Just had a Saela sales person come to my door at 7:30pm and rang the door bell. We have a "no soliciting sign" posted right below the door bell that's impossible to miss. He either didn't see it or didn't care. By ringing the door bell, he woke our infant baby that we had just spent an hour getting down. When we told him this and pointed out the sign, he quickly tried to leave. BUT not before lying and attempting to misrepresent his intentions. He told us he wasn't a sales person but was going to be managing "the road" at our neighbors' and the neighbors two houses down. He told us he was "obligated" to inform us for "liability" reasons. He couldn't point out the road, he could articulate why he was there. He couldn't articulate the liability reasons. He said it was "in case we sue" when asked why we would sue, he couldn't provide an explanation. He kept looking at his wrist (that didn't have a watch) and kept saying that he "had to go" and "it was getting late." The entire exchange didn't make sense so we looked up the company on his hat and his jacket and lo and behold, it was a pest company. Not impressed with this exchange. I have a mouse problem. I tried Angi's for a referral because everyone we hire so far has been good. It was 30 seconds before I got a call from this company. The person was very nice and wanted to set me up with a home visit the same day. Alarm bells rang when he wanted me to sign a contract before anyone arrived. I said no but talked him into scheduling the appointment. I went through the contract which is very long, and I had many, many questions. Then I went to Yelp and read the reviews. I cancelled the appointments immediately. The only thing is, I gave him my credit card number and that makes me very nervous. I will be watching my statement carefully. I would hesitate to sign a contract with Saela. Their sales rep that came to our door to sign us up was obnoxiously persistent. We tried telling him No Thank you many times but he kept pushing it. He finally offered half off all services, he broke us down and we just wanted him to leave so we caved in and signed. It's a mistake, the service was not great, didn't see any real improvement. About a month ago we discovered a wasp nest under our roof and immediately called them to schedule a removal. 3 weeks and four phone calls later they informed us that they can't take care of it (after promising to get back to us within a day after each phone call). They said it is too high for them to reach. So basically I paid for the service as long as there was no issues, and once an issue came up they lied, drugged their feet and did not perform the service we were paying them for. Signed up a couple months ago because a technician was in the neighborhood, and we've had persistent issues with odorous house ants all summer. Each time they treat, the ants are back within a few weeks. Most recently, the ants returned literally the day after a supposed treatment two weeks ago, finding a new path into our kitchen. We scheduled an appointment for today before noon, which was confirmed yesterday. The deadline is 10 minutes away and there is not even a message that a technician is on their way. They are told to come out quarterly but keep trying to come to my home every 10 weeks vs 12 I have told them to come at 12 more then once and they keep saying it's based on availability of the technician. I promise I am okay if you come at the 13 week mark. This week I had a tech show up to my house saying I was scheduled for a service I logged into my portal and there was no appointment there , not his fault he is just doing what he told.
