Avoid buying anything from them. They lied about who they were, upped the price of my system after they had installed most of it, and the components fail constantly. Bonus: they will charge you $65 for a technician to come fix the garbage they sold you. When you decide to cancel (and you will) they will charge you 80% of the remainder of the contract. So they are totally making a fool of new customers, specially in new community. I took system from that because they are partnered with DR HORTON houses. The sales person was very active to book the initial consultation and when consultant arrives he tries to sell the whole new system to me worth $2000 (no thanks) finally we agreed to get something in the name of advanced sensors for $200, this is on top of $500 credit what i got after purchasing this house. Lesson learned, don't buy anything extra from them because its not worth the price. Now they signed the contract with me with lot of ambiguity and never cleared the terms i.e. 36 months and if i have any problem in sensor they charge $60 per visit to come and fix the sensor which they sold to me on contract for 3 years. They are eying people who are new home owners and busy in life to read every fine details of contract the tech person was basically sales man who make haste to sign you the contract. Now after 5 months of usage there sensors started malfunctioning and they are asking me to pay $60 for a technician to come and visit, i mean what the hell is going on here. How this company is allowed to misuse their customers to this extent. Thats it the main reason they dont have any repeated customers and mostly they go for new customer for their questionably practices. Safe Haven is a scam! We bought a new home with a VA loan and somehow ended up on Safe Havens call list. My sales guys was a vet and he made this company sound great! I have also had ADT before but just not through a 3rd party so of course I was on board. The day of installation was like visiting a car dealership. I was irritated because we were in the middle of moving into our new home and I wasn't using time off from work so we were on deadlines. We ended up getting 2 outdoor cameras, a doorbell, door sensors, window sensors, and a smoke alarm detector. This stuff only works NOT EVEN HALF the time. I call for a tech and they want to charge like $150 to have someone come out on a system that we are already paying on that doesn't work. They say that this system will work if the power goes out... NOPE. I have fixed this system by myself for the last year now. The day this contract is up, is the day I am getting rid of it. This company should be blacklisted! I would rather take my chances on having someone break in the rely on this company. The clips of videos are even worse! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They don't care about the customers, they just care about the money they are putting into their own pockets. read more

I wish there was an option of 0 or 0.5 star. THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. The guy who sold this to me went above and beyond to take the monthly security service and I bought it. He never mentioned anything about the cancellation policy and after 3 months when I wanted to cancel it, the Safe Haven folks told me to pay 75% of the remaining balance which is 33 months!!!!! Of course, I signed the 18 pages contract and it's part of it, so legally I am responsible for it. But the way this was set up, it was a clear trap. THIS IS LITERALLY LOOTING. Honestly I just really like watching the raccoons on my cameras. System works great. Love the equipment vs what we were looking at in costco. The technician smelt like cigarettes. That was my only complaint since I have asthma. read more

The very worst company. They don't install good equipment and refuse to cancel without a termination charges. I will need to go to a lawyer to get this resolved. Firs off I want to say is I do love their system. I work in the electric industry, so I know a great deal of these products. I wasn't totally sold on their expensive package because there was too much going on. I will say their contract is funky, and they charge extra from their service charge. It was really confusing I was getting charged an extra $300 that I had no clue was going on top of the service charge. I have 2 things I would like you to change with your business dynamic. 1. If you have multiple customer service issues about the first payment please change your system. It looks really fishy getting charged extra at the beginning. I no longer trust you...listen to your customers please. 2. Have your "acknowledgment" your customers sign with the total payment on it. I saw the large charge multiple times and I was comfortable with that. You then had 2 other charges that I saw once and was not totaled at the end, so me as a customer thought it was rolled in. Bought a new home and builder indicated we will be getting a free security system with the house. We were like great. Scheduled an appointment to install the security system and when the tech arrived, it turns out all we get is a wall controller and a smart outlet for a light. Received high pressure to pay for door, window, and motion sensors and a monthly monitoring program. Turns out the system only connects to the smart outlet and the front door lock even though the builder installed a Ring doorbell and a Wi-Fi garage door opener. So much for a whole house control system. Glad we didn't buy anything else. Then a couple of week later we get an email confirming we had changed our email address for Alarm.com. Called and was told it was a software glitch. Since when does a software glitch change email address? To top it all off the builder only paid for 3 years after which the wall controller will not work with the app unless you start paying $20/month. Straight up thieves. They lied to me, to my face, in my house about some of the features of their cameras. They also lied about their fire alarm not being triggered by anything other than a legitimate fire and going off to a different kind of smoke than the normal run of the mill detector. Yeah, sorry, when the thing goes off from the fucking shower steam when someone opens the bathroom door, your product is a piece of shit. It also goes off whenever I fry a piece of meat on the stove. Like, come on, fool, am I not supposed to cook? Unfortunately, because these low down SNAKES know they are thieves and nobody in their right mind would continue to pay their outrageous prices once they've discovered what a complete pile of shit their equipment is, they lock you into a three year contract that forces you to pay 80% of the remaining contract. I will probably be cancelling anyway as saving even 20% off their outrageous monthly fee is better than nothing for a complete piece of shit of a system. I should have gone with my first instincts and just gotten a few Ring cameras and called it a day but these fucking snakes have a great pitch. Wish I would have read these reviews before I started dealing with this company. Its crazy how horrible the customer service is. Luckily I canceled before I was locked in. Guy came out to install, tried to swindle me out of thousands of dollars, ended up just upgrading sensors with the $500 voucher scam thing. A day later I was like "Man, I feel scammed" and canceled. They were late to come pick up the gear, but a man name Tristan came. Sounded like a decent dude on the phone, but was rude and condesending to me the whole time, basically trying to guilt trip me into not cancelling and repeating "I dont get anything out of this". I'm not a complainer I never call supervisors or give bad reviews but my experience with this company was just garbage. I called him out and he stopped. Left random window sensors he forgot to pick up and adhesive strips all over my window. NOTE: This review is about Safe Haven Security Services (SHSS) out of Bellevue, not ADT or their security system, which I have no complaints about. You place your life, health, and safety at risk if SHSS out of Bellevue installs your ADT system. You'll also be promised things by their sales rep, Matt Lundstrom, who will then renege on those promises, after assuring you that you could trust him and he didn't need to put his promises in writing. SHSS will then repeatedly fall back on the fine print in their contract that allows their sales reps to promise anything and renege on everything. (They even have a phone recording of Matt Lundstrom promising me there was no sales tax on ADT systems in Washington, but they still refused to credit me for the extra costs.) Matt Lundstrom promised me: 1) A $100 Visa card within 30 days of system activation. I finally received it after 9 weeks and many, many, many calls and emails asking for it. 2) There is no sales tax on ADT security systems in Washington. Stephen Robinson, their installer: 1) Spent the bulk of 2 hours trying to hard-sell me things I didn't want and then rushed around putting sensors up crooked or incorrectly. Those sensors later slipped and fell off, setting off the alarm in the wee hours of the morning, terrifying the companion animals, and barring my ability to rearm the system, leaving me and my house unprotected for 5 days. 2) Hooked the ADT system up to my jetpack's Wi-Fi, despite the fact I told him the system would drain both the jetpack battery and run through my monthly 15GB allotment. So he had to come out again and disconnect the jetpack Wi-Fi, after what I told him came true. 3) Didn't test the system, which I didn't discover until months later when ADT tested the panic button and found it produces an audible signal from the ADT panel, but doesn't send the signal to ADT for police/medical response. I have a heart condition. If I'd had a heart attack, I would have thought help was coming after pressing the panic button. Brittany Shorts, who carries the lofty, empty title of "executive management" and lacks a soul, responded to all my complaints by citing the fine print in their contract that allows their sales reps to promise anything and renege on everything. She even tried to charge me for the service call to program the panic button correctly, after they failed to test it upon installation or in multiple service calls after installation. Although I've experienced nothing but incompetence and lies from SHSS, I do like the ADT system, when it's functioning correctly, and ADT technical support and customer service reps have consistently been responsive and competent and professional. They even transferred the monitoring, servicing, and billing of my account to ADT, after SHSS repeatedly failed to deliver or honor their promises. read more

I'm normally not one to get angry about soliciting, but it goes too far when the ADT salesman is there the day after we close on our new house and happens to catch us during the hour we are there, then proceeds to send something new every couple days in the mail about their service. Cut to earlier today; we get home and see there is a flyer stuffed in the door from Garren at Safe Haven Security, the "local authorized ADT dealer," which is all good and well, until he stopped by a couple hours later, during dinner, to peddle more and ask really pushy questions about our current security system. I'm sorry, but why do you need to know specs on our current system and whether it is monitored unless you're casing the place? Yes, I get that you're selling a similar product, but it is incredibly intrusive and not appreciated, especially after being told no. Also, thanks for getting the dogs riled up for nothing. Two stars simply because I've never heard anything bad about ADT and I'm not trying to pull the ratings down all the way. Just, seriously, find a better way to sell your service, hard-selling security systems seems very sketchy. read more

worst experience ever! while my wife and i were working on our new home a representative named amar ward came up to the house and sold us on a security alarm. he works for an authorized dealer for adt but presented himself in adt attire and promised us we were getting the best deal out there. first issue: they told my wife and i that we will not see a bill for 3 months. a few days later our bank account reflected a withdrawal for a couple of hundred dollars. we called and said wtf and the representative literally argued with us and when i stated we would like to cancel the account she then stated " well you're under contract and you need to pay us 2k" so i then contacted amar ward and he told me that she was incorrect and they will make it righ and even send me a gift card for my troubles (still haven't seen it 6months later) he did send me the money they fraudulently took from me via apple pay. (his boss reimbursed him). 2nd issue: our home is still in the remodeling phase and our front door was replaced and the door contact sensor got damaged. i played phone tag with safe haven security for a while so i decided to try amar once again..i reached out on tuesday and he stated he would call me once rhe work was scheduled..here we are on thursday and still have not heard from him. i finally was able to get ahold of safe haven and then quickly found out they wanted to charge me a $25 trip fee, the fee was actually $27 and i asked the rep to please let the technician know ill be home at 5pm sharp! she then stated she would have them call me 30min prior to arrival and the tech will be a guy named tyler (never happened) a female showed up at 5:30pm (not tyler) and rhen informed me that i needed to pay $129 for a sensor!!!! wtf... i got livid so she called her boss paul and he pretty much told me they had to collect the money and i need to unders from a business standpoint that the equipment isn't free. i got more livid and told him im not paying a dime because should've been explained to me that a fee for the sensor will be due upon arrival but the rep never informed me of this fee and that is entrapment at it's finest. i then instructed the technician i have another window with a sensor on it that we can use for the door. end of story but to say the least i wish i was more blunt when amar came to my house because when you try to be a good person and not blow someone off that is making sells to make a living, you will eventually get the short end of the stick because all they care about is meeting their quota and making sells. it is a shit shame that people cant be real and upfront. lesson learned and we cannot wait for the day our service is up with these scumbags read more
