of trying new places for take-home lunches. This place was a nice surprise. The serving portion size was decent. The short ribs were savory, hot, and very delectable. Umami satisfying. The salmon was pretty good, as well. I would not hesitate to stop here again if in the mood for teriyaki meals.

Small mom and pop shop sitting next to a gas station on Folsom Blvd. Easy to miss. Parking is really limited but we were lucky to get one in the lot rather than the side street. They serve Korean/Japanese menu items. I finally came here after reading all the good reviews. I knew I was getting the sizzling beef bibimbap. It was great as others in our party enjoyed the salmon bibimbap, jalapeno and mushroom tempura as well. The owner was really nice and took good care of us. I would definitely come back to try other items like noodle dishes, noodle soups and bento boxes.

    No egg on the bibimbap?

It's a little different from a traditional dol sot bibimbap so you won't find a sunny side egg in there, but I think there is egg -- thin strips of omelette style egg, kind of like what you'd find in a Korean or Japanese rolled omelette.

The staff is courteous and prompt and it feels like you are being cared for by people who genuinely love their jobs. I think that largely reflects on a well run and managed restaurant which then shows up in every other aspect of the experience. The ambiance is clean, openm and intimate with dark wooden furniture and accents making you feel relaxed and able to focus on your meal. Just another sign of the great service. Finally, the meal. While in the past I've not fully enjoyed myself with this menu (the rolls are too complex for my liking), this time I was intentional to finds selections that were simpler and sounded more traditional. The Albacore Pepperfin was one of those finds that I'll be sure to return for. It featured an excellent citrus sauce with very nice and thin cuts of albacore. By far the best thing I've had from the menu. That said, the other roll and handroll were also prepared masterfully and with great cuts of fish. Lastly, I have to mention the kids menu. Absolutely excellent and with selections and presentation that show real knowledge of children. We will be returning customers here.

First, they might be understaffed (one server, one sushi chef, maybe one in back kitchen) making food service slow. The waitress tried her best, but she was clearly left on her own to wait on the sushi chef. However, the communication was lacking; when asked about a tiny portion size for the seaweed salad, she didn't really know how to respond and just gave a dismissive answer. I just wanted to know if it was meant for two or a single side. It looked smaller than normal. The food execution was also off--our salmon skin hand rolls were served sitting in a sticky sauce, making it awkward to pick up and leaving our hands a mess (I thought hand rolls were supposed to be dry on the outside wrapping) The biggest red flag was the bill. Every single a la carte item we ordered was priced 25+ cents higher on the receipt than what was printed on the menu. When questioned if the menu prices went up, the waitress seemed completely uninformed and claimed the owner includes tax in the item price--yet regular tax was still added to the final total anyway. They also charge extra for using a card. The math doesn't add up (or it's just plain confusing), the food service is slow, and management isn't giving their staff the information or support they need. I'd recommend double-checking your bill if you eat here.

Friends and I hadn't dined here in awhile, so my eyes widened with excitement when I saw signs by the entrance for all-you-can-eat on certain days and at certain times and I saw sushi tacos on their menu! Their service and music are excellent. The ambiance is spacious, so when the restaurant is busy with diners, the sound is not an issue at all. The TV screens show sushi making videos that get our attention hooked. The robot server has happy music playing and sweet messages on its screen, like KIT, as it rolls away. Their beautiful food display right by the entrance is the perfect way to entice customers to keep it moving to get a table, and not hesitate, if they are new customers. Their rolls are the biggest I have ever had so far from a sushi restaurant and all of their sushi sections we have enjoyed so far have seriously caused a flavor explosion right at first bite! They were greasy with some food residue. The rolls had four pieces per order and they were larger than expected, which I appreciated. We went with our Sushi Hook usuals: Lion King, Island, Broccoli, and Sexy Girl. The Broccoli and Sexy Girl rolls were okay; no complaints. However, the Lion King roll had cold rice. This threw us off since Lion King is a baked roll. The Island roll also didn't taste as good as I remember. I'm not sure if it needed more lemon or less sauce. It wasn't terrible, just not as great as I was expecting it to be.

The rolls were flavorful and well-made, with a noticeable focus on sauces. They do tend to go heavier on the sauce, so if you like your sushi rich and packed with flavor, you'll probably enjoy it. On the positive side, the chicken teriyaki plate was amazing--great flavor, cooked perfectly, and easily the highlight of the meal. The quality of that dish really stood out. Overall, Arigato Sushi delivered some strong flavors, but the sushi roll could benefit from better structure and presentation to match the quality of the teriyaki.
