This Safeway is ok, they are friendly, but every time I go here I have to correct their prices when the items are finally rung up. Bought 7 items last week and had to correct 6, bought 6 items today and had to correct 3. A good spot for picking up supplies for the next couple of days, this is a decent Safeway with a nice deli. I found the store to be tidy and reasonably stocked this afternoon with no problem finding drinks, cheese and such so that I have what I need. The men's room was in good shape and my self-checkout worked just fine. I'm not a member of their customer pricing club but if you try Jesse's number with some distant area code, it worked for me. I wanted two 8 piece fried chicken, they only had dark meat left and will not make new chicken until it is gone. I have worked in 3 grocery store delis. I know how this works. Another reason I cannot stand Safeway. Also- a ton of times your digital coupons don't come off- they said "oh, most times you need to reboot your phone first" w t f On most ad days (the day the new ad comes out) watch the prices, they don't enter in the sale price into the system on the sale day until multiple people complain that the sale price is not showing up when they ring their items up. Twice I've stopped here, so my experience is limited. But it's not too far off of the freeway, and it's really the first "big" store you come to after the pass, so it makes for a great place to pause, pee, and thaw out. Anchoring a strip mall development, this Safeway has served me well. It has plenty of parking, so the pup and I can park and stretch our legs. It's a great spot to pop inside and get some food, snacks, or a drink as well as use the restroom if you're on a long trip. If you're more local, it looks to be a standard Safeway with all the elements you need: deli, bakery, produce, etc. I don't mind Safeway, even though they have the annoying track-your-purchase-behavior card, that seems to be common these days. read more

Good selection of items as usual, each aisle is clearly signed so I know where items are just by scanning the signs quickly, and there's a fresh seafood counter as well as a fresh bakery. "Wanna go on a hike?" That is the question that comes up every summer and the North Bend/Snoqualmie area is where you'll probably find me on the weekends. With all the trails along I-90, the fam and I always make a stop at this Safeway before heading out. It's not surprising to see other fellow outdoorsy folks walking around the aisles. Wearers of Patagonia...North Face...REI...proper footwear...ya know. The employees behind the sandwich counter are always friendly. Snacks and drinks are always stocked. Checkout lines aren't too long since we go early in the morning. I don't like using vault toilets at the trailheads so I always use the restroom after purchasing food and beverages. For those summer road trips this Safeway is a good place to grab snacks before driving over Snoqualmie Pass since there isn't another grocery store till you hit Cle Elum. It's also a good place to stretch your legs before heading out to Blewett Pass or continuing on Eastbound I-90. Always check those weather conditions especially during this winter season! read more

Regularly see multiple employees not wearing masks (not to mention customers). These include the guy behind the meat/fish counter, the young man restocking produce, and in the deli. Complaints to HQ continue to receive apologies and promises to put the issue to the North Bend store manager, but clearly the manager doesn't care about protecting the employees, nor the most vulnerable members of our community. Sadly, this is probably the worst Safeway I have ever been to. I've never been able to come into this Safeway and leave quickly because they never have enough checkout lanes open. I would think they would focus on this area of the store as this location is a prime "pit stop" destination of people traveling to and from the Eastside of WA. This Safeway does not enforce masking, and most employees during my visit were not wearing their masks appropriately, while most customers weren't wearing masks at all. If you are trying to make a quick trip the grocery store - don't stop here. You'll end up standing in line for 20 minutes while your ice cream melts. Stopped in for some snacks on our way to eastern Washington on Saturday morning, around 11 am. We had 4 items, and it took us about 20 minutes to pay. There were 3 registers open, with lines down the aisles, and the absolute slowest cashiers I have ever seen (like...sloth slow). We commented to each other about how long it was taking, and the guy in line behind us said that this is typically how long it takes to get through the cash register and that it is horrible. Dang. I would drive an extra 10 minutes or whatever I had to and find another grocery store before I dealt with that on a regular basis. Definitely won't be coming back here - learned my lesson. The parking lot is also like a maze - pay attention - there are a lot of cross roads that do not have stop signs and people drive crazy through the lot. read more

A pretty standard Safeway brand supermarket, but this one has the advantage of an excellent location. Just off I-90 in North Bend, this store serves as an excellent meeting spot and place to stock up for trips into the surrounding mountains. I want to thank this particular safeway for having a salad/taco bar near the deli!!! Hard to find a salad bar in this part of the country and for that I thank them. I recently discovered it while on a lunch break. First time it was awesome. The salad I made had long strips of grilled chicken and finely chopped onion. The next week I visited, the salad bar had ground up powdery chicken bits and red onion RINGS. Who wants to bite into a ring from a giant onion? On that day, the salad bar was bit disappointing. This past weekend, I had to make several 45 minute drives to the middle of nowhere, aka North Bend, to oversee a project friends of mine were working on. Hence, I stopped at this Safeway several times for food. The other option was a Subshop and Starbucks. I decided to get fake Chinese food in their deli - hey, it's not Panda Express, but it's not a boring sub or $6.00 sandwhich from Sbux. Ordered: chow mien, fried rice, General Tso's chicken, and tofu w/black bean sauce. Chinese people do not order General Tso's chicken and it isn't "real" Chinese food, just like fortune cookies. Whatever. I'm in a Safeway deli 45 minutes away from the city. Food: meh. Everything was sitting out for hours. I asked the guy when it was made, and he said 9AM. I picked it up at 5PM. read more

This is the poorest and least professionally run Safeway I've ever been to. Firstly the lines are putridly long. They have this cashier there whom is an Indian guy, he is hands down one of the worst cashier's ever. He is constantly rude and makes off handed comments about your order or you as a person. I came in for a second round of beer for a party and he looked at me and said "someone has a drinking problem". The management treats you like utter garbage and a criminal unless you're one of their old people regulars that's been shopping there for 30 years. read more

This is our local home-town grocery store. The checkers are for-the-most part nice, efficient, and pleasant to chat with while in line. The stockers move out of your way when you are coming through the aisles. The deli is well-stocked with a large variety of pastries, breads, etc. The meat is fresh and the staff are very helpful. Produce has always been fresh and staff are usually around to help with a variety of questions. They recently installed 6 "help-yourself" check-out areas, to help those with small loads. This has helped immensely. The first big problem are the busses of youth that come through town at a variety of days and times and bombard the store with kids wanting drinks and junk food. They are loud and rude, for the most part. The run in and out of check-out lines with the small purchases, holding space for their friends to take "cuts". Staff at the store are very patient with them, but these "visitors" are usually the cause of the longer lines. The other big problem are the "out-of-towners" who come to a small town and get verbally (and loudly) upset if there are more than 3 customers in line, and this is even at 5-6 pm when many folks are picking up something for dinner. They treat staff rudely as if they control staffing patterns or can wave a magic wand to make half of the customers just disappear. If you don't like small town friendliness, stay in the big city where rude behaviors are expected and allowed. The North Bend Safeway is a great store and the staff are dedicated and friendly and professional. read more

Usually if you ran out of eggs, cream, or in need of gum, etc...then Safeway would be your stop. Otherwise, drive down to Renton or Bellevue for Asian supermarkets and you will pay half the price for the same amount of foods. However, Safeway has its sparks: fresh bakery or sweets, salads packages, and other sale items. Safeway club helps with a bit of savings but not that much. read more

My husband & I were treated horribly at the North Bend Ssfewah pharmacy. Today being Sunday Oct 11th & there was a temporary pharmacist or floater pharmacist working and he refused to give me my asthma medication because I wasn't wearing a mask and explained I have severe asthma and I'm not able to wear a mask due to my condition, I even showed him my inhauler, but he said I don't care. So my husband had to get my medication since he did have a mask and tried to explain to the pharmacist anout my condition, but the pharmacist talked over him not letting him talk. We told the pharmacist we were going file a complaint against him as we left. Then the manager was called as we were trying to check out at the cash register and manager told us the pharmacist said we threatened his life which was a complete lie. We asked several times to call the police and they refused to do that. The pharmacist was rude and very disrespectful to us and so was the new manager named Mark. We will take our pharmacy accounts from safeway and file complaints with the safeway head quarters after being treated so badly. Never been treated so badly by the regular pharmacy staff, Steve and Amber and always respectful. They know us well and never has been an issue with me not being able to wear a mask due to my asthma. But it only takes once and how they handled it today will cost them losing our business. The mask mandate is not a law and the rude pharmacist kept saying it was the law. read more

Okay, so lets start off at the check out lines, they take about a good 30 minutes for some of the check out people, for others it takes about 15 minutes. The deli is great but, getting fried chicken can be hesitant! Instead of putting 4 chicken breasts, 4 thighs, 4 drumsticks, and 4 wings, they used to put 8 thighs and 4 drumsticks with 4 wings, until there was a complaint filed. Also when getting some groceries and bringing them home we found that several of our items were expired! This Safeway wasn't nearly as good as many of the Safeway's I have been to. read more

This is one of the worst safeway stores i have shopped at. Always short of checkers. They are losing a tremendous amount of business by not having enough checkers. Many people i talk to say they would go ther buy shop QFC instead because of wait times to get checked out. In addition they make an inordinate amount of mistakes at the checkout. geSpecials are not entered in the computer and it is almost a gaurantee that if yuou have 5 items or more one of them will come up at the higher price than the advertised special. Funny it is always in their favor. Not so on the safeway at the Ridge i have yet to find a mistake there. The help is usually inexerienced and the managers are wannbes with little people skills. MANAGEMENT, YOU ARE SELLING A GOOD PRODUCT, PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO GIVE YOU THEIR MONEY, WAKE UP AND IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS AND YOU WILL SELL MORE PRODUCT!!!!!!! read more

We refuse to shop here anymore. Nothing but rude employees that would rather talk to each other than help customers and expired foods. It is no longer safe to shop here unless you check everything you pick up for dates before you put it in your cart and NO ONE cares. If it wasn't for a bunch of us in my neighborhood having the same experiences, I would think I was in the twilight zone every time I walk in that store. No more. It doesn't matter what Safeway I'm at or what time of day it is, the 2 lanes they have open are always backed out into the aisles. I know you can't do anything about the guy writing checks with 3 month expired coupons, but you can tell him to go to customer service or maybe pull the checker and manager that are walking around the parking lot getting carts and put them on registers. Get one of the stockers that are leaving pallets all over the sales floor or literally anybody else in the store to go get carts, checkers should be checking people out. read more
