This is a horrible company! They show up at your house at 8:30 at night! Some guy walked through my mothers 6 foot gate that has a sign clearly posted no soliciting and came to her back sliding glass door tonight! She's 84 and she was absolutely petrified! Girl was super personable and exceedingly thorough with her work. Good luck canceling your service though. Girl even warned us when she showed up the first time. She said the company is a little shady and you have to be persistent with them. My wife and I are moving out of the country. We sold our house and no longer possess it. We have no need for pest control anymore so I called to cancel. After the first call, which I was hung up on, I called back and was able to get ahold of someone. Service: Hello this is so-and-so, who do I have the pleasure of talking to, what's your address, etc. Standard stuff to pull up my account. Me: Giving answers to questions. S: What can we help you with today? M: Hello, I'm moving so I'm calling to cancel my pest control services. Service: Oh no, why would you like to cancel M: ??I'm canceling because I'm moving and no longer need this service. S: Well you can take the service with you to the new house. M: I'm leaving the country. I would just like to cancel my service, please. S: Well you can transfer your service to someone else if you would like M: Please just cancel my service. I'm trying to be patient. I just want my account canceled. S: Well you still have two appointments left on your agreement. What would you like to do with those? M: I don't care, I don't have possession of that house anymore. You're more than welcome to contact the new owners and see if they would like to continue service with you. I would like to cancel my services, please. S: So you don't have anyone you can transfer the remaining services to? M: No, I don't. I would like to cancel my services, please. Me: Not very well, I'm incredibly frustrated with the interaction I had with the customer support previously and I'm even more upset that I have to go through two people to cancel my service. New Guy: Oh I understand your frustration blah blah Me (frustrated but trying to remain calm and respectful): I don't own a house anymore, I'm leaving the country, I just want to cancel my service. NG: So you want to cancel your service because you're leaving the country? Why are you leaving the country? *At this point, I'm irate at the whole situation and offended that he would even ask this question. It's none of his business why I'm leaving the country and ultimately, it doesn't matter.* M: Honestly bro it's none of your business and it doesn't matter. I just want to cancel my f***ing service. Please just cancel my account. I don't want to talk anymore, just cancel it. If I see any charges from your company I will flag them as fraudulent. NG: Oh I understand things can be frustrating blah blah blah. He then proceeds to run thru several of the questions that the previous lady asked and finally says: NG: Just so you know you have two remaining services left on your account. If you cancel today you will be charged a 1-time fee of $129 (don't remember the specific amount). Had I not felt so angry at the situation and had my time not been wasted I probably would have just paid the fee and shown mutual respect to the guy. I wasn't though, I felt disrespected and I felt my time had been wasted running around in circles arguing with people about the simple act of canceling my account. Having to justify why I was canceling and why I was leaving the country, neither of which mattered. I'm not proud of how I acted next, but it is here for transparency. M: I'm not paying that. I just want my account canceled. If I see any more charges from you guys I will flag them as fraudulent. Your account/payment department can waste their time arguing back and forth with my credit company. Or you can just cancel my account, forgo the fee, and save everyone's time. The first person to come out was thorough, then Luis came out and reset all the traps and was really informative about the scope of services offered. Several months ago, The Edge representative told us that he was in the "neighborhood " and had leftover spray that he could discount for us. That should have been my first warning to not use this service. The next day, I was then at a friends home and the same guy showed up at her house using the same tactic and listed her neighbors that used their service. The person he mentioned died over a year ago. Regretting signing up with this company despite all of the warning signs! We had a issue with volls, they set traps and when they came back, they never even checked them. The next visit, They were to spray our lawn. My husband thought he was going to be gone; however he was home. They never sprayed the back yard. We called to complain; while they were eager to try to send someone out, we are not interested in continuing due to poor service standards. Then they wanted to charge us for cancelling. UPDATED REVIEW: We have now had EDGE for a year. When we initially signed up, we had a one year agreement. Coming past our 1 year agreement, we went to schedule a service. They told us that since we had been with them for a long time we were eligible for "discounts" and transferred us to a 'Customer Loyalty Specialist'. This specialist told us all these discounts we would be getting meanwhile trying to mask the fact that they were entering us into a TWO year agreement. SO SHADY. I had to specifically ask and clarify that we weren't entering into an agreement and finally got it out of them that we were. Be careful. They are not "loyal" to their customers, they don't give you discounts, they simply want you locked in. There's nothing I hate more than feeling taken advantage of. Our house was infested with spiders... so bad. We signed up for the quarterly service and could not be happier! They always show up exactly as scheduled, we have NO more spiders. One time we found ONE spider in our house after a service and they promptly came and sprayed again no charge. Highly recommend!!!! read more

Absolutely do not use this company. Their service technicians are fine, but their contract sucks. If you want to cancel for any reason, they charge you half of the cost of your remaining service days on the agreement, which could amount to hundreds of dollars. I moved across the country (way out of their service area) and only had two remaining service days left on the agreement and they wanted to charge me almost $200. After a lengthy negotiation they only knocked off $50 for a service that I didn't even want or need anymore. Even Xfinity has a better agreement that that, and that's saying something. read more

Edge is a company which just doesn't care. This company only cares about billing cycles, not their actual customers. Edge Pest Control wants your money, nothing more. The services they provide are questionable at best. We were unsatisfied with the results of their pest treatments (still had bugs in and around our house) after several months, and we had health concerns about the chemical treatments. They could have been spraying water or toxic waste, there is really no way to be sure. Edge claims that the treatments are "non-toxic and safe for humans", but we live in a world where these promises are empty. Baby powder and breakfast cereal have been found to contain known carcinogens, so every consumer must beware. Strangers spraying my property with chemicals? We decided that was a bad idea. Now Edge is charging us several hundred dollars in cancellation fees. These fees are based on an arbitrary calculation of scheduled service appointments. Basically, if you cancel, they charge you for the treatments you didn't want. IT MAKES NO SENSE! BUYER BEWARE! They signed us up for a 2-year contract when we only requested 1 year of service. Classic "bait and switch" technique, and they deny all wrongdoing. The contracts they push on customers have NO protection for you the consumer, only for Edge. They could damage your home or make your kids sick, but the contract totally protects Edge the company, NOT you the customer... AND you will still owe them money. I WISH I had consulted an attorney before ever allowing them to knock on my door. If you're considering hiring Edge, DON'T!!!! Awful. All they want is money. Told them my problem was hornets in my attic. That I wanted someone to go up and check. On the phone no problem. When service person came said "we don't go into attics" They spayed outside. Came and sprayed again outside and never checked attic. I spoke to a customer service rep who agreed they'd do 1 more application and then end service in the spring. Last week they came and sprayed. Next thing I know I'm told I have to have 2 more applications at $120 each or pay an early termination fee. I told them to check their recorded tapes as I have been deceived from the start. I made the mistake of signing up with this instead of Lawn Dr which I use on my Fort Collins rental. Lawn Dr. did what they promised and that lawn looks awesome. Edge was a disaster and I signed up based on a early season special where they promised it would help with the buffalo grass and kill weeds on the edge of the yard in my rock area.. I used them for two times in late spring. The didn't do either and in fact I has a huge section of my lawn died and the buffalo grass came in thinker than ever. Weeds popped up all over the edge as well. I ended up thatching and re-seeding as their chemicals don't work. I also has to treat my own edging. They don't stand behind their promises and are very aggressive to collect then their services don't work. Run the other way. I also experienced issues getting to a manager as often times it went to voice mail with a promise to call back when they never did. I stayed on hold several time over and extended period of time and could get through to a manager. What a racket, they don't do anything and also will not work to fix the issue. read more

Unfortunately, I cannot give Edge a big fat "0" rating. They are the WORST company I have EVER dealt with. After one of their pest sprays we had ants all over the kitchen. They would not come back and re-spray, so we had to use ant traps to get ride of them. Should have read all the terrible YELP reviews before working with this scam business. They charge you a fee of half of your 2 year contract to cancel. What? Who does that? At $150 per quarter, that is outrageous. I asked why I have to pay for not getting service. The manager, Justin, he said will send my account to collections to get my money. Justin was a real jerk to deal with. He was rude and arguing with me telling me I will pay for getting no service or I will be sent to collections. I have no recollection of agreeing to pay for service even if I cancelled and did not receive the service. Justin said it does not matter, you have to pay! They have the nicest sales people so if you never ever plan to end service you may be good. But if you ever plan to end service for some reason stay away. They refuse to even talk to my spouse regarding cancelling even though they accepted payments from her for a couple years. So I call in and tell them I would like to cancel my service. They put me on hold for 27 minutes and run me around on the phone for ten more minutes. I was an Edge customer for over 20 years when I asked them to look at a squirrel probl'em (eating tree bark). They quoted me 7400.00 to remove ALL the insulation from my attic, seal holes in the wall and replace the insulation. There were no squirrels in the attic. A trapper captured two squirrels in my backyard and I've had no further issues. Edge/Saela offered me 20.00 off their next visit, then told me I owed a 257.00 early termination fee when I canceled. Don't be fooled. I was impressed by this businesses website and prompt phone contact. Their products were purportedly safe for dogs, children and the environment. They quoted me the price of a comprehensive annual plan. They left it to the poor man scheduled to perform the first service (that same day) to tell me THE CONTACT ONLY COVERED A GARAGE AND ONE ROOM. Under state law, I had the right to immediately cancel the contract (which of course I did). Edge, however, insists you notify them within 3 days of the start of the contract - and only by mail - so unless the targets of their bait-and-switch gimmick catch it fast, it's easy to get trapped in an awful (and hardly cheap) annual contract. read more

Why now all of sudden can you offer a more competitive price point? The size of my house hasn't changed and neither has my service requirements? Let me start by saying we enjoyed the service, the tech was friendly, and for the most part our spiders are gone. We still have a few popping up and I am still finding them all outside our house and it's only been about 3 weeks since we had a spray. Now into the stuff that pissed me off. I called and my call got disconnected while I was talking to them. They called back, but I ended up busy with my kids. They proceeded to call me multiple times a day for several days until I scheduled a service with them. I don't answer numbers I don't know so I didn't know it was them calling. They are like pushy car salesmen. Even when I finally called in to schedule a service it was like I was constantly being sold a product, it was very annoying. These were all red flags I ignored because I just wanted the spiders gone and I liked that they're green company. We moved into a new house and since it was empty the spiders moved in. The sales person briefly mentioned something about getting services for a year, but he didn't go into detail about it and he quickly moved onto taking my payment. I thought it meant I got a discount if I did services for a year, I didn't realize it was a contract and that I would be charged half of all unused services if I cancelled. They never mentioned a grace period and I never received a contract via email. Tech shows up a few days later and asks us to sign and watch a video. He mentions they signed us up for a 2 year contract, which I know I never agreed to. My husband signed because he didn't know what was going on and the guy goes and sprays. While the tech was here my husband went on Yelp and was reading about the company/services. Since I'm the one who scheduled the service he knew nothing about them and wanted to learn more. As he was reading he saw about peoples complaints and He then called Edge and asked about their contracts and about cancelling. The sales person kept changing the subject and skating around the questions. He found on yelp that there is a 3 day grace period. I called and cancelled that same afternoon, but they make you pay the full price of the service to cancel the contract. Which ended up being $20 more. Still cheaper than paying for a year of service. We were still unpacking so our house was a disaster, but he did the best he could do. He walked around the whole house and sprayed along the baseboards of the house. When I called I told them I had bugs in the YARD i wanted gone too, they said they could handle that. They never sprayed the yard. I believe he only sprayed around the outside of the house and that's it. Spiders are still all over my fence. It was my understanding they would spray everywhere outside, but they didn't. I told them we has wasps in the grass when they asked and they said they would take care of it. They didn't. TLDR; They're like shady car salesmen. Service was decent. Told me they would take care of bugs outside and they haven't and I'm still finding a few spiders inside. I should have paid better attention to them making us sign a contract, but they skated over it very quickly. They signed us up for a 2 year contract which I know I never agreed to. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD but this is going to be long and this is actually for the Colorado Springs Area but I couldn't find a location smh but I started with Edge maybe September Last year. I had seen a few mice in our garage of a new home we had just purchased that July. We found edge through Thumbtack I believe, either way, we called and instead of Peking we chose them because they were a little cheaper and told us all these things that they do that irking doesn't (which was a LIE) so before agreeing I asked the salesman if the service was a contract based service or could I quit at anytime without any fees. The salesman said yes you can stop at anytime with no fees! I had also asked if I would be able to see dead mice laying all over the property & he said "no, actually we use a box that goes in the ground and as the mice eat it/die u will flush them out through your plumbing".... I had NO CLUE how that was possible but he was so confident that I believed him. So they came out and a guy had me sign his tablet saying he was here for the first treatment, 2ND LIE. I was signing a contract which stated I would have to pay 50% of the service if I cancel before 12 months. So I signed away and he walked around and only placed the boxes on top of the ground I told him what the salesman said and he laughed hysterically and said no way. He did nothing but place the boxes down and even asked for scissors after I asked him to fill the holes. After only 1 month of service I decided to Cancel due to the unprofessionalism of the company employees and I would go to orkin. I called and got transferred numerous times after asking to speak to a manager. They didn't want me to cancel then told me a manger was "unavailable" so I left a message for them to call back NO CALL BACK so I call back a week later and insist that I speak with a manger they get me a manager and HE WONT LET ME CANCEL he's telling me he can send somebody out, he'll come out the boss anybody but just don't cancel. After trying to cancel with him without any luck I agree to let a new hey come. He came and was a little better but I was just so done by the company that I still wanted to cancel. I called back and tried after going back and forth they tell me "if you cancel for any reason you are not able to fulfill the obligation associated with this agreement, you will be required to pay up to 50% of the remaining contract value." My account was cancelled with a past due balance of $269.97. On top of this past due balance there was a cancellation fee of $359.96. I said NO WAY for one month of service I'm paying that much to cancel. I told them they can come take the boxes back and keep the first months payment. They said no. I told them when I first called and spoke to someone he told me this was not a contract and that I could cancel anytime. He said well that's not true and you signed a agreement. I said when?? He said when they guy came out for the first service... I REALLY GOT PISSED and said wait he told me I was signing for him to actually start the first service and he told me I should have read it ( of course) so I asked he insisted that he would have to listen to the call and see if the man said that I told him go ahead because I know he did. He tried to call back and say he did so I asked for a copy of the recording and the packet I signed. He kept telling me he sent it NEVER DID, so this went on for a good 4-6 months of them calling to collect monthly payment I told them no and to stop sending your guys here. I kept asking for the proof and never got it. It ended with a 25 min argument with a manager that hung up on me after yelling that he would cancel it but I would have to pay that remaining balance. He also told me If the man told me that then they would cancel out the remaining balance. I TOLD HIM TO LISTEN TO IT! He wouldn't and wouldn't send it to me so he hung up, cancelled it and I got an email to pay that amount and I didn't do they sent it to collections... little did I know, whatever company they use ADD'S ANOTHER 40% to the total so now I owe over $950 for a person that came out ONCE and did NOTHING but put boxes out !!!! This company is a LIAR, DECIEVER, and Clearly just hungry for the money! They don't take pride in their service they are just nice on the phone to get you to buy in. I am also Active Duty Military and will tell all that I meet not to ever go with company for anything, I can't believe this is how they treat those who serve for this country. Just like many of the previous reviews, we regretfully got wrangled into a membership with their unreliable service. When calling to decline future service, we had a very difficult time for having anyone calling us back, just like many of the other reviews. When finally convinced to keep our service, we only saw a service provider 3 times, in the year we have had the service. When calling the manager, to let them know of this, they informed us it was our fault because our property was locked. They would call us 10minutes before their "planned" visits. On one visit, as the service provider sprayed our house, we reminded the gentlemen we only wanted mice service, as he continued to spray stating that's not what our contract states. And again continued to extensively spray the house, to the point where paint on our overhang began to drip, peel and streak. Once again the manager stated this could not be true. Quality control and service has greatly declined. We were previous customers of Edge a few years back and were very pleased. Recently restarted at new home early 2020 and now nothing but slick salesmen and untrained technicians. Salesman indicated during the initial service 'eaves would be swept for webs and garage would be treated'. Neither were done when technician left. I attempted to contact Edge multiple times for a print list of services I should expect at first visit. I tried via online "chat" (turns out is not a live chat, rather a 'we will get back to you') got no response. Emailed Edge directly and received no response. Called customer service and spoke with a lady who assured me she would email me said list - never received. Technician arrives for first scheduled service and I pointedly asked "what services are you going to complete?" His response; "whatever you want me to do.."?? My return questions; "if I weren't here right now, what would you do?" His response; "oh, we will spray, sweep for webs, whatever.". knock on door "service is complete" we walk the perimeter to find eaves not swept, clear indication the sprayed 'barrier' had huge gaps evident by dry concrete (where sprayed areas looked wet). I asked the techs to re-do, and they did. Had I not been home, or not asked, would have gone half done. The real kicker, my wife lost her job and we were moved out of state for work. I contacted Edge advising we were no longer at the address (not even in the state) and requested service termination. Similar to cancelling a timeshare, they want you to transfer remaining services to "a friend or family" to avoid early termination penalties. Not an option, so I paid the balance to end. I feel a better company that cared about their clients would have worked with us in some capacity given the extenuating circumstances. Would not recommend - would not use again. read more

They hard sell you at the start, and if you try to reschedule a service for some reason, like I did today, they will not let you. The 800 # customer service rep could barely speak English and argued with me and told me I could not reschedule my appointment 4 times. Really? This is customer service at it's worse. I then tried the online chat and the chat lady told me she could not reschedule my appointment either and asked me for a reason. I told her is was not her business what the reason was. I have been a customer of Edge Pest Service since the beginning of 2020 and was lured in by the initial sales guy that came to my door promoting the company. He was well versed and knowledgeable about the company and their product and had me convinced that the current pest control company I was using had missed several areas around my house. He had me convinced by merely mentioning how black widows had been spotted all around my neighborhood and offered to show me webs inside of my garage that were still active. I completely fell for it. He convinced me to sign a contract for 9 sessions. Once I signed the contract, the customer service from the Denver office (primarily the individual that is apparently in charge of the Accounts Receivable) has been by FAR the WORST customer service representative have ever experienced. I work with customer service representatives for the government and I know for a fact if any one ever acted and/or treated a customer the way she did, they would be fired on the spot. Completely unprofessional, disrespectful, argumentative, and treats the customer like trash. I asked to speak with her supervisor or an authority figure above her and was told there is no one higher than her. She refused to transfer me to anyone else and was 100% unwilling to work with me, as the customer, to reschedule my service to a better time that would work with my schedule and when it was not snowing outside. She insisted that there was no one that would be able to adjust my service timeframe at all. I immediately called the corporate office once I was off of the phone with her and received a completely different interaction and was able to be rescheduled without an issue. I have read reviews for this company and a lot of them seem pleased and impressed with the service. However, the Denver Edge Pest Service has been less than favorable and if they didn't have such high early termination fees I would have left months ago. These people treat you like a number and make you feel as if you have no control over how and when you can spend your money spraying for pests. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and will continue to tell people about my horrific experience with the Denver Office. Stay away from Edge Pest Service! I called back in June and spoke to someone where they wanted me in a contract and I wasn't interested. The "expert" they refer you to is a pushy salesperson. I ended up not interested/it felt off. Then the manager called me later that day and It got me to the point of firmly telling him no I don't want your business. Anyways they are now calling back in August five times a day! I'm always screen shotting my call log and sending it to my husband that this is unreal. I've gotten two emails from them on top of that in the last two days. Just too much marketing and way too intense. I wish I had never called in the first place. read more

I had been a customer for 3 years and the service was ok. The chemicals that they were using seemed to do the job. I have given them one star because they have left our gates open the last two times they have sprayed. This time I specifically told them that I had a dog. The technician proceeded to talk on his phone while applying and then left the gates open again. This time our dog got out and was almost hit by a car. I called customer service and proceeded to cancel our account with them. They did offer free service moving forward for the next two applications, but the quality of their technicians has gone down and I do not trust them to complete their job if they can't shut a gate. read more

This is the absolute worst service ever. The Sales representative absolutely lied to me about the service. He said that they will call before so I am here. They do call but it's right before he comes so I am never here. Therefore, my garage and basement have never been sprayed. I have cobwebs all over my front and back doors and Edge was supposedly here 6 days ago. I called to cancel but they were going to charge me a $119 fee to cancel. Do yourself a favor... Do NOT use Edge Pest Control! Edge left a number for me to call which I have and left a message and still no return call. I can't believe what a rip off this company is. read more

Do not use Edge. They are not honest and do not follow through with their commitments. I have used them for 3 years, I consistently would call their office and ask them to call me one day in advance of coming so that I could ensure we were home for them to spray inside and outside of our house. They would NEVER call me in advance. They would text/call as they were pulling up to my house - not allowing me any time to get there from work, therefor only spraying the outside of my house (50% of the contract). They then talked me in to spraying for mosquitos - what a racquet. I paid $99 for them to come and spray for mosquitos and the are WORSE! Their reasoning was that because of the rain, well this was three weeks before the rain happened. I have asked them to cancel my service multiple times and they keep coming and charging me. It has been a very poor experience. read more

Edge is a horrible company, the salesman came to my door was very pushy would not take No for an answer ended up talking me into 4 sprays on the exterior of my home of which he said he would even Pay the first one which did not happen and I was charged the fee after 2 more sprays I moved out of the home and cancelled the service but a week later had a charge on my credit card for 330 dollars because they said I signed a 2 year contract but no where in my discussion with the salesman did we agree on a 2 year contract, it was to be once a quarter totaling 4 sprays ! Shady shady shady company I would highly advise using someone private or a mom and pop company they do the best job and no hidden fees or BS read more

Initially, we assumed it was a one-time payment. The sales rep mentioned about the contract, after convincing us to try the product. We were hesitant to get into a two year agreement, aware of the total cost. The contract bound us to get the service every 12 weeks. We said we don't need it that often. May be 3 times a year would be good. The salesrep convinced us that we can arrange the treatment to be done every 4 months. To our surprise, the second treatment was done just 4 weeks after the first. We paid for it. and now, in less than 4 months into the contract, I got a call for the third treatment. I called them to understand why. They flatly refused to acknowledge the salesrep's verbal confirmation, saying it's not in the contract. I told them they will get their money every 12 weeks as per the contract. But they have lost my trust. Caution to everyone, please stay away from Edge. You would be better off getting a good pest control spray from any store, and doing it yourself. Just one Star from me. read more

Horrible!!!!! They never call before they show up, try to lock you into a contract. Inexperienced kids spraying the outside of your house for 10 mins and they charge you $150. Stay away from these guys at all cost!!!!! read more

Terrible! I used Edge for almost 3 years. I'm not satisfied. There are spiders all over my basement, webs around the perimeter and wasps building nests in 4 different places. I called and they won't let me out of the "contract" that I supposedly verbally agreed to. Frustrating! Don't sign up...they'll keep renewing your contract without you even knowing. read more

We have had such great customer service with Edge. From the moment I made our first appointment, their staff has been nothing but helpful and accommodating. Our service provider, Joe, was incredibly knowledgeable and super nice. On top of that great service I found their pricing to be very reasonable. We will be using Edge for a long time. read more
