While it takes 4 hours to repair a Tesla windshield. The car was scheduled and went in at 8am. The car was finished at 4:30PM. Not one phone call. I had to call and stay on hold in the general Safelite Que as you cannot call the store directly. The was like "tough" no apology nothing. Had a windshield replaced on 2019 4 Runner. The windshield had a whistle sound and had to return for warranty molding was a little off (it happens). I scheduled the warranty appointment the lady at the front desk started with the blame it on roof racks etc (there are none). Once past the stupid questions arrived for the appointment and got to the people in the shop doing the work no problem they removed the windshield and looked after the issue. I am sure it will be good now wish I did not have the issue but it was looked after properly and knowing what it takes to replace windshields it happens. Will repeat as the technicians were informational and good attitude. Front desk phone person may want to work on how your delivery of initial question is asked but the team was solid in the shop. read more

Richard came to our home to replace the back shield window. He was right on time and was conscientious about the job he was doing. Advised how to maintain for the immediate future. He was polite and did an awesome job. Work was done April 5, 2022. Butler Safelite is an awesome place to have window repairs completed. They replaced the windshield just a few months ago. We had to take our vehicle to the repair center to complete that job because of all the hookups such as the camera. read more

I already have messaged Safelite about this. A week later they called me and apologized for the ridiculously long wait and told me they would let the store manager know and they would call me that they.. They still HAVE NOT. I picked the 7:30am spot. MY car was not even worked on until 10. I sat in there for 2.5 hours with my mothers tiny dog that wouldn't stop whining. I orginally left to get breakfast and arrived about 9 to pick up the car. They said something would come up and the car would be done around9:45. Okay 15 minutes behind is okay.. 10 AM hits and I stand near the check in desk because I am getting antsy. I have to stop at my work. Take my mother to the airport. I start calling people because my mom at this rate might miss her flight. No one is coming to the desk to help me. I think when it hit 10:15 I had to go outside because I was so upset and starting to panic. They had someone they get there car finished before mine. Mine was not even a priority. Everyone knows about how terrible of a time I had with them. I would like to say they took care of the problem but they haven't! I had a great experience when they came to my house. However, after this I dont think I want to recommend them to anyone. read more

Clean location, nice people, unfortunately corporate doesn't stand behind their work. Had an OEM windshield installed lasted 3 days before it was chipped. Nothing they could do to help with the windshield. Everything else is under warrantee. No stickers even placed on the windshield. Not enough time to do it. Won't get my business again. read more

My car got a small chip on highway. Contacted my insurance's website that indicates no charge to me if using their contractor. Got directed to Safelite appointment schedule, set a time for next day. Safelite emailed pic of technician who'd be here. He called and showed up within the window hours. Got it fix, left a receipt but indicated no payment due from me since it's through my insurance. So far so good. No complaints! read more

The Safelite lifetime warranty is a complete scam. It's only in effect if nothing goes wrong. The windshield their Butler PA put in my car cracked overnight while the car was in the garage. When I took it in for warranty repair, they claimed to find a stone chip UNDER THE WINDSHIELD WIPER. There was nothing visible. They just wanted an excuse to not have to stand behind their product. Find a more reputable company if you need glass repair. read more

Not happy being scammed by Butler Safelight. Installed new front window. Broke my rearview mirror cover and antenna. Also, never put the top window molding back in. Went to have them fix what the mess they created. They refused and told me to go somewhere else. Now I am left with the repair out of my pocket. Read the other reviews . One star because no star is not an option. I had a windshield replaced by them about 6 years ago and they put a small dent on the driver side hood crease. Unfortunately didn't notice it right away until the sun hit it. I pointed it out to them a couple of days later. They did pay to have it repaired. Same vehicle I just took in last week. Did so because my insurance company said that they wouldn't back the shop I would've preferred to take it to. Long story short they did it again! This time they are not going to take care of the damage. they said that I had looked at it after service and all bets were off. Unfortunately its been rainy and dark most of the time I had driven in it. Then three days later the sun unfolded the story once again!!! Do yourself a favor and take it elsewhere, even if your insurer says different. read more

Safelite replace my Lexus RX 350 windshield Everything went perfect and windshield looks great. The last thing the technician said to me before leaving was "leave this tape on here at least 8 hours." That was all the instructions he gave me. Since he said at least eight hours wanting to be safer than sorry I left it on until the next day. The next day I proceeded to remove the tape but I had an extremely difficult time removing and only able to get bits and pieces of the tape off of my car paint and new windshield. Now I'm left with horrible ugly remnants of tape stuck to the top of my car and windshield. I bought some Goof Off safe for car adhesive remover. I followed the directions on the bottle and nothing not even a little bit of it came off. I've had a lot of people suggest using WD-40 alcohol gasoline Etc but no way am I going to put those products on my Lexus risking the clear coat/paint. So I called a couple places and they quoted me $300 to remove it. What are you serious? So now I am left with 2 long skinny strips of partially removed tape that collect pollen and dirt debris immediately after washing. Since my Lexus is black it sticks out like a sore thumb. Why do they need tape to hold the windshield in place? I don't see tape holding that heavy glass very well so what's the point? Before allowing Safelite to apply tape to your car paint I would think twice about doing that. I will be calling Safelite tomorrow but I'm sure they will have no resolve for my dilemma. Had to wait 3 wks. to get service. We were locked in because we had Allstate. First time they brought wrong windshield. Another time they rescheduled but instead of arriving within the scheduled time window, came after when I was available. I rescheduled with the technician for later in the day. They brought the correct windshield this time. Sent a 20 something technician. He would not replace my inspection sticker and said I needed to go to an inspection station and pay to get a replacement. Put duct tape on the back of my old stickers so they are unusable. I've had many windshields replaced and never had the technicians not transfer the inspection sticker - Auto glass places would always transfer. We insisted that the technician stay until we checked out the job. We found that he did not reconnect the wipers correctly so the wipers would not function. Had he left and we tried to use the wipers the next time it rained, we would have been stuck. So we insisted he fix the wipers. He did. Then he added that we would have to take the vehicle back to the dealer to have our lane assist camera recalibrated. We did and they issued a new inspection sticker because the Safelite technician taped over part of the old one. This experience with Butler Safelite turned into over a month long ordeal. Recap: 1. Excessive wait 2. Did not meet time commitments for service 3. Incompetent technician 4. Did not save me the need to get another inspection sticker 5. Did not explain the process 6. Did not meet same standards of local auto glass competitors. read more

Probably will not get any future business from me. Scheduled appt. at my home during extremely cold weather so they could use my garage. Tech shows up and starts taking my rear view mirror off and decides she has wrong windshield because of mounting bracket. Schedule another home appt. a week later and job gets done after another tech tells me first tech had correct windshield after all. 2 days later I go to use my windshield washer and no fluid is coming from the nozzles. Reservoir is full. Hose obviously did not get reconnected under the cowling somewhere. Still need to fix. Doing it myself. read more

Scheduling an appointment is easy when visiting the Safelite website. Always convenient times available. The service is quick and well done. The glass quality is amazing. I also highly recommend getting the replacement wiper blades for the windshield. Best Ive found so far when needing new blades. read more

They said they could not repair a chip in the rain but then came and did it anyways. This repair lasted less than 2 months. The windshield cracked and now I am out $250 for my deductible. They do not stand behind their repairs. read more

I don't typically leave reviews but I had a horrible experience with Safelite. I originally had a VERY small crack on my windshield from a rock and Safelite came and fixed it two days later. This was my first time handling something like this so I didn't know what the finished repair would look like. First off, they cracked my windshield much further (which they warned would happen bc of pressure), but it didn't look like it was filled properly and I could feel a bump on the crack after the repair. They also left little pieces of glass all over my windshield and inside my car. 4 days later, the "repaired" crack grew 8 more inches!!! Past the point of repairable!!! Now I have to get my entire windshield replaced because of their lack of expertise. They also did not work with me or give me any type of discount on the replacement service. I found another company (Auto Glass Fitters) that replaced my windshield for $100 less than Safelite! Much better service and expertise. My family all used Safelite and I NEVER plan on using them again. I do not recommend getting a repair through Safelite unless you want to pay for a new windshield bc of their mistake. 0/10. read more

To be determined; there is apparently a difference in how you are charged based on how claims are submitted. Why they would not do what is best for the customer primarily I cannot say, but I'll see how their replacement services are. I would not recommend for repairs. read more
