Overall our experience was good, but I don't think I would use them again. A little background: It was a super hot day, and I felt bad for the movers. They didn't seem to have water or proper PPE for the weather. The positive: Movers were on time and ready to work! Items were moved carefully, but they probably could have used a third worker based on the items we had. I feel I was transparent with how much items we had including heavy items. The negative: Two movers were not enough based on the items we had including heavy items. The move took much longer than expected. Movers seemed really irritated the whole time, which I can't tell if it was from the heat or we did something wrong. Movers also left garbage behind and we had to clean up after. Usually the moving company will follow up after to see how things went, but we never heard from Nancy. Nancy also said she would come to check in during the move, but never did. We paid, and it was done. I think overall, it was a fine experience, but not to the level of other moving companies I've worked with before. Based on the more recent reviews, it looks like some improvements have been made which is great!

When a week before our move we needed to change a date by two weeks because of construction delays, that was not a problem. When at the last minute we asked if we can add a piano to the list of moved items, that was fine as well. But most importantly was the care the guys took with our items! They wrapped every piece in the soft blanket and added plastic wrapping outside to keep in place. They stacked items in the way that nothing would get damaged. On delivery, they were on time and moved everything to designated rooms and assembled everything we needed! No scratches or damages in the house when moved out or moved in! I had Carlos and his team assemble our European style kitchen cabinets. They were made of finished…read morewood and lacquer cabinets. We sent our kitchen assembly instructions ahead of time to make sure they were aware. My overall sense is that Carlos is fairly capable and experienced but either his team or him are not as careful as we had damages to our finished wood toe kicks and our lacquer cabinets looked like they had been dragged over nails as they were being assembled. I didn't appreciate that they made 0 mention of it at all and I had to point it out. As the homeowner, I essentially had to baby sit them for 5 days through the install since it felt like they were incapable / unwilling to read the kitchen cabinet installation instructions in detail and I caught several mistakes early on during the cabinet assembly that made me hesitant to leave it unattended. Carlos's attitude was particularly bad through the entire experience as well. Always made it seem like we were inconveniencing him or being too nit picky even if we caught some mistakes. At one point, he even threatened to quit after the assembly but before the installation simply because he had underestimated the complexity of the project. We did have a 1 day delay due to some plumbing / electrical issues but that's pretty typical as far as kitchen cabinet installations go AFAIK. In the end, they were able to get all the kitchen cabinets installed, albeit with a lot of effort from my end due to the more custom nature of the project. The price was affordable and the work was solid (minus the scratches) but for me the bad attitude wasn't worth it.

I am a single woman that is moving entirely by myself.. I'm very picky when it comes to any service. However this company exceeded every single expectation I could have had! I really could not believe that they were able to provide help at such short notice! Not only were they speedy, but they were so professional! That's saying a lot for me- They helped me with everything going above and beyond! They were so careful and considerate while dealing with my fragile/ glass items that I almost felt as if I was handling everything myself but times 10+ hands that I definitely needed! I could not express how speedy yet careful all the staff were while handling my personal items. I was definitely in over my head thinking I could do everything myself before calling! I need to thank Safe Haul Moving for the professional service provided for a 6 bedroom house move. From the moment my phone call wad answered to the moment they said goodbye, was truly an excellent experience! They were on time, polite, energetic and showed a genuine interest for the care of my property. Not only did they arrive on time but came with the correct equipment and all the packing materials and supplies that were needed. AJ was on hand to supervise the entire operation from the truck arrival to the secure packing, loading, unloading, unpacking and placement of furniture in my house and storage unit. As an added bonus they also hung up several large paintings for me which I did not expect. They made sure to keep hallways clean& clear as possible. They also took away boxes and packing material that i would have had to dispose of myself. It was a lengthy process that took a couple of days. I had anticipated a very frustrating and dreadful experience just due to logistics and sheer number of items but i cannot believe how well it went! This is the worst moving company in the Bay Area! They lied to us about the cost. They destroyed my dishes and most of my mothers china. My furniture was broken and scratched up beyond repair. The guy on the phone said it would take 5 hours to complete my move, we'll it took 11 hours to do it and they charged me 3x as much as quoted plus a 7% surcharge to process my payment at the end? That's criminal all in itself. They didn't speak any English and when I asked them to be extra Careful with my painting's they ignored me completely. They had me sign a tablet when I got there acknowledging their start time but what you don't see is the way they start to over bill you once the initial time is up. I have no problem paying these guys for there time but at 3x the normal rate?? Plus travel time x2 ?? Who does that? Theses guy do that's who!! The person we spoke with claimed to just be a manager but in fact is the owner. It's not a woman owned business, it's own by a man from Afghanistan we looked it up state registry and recommend that you do too. Where he's from means nothing but lying to us to gain our business means everything. These people are scam artists! read more

I can't recommend Safe Haul enough! I called them to get a quote for my recent move and the man I spoke with was so helpful and thorough going over everything making sure he understood exactly what all I needed. I called them about a week (!!) before my move and was so stressed out anxious but he really calmed my nerves and assured me that they would be able to take care of everything for me. Their pricing was very reasonable, and I loved getting follow up texts leading up to the move to again reassure me everything would be taken care of. Moving day was a breeze! The movers called me to keep me updated on timing, they wrapped and protected my furniture to ensure no damage would be done. I met them again at the new house and they were again so polite and SO fast unloading everything from the truck and bringing it into the house, without compromising any of my belongings. We were concerned because we were moving our families antiques and AJ handled the packing, moving and placement of our stuff with such care. They took care of everything and made it look simple. I don't write reviews anymore, but want to spread awareness about my experience. My recent move was plagued by communication issues, as only three workers showed up instead of the agreed-upon four (without any prior notice). This led to a drastic increase in the final cost, doubling the initial estimate. Additionally, the movers damaged my belongings, and despite assurances from the manager, I have still not received any compensation or follow-up. Also, to point out, the manager stated that it's the workers' fault, and the cost will be deducted from their paycheck. This lack of respect for and valuation of their own workers is concerning. Naweed and his team went above and beyond my expectations. I had hired different movers and they flaked on me, so I called Safe Haul. They were amazing! I was offered an incredible estimate, they were able to move all of my stuff to storage and my new place with only 3 days notice. With such short notice Naweed said his other trucks were being used and he wanted to make sure I got moved so he rented a u-haul. They were all very polite and respectful. Basically they loaded our stuff in a truck then unloaded everything. Simple job, not to exciting. Their price was good. We got 1 other quote that was close but liked Mark and his concern for our project. It's hard to rate this service because you don't move everyday but everything was good and there were no problems of any kind.

I have not been active on Yelp and forgot to write a review. They were on time and between loading, driving and unloading in my new apartment it took less than 3 hours. Their prices were very reasonable. . I requested service via the web. A nice person in the office had me send pictures of my space and they gave me a quote which turned out to be very accurate. I hope their business is thriving because I would sure like to use them again for my next Bay Area move. Thank you Anderson Bros!!!

Instead of honoring our reservation by providing another truck, they refused, claiming they "didn't trust my husband to bring it back." We were shocked by how we were treated!!! When we became understandably frustrated after they failed to provide the truck we had reserved, they called the police instead of trying to resolve the situation. The responding officers were professional and told us they had received numerous complaints about this location before, but explained there was nothing they could do because it's a private business. The entire experience felt extremely dishonest and misleading. We lost valuable time, our moving plans were disrupted, and we were treated with complete disrespect. We are opening a case regarding what happened and we believe this place is fraudulent!!! Please do yourself a favor and avoid this location. Based on our experience, I would not trust this business with another reservation!

If I could give negative stars I would…read more I contacted this U-Haul location today because our refrigerator broke unexpectedly and I needed quick, basic guidance on which vehicle in their fleet would be suitable to move it. The employee who answered the phone demonstrated zero knowledge of the services or vehicles this business provides. Even more concerning, he abruptly hung up on me mid-conversation. When I attempted to call back to clarify or resolve the issue, my calls were repeatedly answered and immediately disconnected. This was not a dropped call--it was intentional. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially for a business that people rely on during stressful, time-sensitive situations like unexpected appliance failures or moves. If you work for a company, you should at minimum understand what it offers and how to treat customers with basic respect. Hanging up on customers is not a mistake--it's a choice. Management should be aware that this location reflects poorly on the U-Haul brand. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service here is astounding. I will not be returning, and I strongly caution others to think twice before relying on this location for anything time-sensitive or important.

Very reasonably priced and original estimate is what we paid. On move day, crew of three arrived on time and got right to work. Packed our items carefully in the truck, then unloaded everything just as carefully in our new home. Not a scratch added to any of our furniture and were very patient as we debated on placement a few times. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
