When you're looking for any type of school, you want to make sure the instructors treat your kids…read moreas if they were their own. Today, multiple staff did that for my daughter. We've been going to this school since they were in Fullerton, and they've always been great. My daughter started with Mr Nori and he's one of her favorite instructors. She's gone through a few instructors and we've never had a bad experience. My son now attends the school too. This morning, my daughter had a make up class and had to go into a different swim lane with a new teacher. She's been apprehensive about leaving her current school and starting kinder next year, and the emotions came out today. She started crying and holding onto me when she saw the new lane and instructor and said she doesn't want new things. Within seconds, Mr Scott came over and began comforting her asking if she'd like to see her other instructor Mayumi. Mayumi wasn't even dressed to go in the water, but rolled up her jeans and sat in another lane with her. Mr Nori came by to say hi and comfort her, and Mr Christopher gave her a private lesson for a few minutes while she adjusted. He eventually asked her if she wanted to join him in the new lane with the new instructor, and she said yes and was happy the rest of the time. Mayumi also came back to check on her. This is the level of care any parent looks for in a school and I highly recommend coming here.

Our kids were excited to see the new facility and enjoyed everything it had to offer during their first visit. The motion activated splash pad was a hit with our 7 yr old while he waited for his class to start. The swim suit dryers and plentiful changing stalls are very convenient. The viewing room is also a very nice added touch to the facility. All the instructors have been great over the years at Fullerton and we were told we'll see some at the Placentia location as well. They are located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking.

It was also very busy / crowded and a bit overstimulating, even as her parents. The first class, her instructor was Gaby and it was with 3 families total. My husband mentioned that coach gaby spoke really fast and it was also hard to hear due to how many people were in the pool. By her second lesson, my daughter has improved so much , she no longer cries and is getting more comfortable! I'm excited to see her growth with aqua tots , and the coaches. Thìs session was with coach Cely and she was amazing. I really like that it was a smaller group thìs time. It was 2 families total thìs time. We were here on Father's Day and there was a treat table to celebrate fathers and Father's Day coloring themed pages. I highly recommend aqua tots! They're very flexible with schedules from morning to evening classes. We have taken both morning and evening classes. If you need to reschedule, you can call in or do it in the app. The front desk also is very helpful. They have a retail section so if you happen to forget anything, they will have it! Thìs is something my Husband does with my daughter and that's their special time / bonding experience and it has been great to witness!

The swim instructors are trained really well and they have a good system in place. Each instructor has 3-4 kids which provides an adequate amount of for each kid to learn. It's a really positive and encouraging environment for the kids to learn and, personally, my kids have made great strides. Aqua-Tots is located in a plaza so parking is shared but not too bad I would recommend any kid to come her to learn how to swim!

In…read morejust 20 minutes at a time, and often with a swim buddy (one other person in a group lesson), Nick is able to help him make huge gains in his strokes. Our son has been able to swim for a while, but it was more a combination of freestyle kicks and "big arms" with a lift of the head to breathe. This works fine if you're trying to have fun in the pool. But this is NOT efficient. And we really wanted him to gain some speed. Well, we are getting that with Nick YL. We are truly amazed at the progress and the small tweaks that he makes for huge improvement. Like Nick will tell him to be looking down or glue his ear to his arm and suddenly his stroke is way better. Or he'll move his arms a certain way so our little guy can feel a difference or give him a pull as Nick tells him what to do...it's pretty amazing. The pool is located inside LA Fitness and the facility is not super clean. For example, don't put your coffee cup down on the window sill or you might get a mouthful of cobwebs. But we're only there for 20 minutes and for our purposes it works. Last note: they used to have changing tents and for whatever reason, these are now gone. So I recommend getting a swim parka for after the lesson. We dry with a towel first, then pop the parka on, so we can keep the car seat dry for the ride home.
