Been there several times and always felt service was marginal. They are a bit pricey too. I've had three negative incidents with them when I finally decided to post this. The last one is when they installed an innertube in my rear tire and then put a straight valve on it in such a way that I could not put air in my tire. read more

Great shop. Brought in my old Raleigh mountain bike for an overhaul last summer (new cables, new chain, new cassette, new brake pads). The bike rode like new afterward. Had a minor problem with excessive squeaking of the front brakes. I brought it in and they adjusted the pads the same day without charge. I've always found them to be helpful and friendly. read more

Needed a new tire for my son's Super 73 E-bike. Ming was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I brought the bike in a second time to get the brakes fixed and Carlos did a wonderful job with a very quick turn around (I dropped it off in the evening and was ready next day). He also did a full inspection on the bike and discovered something that was loose that could've actually been really dangerous for my son. I am so grateful for his diligence and expertise. Walked in on a slow Wednesday and 3 guys sitting doing nothing. Asked to replace an inner tube on a scooter and they said it's too hard and too tight of a space. Why are you even there. I have been bringing my 2006-era Specialized bike here for years for maintenance and repair. Finally (and I knew it was coming), Kyle, Brian, and Ming all advised me that it was time for a new bike. As a recent retiree, I didn't think I had the funds to purchase one. Well, that's what Discover is for. They made me such a good deal, I couldn't resist. I purchased a brand-new Specialized (58cm frame) with electronic shifting (which I love), disc brakes, and front suspension. I gave her a shakedown cruise this morning around the hills of Palos Verdes and it proved to be an excellent bike. Today, I went in to Safety Cycle to upgrade my wheel set for my super six Evo 3. When I came in, I was immediately greeted by Ming. Now, I had a set idea of what I wanted, but honestly I don't know too much about Bikes. So Ming introduced me to Bryan and he was very helpful. He gave me information I needed just so I can do research on what to look for, and then he went above and beyond explaining to me the kind of wheels I wanted. I told him what kind of rider I was so he showed me a couple wheel sets and what they're typically good for. I landed on buying a Dura Ace wheel set and they actually gave it to me within under 2 hours. Now my bike makes a sweet sweet sound and I have to admit, it's nice to hear. I always like coming to this store. The mechanics are always on point, and Kyle and Ming always makes my experience easy. Bryan too, made my choosing very easy. I gotta mention that I bought my super six at this location, so if I had questions about my bike or needing to fix something I broke, they would fix it no charge. read more

Clearly I know nothing about bikes and decided to come to "professionals" to seek help. When I asked for the part by name, they laughed and said, sure "its back there by the unicorns". Have taken my Specialized Stump Jumper to these guys several times now and they never disappoint. Super chill people who know their stuff. Just got my bike back and it's like new. Previously they repaired the full suspension joint and they needed to purchase an expensive tool just to make the repair. They went the extra mile and I really appreciated that. Great experience all around! Called around a few places to see how much it would cost to help build a new bike I purchased a while back. I chose Safety Cycle as the gentleman on the phone was kind and offered a reasonable price ($60 for new bike with unopened box), with expected service to be completed in 1 week. In addition, there were plenty of positive experiences based on customer reviews so I felt reassured on my choice. Got to the store, the staff helped bring my unopened box in (grateful for that since I wouldn't be able to carry it myself!). Everyone was friendly and accommodating. They said it would be completed in a week which was okay with me, but even better they had finished building my bike within a few days! Bike has been working great ever since.
