First, they get a star for being the only locally owned pharmacy near me. There's simply no way I'm going to target or walgreeens, so Horsnyder's is where I'm at, like it or not. I'll give another star because the pharmacist personally intervened in my case and helped make sure I would be able to get my doses on time. I still think this special treatment shouldn't be necessary and recognize it's not the same service others are getting. The thing that really makes me mad is the way they invalidate prescriptions after 1 year with no warning whatsoever. It doesn't matter if your bottle reads "10 of 12 refills remaining," if the prescription is more than a year old they will cancel it and not tell you. When I complained about this, they told me I should track it on my end and simply note when I make my annual doctor visit. I feel a good pharmacy would track that themselves, and warn you that a prescription renewal was imminent so that you don't miss doses. In many ways I feel this is a pharmacy not well set up for sick people. I don't go to the doctor annually; I'm constantly in and out of there. I have 4 prescriptions at Horsnyders that I need to constantly babysit to make sure they don't run out or expire. It still feels like I'm having to put in way too much work to be one of their customers. Please, Horsnyders, figure out how to track when these prescriptions are expiring so that your sick patients are not missing doses.

They have excellent service, little waiting, they are so nice when I go in, they help me get through RX Insurance issues and resolve them, they bend over backwards to be helpful to me. They also offer home delivery! At CVS I wait in long lines and get moved to wait in another line, etc., they forget to bill insurance, they do not have the quantity of the pills I am getting, they have me come back the next day when they are busy. Walgrens is less waiting but cannot top the great service at TOm's.

So i went into the store today to buy the large bottle of Listerine, and I grabbed 2 of them when I saw a sign saying "2 for $8". Well when I got up to the checkout, the nice customer service lady told me they were actually 10.99 a bottle, and the sign must have been wrong. So the manager and I walked back to the aisle, and she saw that the price sticker sign was in the wrong spot, BUT she gave both bottles to me for $8 anyway, even though I didn't ask her to. The photo area is always unmanned-- I end up standing there for several minutes before having to track someone down. Customer service is hit or miss, and the checkout lanes remain crowded together with little regard for spacing. My most recent experience was especially frustrating. I stopped in quickly on my way to an event to purchase deodorant, only to find that the barcode wouldn't scan. A passing employee confirmed there was no price in the system at all. After already waiting in line several minutes, this was the final straw-- I left without making a purchase. For such a common item not to even appear in inventory shows a lack of organization and attention to detail. This store gives the impression of being poorly managed and not customer-focused.
