All of the negative reviews are frustrating to see because they have to do with either door-to-door sales or the contract. They use their sales tactics because they work. Then you get mad when they work. But honestly, you would not have even signed on if you didn't have an issue to begin with. A contract is a contract. YOU signed your name on the dotted line. I am much more interested in the QUALITY of the work, rather than a bunch of people complaining about sales and contracts. HERE IS THE DEAL - Edge Pest Control is great. I refused to go into my basement for years because I was scared of the spiders. There were a lot of them, and there are also quite a few ways they could have entered the house. The service was excellent. I think I saw one spider about a month after the initial service and I called the office right away. They had someone out to the house within a few hours to spray. I have the quarterly contract, and if I see anything in-between treatments, they don't charge to come out and re-treat. I find the price to be insanely fair, considering how much someone would spend on traps/other pest control products. Will bugs return? Sure, sometimes. But not nearly at the rate they were, and they are taken care of immediately. I highly recommend Edge Pest Control. read more

I was using them for two properties. The actual spraying and taking care of insect issues was satisfactory. They became very pushy about the mouse protection package and indicated there was a mouse intrusion problem when there wasn't, just some exterior caulking that needed to be touched up. We declined the mouse protection package multiple times and ended up canceling service for both properties because of the pushiness. Six days after cancellation they charged us for the $320.99 mouse protection package which we never agreed to. I called for a refund which took some effort, but they agreed to and said it'd take some time to process. Hopefully that gets refunded in the next few days and I don't have to keep calling. read more

I payed for 3 visits but i messed one because I was in Texas so they didn't do the third service. They guarantee you that in a month you will no longer have cockroaches but the guarantee is misleading because, as in my case, I had to reschedule the appointment that I missed and by the time they were going to come the month had already passed, they told me that my guarantee It was no longer valid and that they will no longer do the third service for which I had already paid and I still have cockroaches. We have not been pleased. We had a wasp issue that we wanted resolved. In 2 visits over the summer, the issue was not fixed and we paid $250 for no results. Now, in the winter, they came for another visit (another $120), and I asked to cancel and they said they would come anyways, even if we were not home and that I cannot cancel - even though none of the treatments worked. I've never left a bad review on anything, but this is bad! Stay away from the predatory contract they make you sign, there is no way out. I had an issue with mice in my home. The technician came out set 3 boxes with glue traps and left. They never even tried to investigate where they may have been getting in. He was there for 5 minutes at the most. After 3 weeks (and 3 services), I still had several mice in my home. I checked the 3 traps and had one mouse in the garage trap. As a result, I set several traditional mice traps and caught over 15 mice. I have security cameras around all sides of my home. They would park on the street, walk to the front door and hang a service notification on my door knob and walk back to the truck and leave. They did nothing. When I called to cancel, they told me that there was an early termination fee. I'm still fighting with them, but after reading other reviews, I have a long road ahead of me to terminate the service. Coercive and disrespectful customer service! Was a customer for 2 1/2 years. Service has always been very good and effective. Service people were always friendly and professional. Today I called to reschedule a service. Spoke to two separate front line CSR's so I'm pretty sure the company trains them to ignore the customer and use coercive tactics to refuse customer service. The first CSR would not reschedule unless I told her why I wanted to. I told her the time was inconvenient for us, but that apparently was not a good enough reason. I told couldn't that if they couldn't reschedule, to cancel my service. She continued to try and coerce me into keeping the service and not rescheduling. After several more attempts to ignore me and coerce me into letting them come, she finally put me on hold to speak with a Customer Experience Representative. I told her that I wanted to cancel all services from Edge. She continued along the same line of coercive attempts as the CSR did. I had to threaten to have any of their representatives who set foot on my property cited for trespassing to convince her that I was serious about cancelling. She then accused me of being "unkind" to the first CSR, so I obliged and hung up the phone. I called back to verify that my account had been cancelled. I spoke to a different CSR who refused to acknowledge that I wanted to cancel service all together and used the same coercive tactics to confirm the original service date. I again stated that any EDGE service person would be reported for trespassing if they showed up to my home. Finally he confirmed with a Customer Experience Rep that services had been cancelled. After cancelling the service multiple times over the phone, I've never received an email stating that the service was cancelled, and they continue to show up to my house. My most recent attempt to cancel was in April, when they assured me they would not be back out. Then, two days ago, I got a call saying they would be out for my service this week. I told them not to come, and that I wanted to cancel the service. They confirmed that was the case, only for me to get home from a walk a couple days later to find a pamphlet on my door saying they had completed my service. read more

Edge is great up front. However, if you need to cancel your service it is impossible to get in touch with anyone. Attempting to call many times over a two week period results in a recorded message and then gets you placed on hold for 30 minutes. They do not respond to their online chat nor do they respond to emails yet they continue to charge you. read more

Kurt is amazing with Edge and goes above and beyond to get rid of our rodents, spiders, and wasps. He worked so hard knocking down wasp nests, etc. and risking being stung multiple times. I was able to stop them and tell them I did NOT want to continue service. Today they came out and serviced my home and charged me $129.99 that I told someone twice I did not want. I was not given a heads up or a reminder so that way I could call and stop them for the third time. I spoke with the "manager" and he was awful. They are refusing to refund my money that was unauthorized and I was basically told that because I didn't speak to a manager sooner that I have to pay. I am disputing this with my bank. Someone from Edge called back within minutes of leaving an inquiry on their site and agreed to come out on a Saturday and spray for wasps. When I was transferred to the person who would come out and do the spraying he said that he wouldn't come out unless I agreed to a year contract which would include 5 visits for $125 a visit (special price for me of course.) which is $625 a year to be bee-free. I told him we didn't need spraying for pests beyond wasps because we had a spider service, but he was aggravated and said that we should switch services if they weren't spraying for wasps like he would. I told him I wasn't comfortable agreeing to a year for a service I hadn't tried before, but he was very combative and insistent on the agreement. Literally to the point where I had to just hang up. I asked for them just to come out once and we'd see how it went, but he said no that wasn't their policy. It's hard to start a relationship with a company when they're more interested in getting your money then helping to solve your problem which in turn will gain your business long term. read more

I called Saela after finding some mouse droppings in my house and talked to a nice guy on the phone about getting something scheduled. The were first on my google search and I regret not reading reviews first. He explained to me that there was 9 services they perform and they could come out right away, each service was $149. He did not make it clear on the phone that I would be signing a contract and cannot cancel anytime. If you cancel before the 9 services you pay 50% of the remaining services. Thank goodness I looked at the contract before signing. I also realized that all 9 services equals about two years. I was not trying to commit to a 2 year contract over a few mouse droppings that appeared one morning. I called to cancel and they make it impossible to cancel. I mean impossible. I was passed onto 5 different people each tried harder and harder to get me to commit to this contract. I finally ended the call by cussing out a guy, which I feel bad about and it isn't like me but I'm not kidding, he wouldn't let me cancel until I finally freaked out on him and then finally I could cancel. This place wreaks of a scam to me. I never actually used their service so who knows how the actual pest control is, but my advice, find someone who doesn't try to blindly lock you into a contract! I called to complain about the shady sales practices. The guy I talked to snorted and laughed. He told me it was clearly stated in the contract that I was emailed. All I ever received was a receipt for services, there was no contract. When I asked for a supervisor, after a ridiculous time on hold, I was told NO ONE WAS AVAILABLE, but they would "call me back." Well that was 6 months ago, no call, and still stuck paying for this overpriced shit. Feeling as though I cannot win this battle, I decided that if they were going to charge me much more than agreed, for a contracted service that they didn't tell me was a contract, I would use them for every pest issue I had. That's what they're getting paid for, right? A few months ago, I was terribly surprised to find a mouse in the dog food container in the garage. I want to preface the fact we DID NOT enroll in their services, but this "review" is everything up until we decided to go elsewhere. Long story short, we almost hired them however I did some research and based on the Yelp reviews so far I basically was scared away. Our house is on an open space so we get more visitors than your average suburban house. Woodpeckers, spiders, mice/vole, snakes, coyotes, and even turtles from our creek. Today we were visited by what seems to be a field mouse and we don't want this little critter getting comfortable and inviting friends. Anyway I received a call from the "main office" and they quoted me a pretty decent price. Very competitive of what I'm currently paying from Wolfco however Wolfco only did insects for the same price where as Edge did both rodent and insects. At this time I didn't know Wolfco did rodents and they include it without additional costs. The north office called me after my quote and it was great. He was super polite, helpful, great customer service, and honestly almost made me jump ship. Luckily my 3 month old daughter was not having so I ended the call. He said he'd call me back at noon and during that wait Wolfco called me and explained that it isn't any additional cost to add rodent protection. Still being smittened by Edge's customer service I still had interest in ending Wolfco and joining Edge but I decided to see how others viewed them. Edge was not looking good and I basically lost interest immediately. Yelp and Home Advisor reviews weren't too great so I opted to stick with the company I know and enjoy. We've had a lot of spiders infiltrating the house lately along with hornets galore that for some reason want to live happily ever after in our shed and near the roof of our house. EDGE came out and sprayed the perimeter of our house, the entire garage, porch and around our shed and deck. They also set a trap in the backyard for the pesky and disgusting rat that keeps popping out from under the porch. They are a very professional company who takes the time to take down the names of everyone in the house and learns them before coming over. They were on time, thorough and walked us through the entire process and put our minds at ease. I highly recommend this company. read more

Do not hire this company. I signed a two-year contract with them back in 2017 for nine services. Years later they are telling me I am still under contract and there is no way to get out of it. They are rude, they will come and spray your house even when you ask them not to. They don’t keep track of their phone calls the way they should. After my name services they are telling me that my contact is renewed when I never signed for it. Beware of what you sign with this company. They will trap you. Do not use this place - they will play games with your contract. I had mice 2 years ago, bought the bundled package that would continue to service and check my place quarterly for $150/qtr. After the 2 years, I continued the quarterly monitoring service because the contract stated if there were any mice issues in-between services they would come out and address. A few months ago I started to find mice again, and so I called Edge to come out and address. When they came out, he said he couldn't do anything additional unless I signed up for another premium package at $300. He couldn't explain why I needed to do this when I already had been paying for the quarterly service and that I needed to call the office to explain, but he wouldn't do anything additional until I signed the contract. I signed thinking the office would be reasonable and refund. At this point he set out TWO more traps - that is it. That is what I paid $300 for. When I spoke to the office they only said that the premium package is what is needed above the quarterly service when there are significant mice problems. Well, like I said, that got me a grand total of two more traps outside of my house for that. The office manager was extremely rude and said if I didn't want the premium package, why would I sign up for it. Again, the serviceman that came out wouldn't do anything until I signed. They just try to figure out how to rope you into contracts without listening to your problems. At the end of all of this, they then tried to sell additional service by texting me and 10 other strangers in a group text trying to act like it was a personalized message. Like many of the other reviewers on here, I too was interested in using edge as my pest control people. Look on google revIews and they have glowing reviews but, look on yelp and not so much. This is telling perhaps?! I called edge on a Friday to inquire about their services. Both representatives that I spoke with were very pleasant however the second person was also very pushy on signing a two-year contract. When I relayed that I had no desire to sign a contract with someone that I had never used before (hello common sense), they said that the best they could do was a one year contract and offered "discounted" pricing (which given others reviews is pretty standard for them). Again, I relayed that for the right company I'd be happy to sign a service contract but that I wouldn't commit to a company whose services I had not used before, most especially as they charge 50% in unused services if you cancel said contract. At this point they became even pushier and very defensive, stating their worth and reviews on different platforms and saying that, "clearly not offering trial services is working for us". This occurred to the point that I had to hang up on them. That's just bad sales tactics and customer service when a prospective client is left with no other choice than to hang up the phone on you. It's pretty obvious that they're just after money and, obviously it's working for them, they're making money off of people naive enough to sign a contract where they'll be charged half the contracts worth for cancelling it. I had an Ant issue in my apartment. I called for a quote from edge and made it very clear I was not wanting a contract or long term agreement because we would be moving out about three months following the service. They said that was great and they were super awesome about getting the tech out to us. He was very friendly and it was all great. When he was done, he asked for some signatures and then left. I asked again to make sure it wasn't a contract. Then I got emailed a contract. No real way of breaking it. Today they apparently showed up at my apartment (on the third floor) and "inspected and treated the exterior" AND THEN CHARGED ME $120. I've had different tech's coming in telling me different things and not knowing what the previous tech had done, they have been recommending outrageous suggestions (recommending I get new attic insulation, because it looks pretty old- when I have had new insulation added 2 years ago). Saela is an unsatisfactory pest removal company. I initially enrolled in a quarterly service agreement, particularly to eradicate black widow spiders on the exterior of my property. However, their service is completely nonfunctional and yields absolutely zero results. Black widows are still present, their technicians are unequipped to reach areas that contain nesting sites for bees, while their mosquito service, in fact, does not get rid of, or even reduce the number of mosquitos present. In addition to that, their sales reps and technicians are unethical as they gouge their customers with misleading information on services, forcing them to go through the layers of customer experience to come to another unsatisfactory conclusion. This is a terrible company all around, and their service does absolutely nothing. I'd rather deal with the mosquito bites and bee stings than do business with them again. read more
