They keep that store really clean to and it just has such a welcoming and perfect organic vibe ! Definitely will be coming to this store from now on just to get that customer service again ! We were there for an hour plus, walked away after spending more than $300 just for BBQ sauces, salad dressings, pickles, chocolates, pasta, canned tomato products, jams, jellies, cheeses, wines, liquor, every kind of spices, etc, we are denied by Safeway. If I didn't know better, I'd think that AJ's is owned by Raley's, which we shopped at for 30+ years. A lot of upscale, well-dressed people in the store... very high-end in nature and curb appeal. Wonderful selections in everything: beautiful produce, cooked food for hungry shoppers, a clean place to eat, and a superlative deli. Very nice people. Prices? One or no checkouts open except the self checkout. Placing wrong items in front of sales tags. Yesterday I bought 4 boxes of cereal required to get the sale price. Three of the four boxes had use by dates of May 2026. For a box of cereal to have that date means it had to be sitting around for quite a while. Would it be so difficult for these corporations to start treating the people who support them with a little more respect.

I especially want to recognize Tom in the meat department. He's been there for years, and you can tell he genuinely takes pride in his work. His department is always spotless, the meat always looks fresh and beautifully displayed, and he's constantly restocking while still paying attention to every customer who walks up. Even when he's busy, he's always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Another employee who deserves recognition is Kelli H., one of the cashiers. Even though I usually use self-checkout, whenever I go through her line she's always so kind and welcoming. One time she was about to close her register, but when I asked if she could take just a few more items, she smiled and said, "Yeah, absolutely. I can always take more." She also helped me learn how to use the Albertsons app so I could get the sale price on an item, bagged all of my groceries, and even loaded everything into my cart. She truly goes above and beyond every single time I see her. I also love that this location is in the Scottsdale Crossing Shopping Plaza" inside has a Starbucks, a pharmacy, and a hot food section. I almost always grab one of their rotisserie chickens they're so good! Yes, Albertsons can be a little more expensive than some other grocery stores, but the quality of the products, how clean the store is, and the outstanding customer service make up for it. We love the team and know everyone by name and would look so forward to walking down to AJS daily and getting coffee. The amazing brewed flavored coffee was second to None! Always served with the lovely smiles of Nancy, Steve, Esther, Fernanda & crew. We miss the amazing BBQ & Chef Steph & Chris creating the best grilled steaks in town. . Fuji made the BEST sushi. Saleslady at make up counter was walking away and I asked her to unlock a product and she said rudely she needs to get a coffee and her cash drawer. I left and went to Walgreens paying more for the item. Ladies at the return desk are awesome. I will now go a little further to the Mesa store
