I have had a few vehicles tinted here because they are close. This time around the tint got damaged at the bottom. I called to have it fixed and I was told they would call me back because the tint guy was not in. I had to call back after a few days as I did not receive a call. I was told that he had no information to call me back. He said they had been busy. Maybe because it was a replacement or fix and not a money job. I requested service for a 2008 Ford Fusion and granted the car was seldomly cleaned and cared for on the inside, but was not a total disaster. I got quoted for approximately $179 for interior detailing when I dropped the car off at 8am the day of the appointment About 20 minutes later I get a call from the manager telling me that the car is so dirty that they'll have to quote me $200+ instead. I said okay. They told me the car would be ready by noon. I went to pick it up at around 3pm. I never got a call back to tell me the car was ready. I inspected the car and I could still see there were a couple of visible stains on the front seats and I was hoping they would be able to clean them off. There are also still visible specs of lint and other materials that a vacuum could easily pick up. They told me they tried everything.and due to the age of the car that's all they could do. When I went home, I was able to clean those stains off the seats with mild cleaning product and a mildly abrasive sponge. This is something that could've been done and expected to be done during the detailing. Although the cleaning was a marked improvement from the way the car interior looked, I think a little more elbow grease and a few extra minute could have been used. Mildly disappointed for the price/value I paid, and the quality I expected. read more

If you think the 3rd time is a charm, this is your place. It took 3 trips there and a threat to call Ziebart Corporate, to get them to do their job. When I picked up my car the hood wasn't sprayed. They said it was aluminum, it wasn't. They didn't spray under the stone pads on the undercarriage, so trip 2 was made. A couple days later, out of curiosity, I checked the door panels. None of the doors or rocker panels were sprayed. Then I found out the the rear quarter panels were not done either. They always offer a sale, it must be because they do a discounted job too. I'll drive the 40 miles to another Ziebart next time. read more

I bought my black truck with a botched waxing job. I wasn't sure how bad it was or if it could be fixed. I got a quote from Ziebart's detailing in Ypsilanti and they said it was an easy fix at a reasonable price. I scheduled a standard detail job and was able to book an appointment the same week. My truck was completed in a few hours and the work was phenomenal; all the buff wheel marks were gone along with all the scratches. I called this past fall to inquire about rustproofing my car, and the first thing the gentleman asked was "You're from California, aren't you? I always get calls from Californians around this time." So what if the idea of salt rusting out my precious car scares the heck out of me?! Anyway, the service was great, they were very accommodating in terms of scheduling and letting Andrew pick up the car while I was at work. I got the rust proofing done, which was in the mid $400 range, and a full detail, which was near the $200 end. Expensive for me, but my car was like new shiny, inside and out. Took my car in for undercoat and window tint. That came out nice and that was the end of it. I checked the undercoat and under the hood wasn't done, they had to redo it. A week later while changing my oil I noticed the area under the stone pads wasn't sprayed. I took it back in. A couple of weeks later I thought I should check the rest of the vehicle so I pulled the plugs and my doors and the rest of the body was never sprayed. The 3rd trip back, I stayed with the vehicle and the owner, and made them redo the entire car. What a headache. read more

I had an interior & exterior car detail Groupon. Scheduling was easy. The detailing was done on October 11th. It's now November 30th and my car interior is still shiny & clean. Not bad for 6 weeks! This is the first time I've ever had my car detailed and it was quite an improvement! When I picked it up, one of the detailers came out to my car with me to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. I called Yesterday for Tinting removal and they schedueled me easily today at 11 They were fast and professional and one of the Staff gave me advise about car polish and paint protection. I asked for 2 windows but he then said only 1 of them needs tinting removal and charged me half price. Overall small place but nice affordable service. read more

I had my new truck rust proofed with a guarantee not to rust through. I took it back every year for over 10 years for the $50 annual treatment. I missed one year of the treatment due to the engine being out of the truck. It rusted completely through on the rear quarter panels. They voided the guarantee as a result. I have been using Ziebart since they were on Hoover St. in the 60's. Never again will I recommend or use any of their services. I would give them a zero if possible because that's what they gave me in cooperation. read more

I went to Michigan on vacation to visit family. I had a couple of days that I didn't need my car. (2006 Avalon) The car looked good when I took it in, but it looked amazing when I went to pick it up. I had heard about ceramic coating and wanted to have it done on the car. I met Marc and Larry when I arrived and both were extremely courteous and friendly. I couldn't believe the difference in the car. The paint was so slick it looked wet, and still looks that way. Here in Florida companies advertise ceramic coating, but believe me it is not like the coating at Ziebart. The last time I was in Michigan (Detroit area) I had the windows tinted on this same car. Amazing the kind of workmanship on both accounts. I would recommend, if you need any of the services provided by this company, that you have it done at Ziebart at this location. Very, very expensive for what you get - and I would not call it "detailed". I've had detailing around the Detroit area, but never since I'd moved to Ypsi last fall. I took my car into Ziebart in April and had to take it back twice. The wheels still had black streaks with winter road soot and parts of the car had never been touched (like the strip under the passenger door). Detailed was not what I got - and for $279-, I was the idiot who paid the bill. They were cordial when I went in - trying to upsell me every service possible, which is (I guess) their job - but when I took it back the next day to have them complete the detail, they were pretty nasty. I would never consider taking my other car to them. I've got better folks to give my money to. read more

They were so rude!!!! I could not make an appointment for the longest time, and when I did, things did not improve. The deal was for interior and exterior cleaning, however the interior was barely touched. The dash was not even wiped down, the carpets were not vacuumed, the cup holders were not cleaned, AND they broke a flower ornament I had in the car becuase they 'couldn't move it' (yet when I picked-up the car, the ornament was moved and broked; they refuse to reinburse me for it). I talked to the owner about the poor job, and his response was to contact groupon for a refund... actually. What a JERK! read more

"WORST DETAILING JOB EVER!" Unfortunately I went against my better judgement and ignored the reviews on this place, and I took my vehicle here to get detailed anyways. The main reason was because I had a Groupon, which was half off the normal price. I just didn't know that "Half Off" also meant a "Half Ass" job to these people. I understand that the carpet wasn't gonna come completely cleaned, but they missed so many spots along the dash, the doors, the sides of the seat, the visors (basically everywhere). They did clean the leather seats pretty good, but the idiots apparently used the same rag to clean the front windows afterwards, which left a glaze of residue all over the windows (I wanted detailing, not window tinting). They didn't even bother cleaning the rear windows, though I'm sure if they did I would have the same problem. If you're looking to have a professional detailing job done, I would advise you to avoid this place like the plague (even if it is half off). I truly could've did a much better job myself by spending $10 for supplies, and 1/2 hour of my time. read more

I bought a new car and had my car cleaned by Ziebart because it was very dirty. I paid well over $100 for the interior and exterior detailing work to be completed. I pulled out all of my all weather mats and have found a lot of food and kids toys under the seats. There was still visible dirt on the interior walls of my car as well as I had expressed to them there was some exterior spots I had pointed out which needed to be buffed out. There was still so much surface dirt and stains that were easily able to be removed when I took a good look in my car. The exterior spots were still there when I got my car back. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because there was a lot of dog hair in the car that is hard to get out but most of this was aside from that. I feel as though my money went to waste for paying over $100 to get my new car nice and looking fresh for me. read more

Fantastic my suv was a disaster and was the result of two kids throwing food and all kinds of items all over the truck. Petrified fruit, gummy bears....need I say more? They even wanted me to inspect the car while still on the hoist to make sure the job was done right. Went a few days ago to have undercoating and rustproofing done on my 1999 Honda Civic that I spent quite a bit of money to have all the bad rust cut out and repaired. I figured it prudent to have it protected and since Ziebart is the only place around me that performs undercoating and rustproofing I figured I'd give it a shot. I read the Yelp reviews and was concerned but went anyway. The whole month of November 2015 they had $100 off their normal rustproofing/undercoating package, making it $400. I dropped the car off first thing in the morning and picked it up the same day at around 4. When I got home I inspected the job and was pretty satisfied. Upon closer inspection I noticed that in the rear they had missed a substantial part of the frame rail and sway bars. Not only that, they forgot to put a plug in one of the holes they drilled in the rear door jamb and also forgot to replace the rubber bumpers they removed from my hood where they spray inside (they were just sitting on top of the radiators, surprisingly didn't fall out when I drove 30 miles home!) The next day I took it back and explained everything and the technician there was helpful and apologetic and actually had me come into the bay where they perform the coatings and showed me the car on the lift and let me inspect it, which I thought was pretty cool. I didn't ask for any money off my bill for having to bring it back, just that it be fixed and the job that I paid $400 for done properly. Overall, not a bad deal, however if I ever get a new car I'll take it somewhere else since there seemed to be some careless overspray on the paint, pretty minor, but if it weren't a used car with over 200,000 miles on it I would probably be upset. If you have a used car and live anywhere that uses road salt during the winter I HIGHLY recommend getting rustproofing and undercoating done. If you see what the salt and water does to cars I think 10 years down the road the 400 will be well worth it. read more

Had a groupon coupon for $200 of work inside and out (for about $123.00). Not perfect, but close (for some reason, the trunk wasn't completely vacuumed, and the windshield wasn't as good as it should have been). The car though really looks great! I would definitely do it again...and despite other reviews about rudeness, the staff were all helpful, even letting me change the appt 3 times without grousing! while there, I heard several other clients who were very happy with the work done. read more
