The most exciting part of my day, is hearing about an Indian restaurant I haven't tried( I'm surprised there's still some I haven't been to) This place is located in the old Steamboat steakhouse. A huge place! The restaurant portion is to the left with a bar area to the right. The entire middle section is blocked off as a venue. We came in for Saturday lunch buffet around 1pm, we were the only customers there. (Uh oh) Not a good sign. There were about 4 meats to choose from, rice, and a few other side dishes. The dessert table had 2 to choose from. I grabbed a little bit of most dishes, however the chicken was all extremely dry. None of the food tasted fresh. The flavors were lacking that deep pungent taste that I've come to love. I left disappointed and craving good Indian food.

Ordered delivery through Uber Eats Very sad to say that I won't be ordering from here again. The last time was very tasty, but this time the packaging was melted through, the curry had leaked out everywhere, AND there was a dead bug greeting me as I opened the bag.

I'll mark this place as average food with great hospitality. We visited this place on 12/28/23. It has very limited seating options. From the outside when you enter it looks like a hotel. But when you go inside, you will know that the restaurant is just a small portion on the right side, on the left side it's all the dry snacks area. The front is the big ballroom with restrooms inside. The upstairs is the corporate office, probably belonging to the same company. We came here around 8pm and it was pretty full that time, only 1 table empty. Anyway seating options are limited so I highly suggest making reservation or calling before heading there with big party. Food was ok, we wanted to get something before heading Austin so it was ok that way. We got Manchurian, paneer makhni, butter naan. Manchurian was clearly re heated, not prepared fresh. As it has very hard layer outside and all spices were way too much. Butter naan was ok. Paneer makhni taste was ok, not too spicy but it has color in it. One can see it on tongue and hands. Overall I would rate it 3/5. But wouldn't recommend it someone personally. The service was great. Lady was kind enough to ask for to-go boxes and fill the remaining items by herself.

The creamiest and dreamiest Palek paneer with super tasty chicken tikka masala, rice, and butter naan.

A new date night favorite! An Indian restaurant with killer food and lovely ambiance? Yes, it exists! They're known for their lunch buffet- which is apparently one of the best, but we came for dinner. We sat at the super cozy bar with big comfy, padded barstools and lovely low lighting. The bourbon list is beyond incredible- especially for an Indian restaurant! Same for wines. Our dinners were served in lovely modern china dishes - huge portions- and looked and smelled fantastic. This is not your normal mom and pop operation- not that there's anything wrong with that- but this is as a much more elevated experience. The menu is excellent and has a ton of options- overall, we went the boring route in our choices, but it didn't disappoint! We started with the Chicken 65 - chicken breast bites lightly breaded and tossed with a lovely Manchurian sauce which was warm and tasty. He had the chicken tikka masala and I had the Palek Paneer (aka Saag Paneer). The Palek Paneer was by far the creamiest I've ever had, and the chicken was delicious and dreamy. The portions are easily enough for 2-3 meals and also come with a very nice quality rice. We ordered everything at a medium spice level and it was barely spicy to us- we'd go up next time. We also ordered the butter naan which was yummy. The bartender was friendly, warm, and funny. We felt welcomed and appreciated the warm hospitality. The bar seating in general was also lovely- cozy tables and nicely lowered lights made this spot a wonderful place to enjoy a fabulous meal on a date or with friends.

Delicious food and excellent service. Very cozy and table with white tablecloth. Very nice! Will definitely be back

I ordered online via google for pick up as I work nearby. Upon walking in, there was no one around. I noticed what seemed to be a togo order on a table and it seemed to be my order so I just took it and left. (I paid online) I ordered for lunch takeout, butter chicken and garlic naan. $28 seemed a bit steep for it to not come with a side of plain rice. It seemed like lunch portions for a dinner price, but I'm not sure. It did come with a small salad, but no dressing and not sure if its supposed to come with any dressing. I also asked for utensils and napkins but I didn't get any. The food was delicious though. I asked for it spicy and I was not disappointed. The garlic naan was tasty too. I may come back for a date night, but I won't be spending $30 on lunch anymore.

At the back we have the mango lassi and at the front the lyche lemonade with tequila both made by Mr. Jimmy

Bread, charcuterie board, salad, and salmon were soooo good. The only thing I don't recommend is the lemonade. It wasn't very lemon flavored. The waiter were nice and the food came out at a decent time and was still hot even though there were 15+ people there. I enjoyed the musician but it was a tad loud for people trying to talk to each other. We have to shout when the musician is playing their flute. I would return!

This review is long overdue. My usual order from the menu when we dine in is the Pappardelle alla Bolognese, my comfort dish and the one authentic recipe I'm proudest of making at home. I'm Italian, raised in a working class, Italian immigrant community very far from Texas. There aren't many options for Italian food in Houston (pretty sure I've tried them all) and this is the only Italian restaurant that truly tastes like the flavors I grew up with. Like my Nonna used to make. Even though the owners aren't Italian, Peruvian I believe, they honor the flavors and traditions better than most places that claim to be. They care enough to get the flavors right and pay real homage to my culture. That means something. It tastes like my Nonna's cooking -- and that's the highest compliment I can give. A tavola non s'invecchia.

Prices are slightly high but that is to be expected in such an elegant location. Attire is upwardly casual.

It wasn't overly crowded, so we were seated fairly quickly. We started with complimentary bread, which came out hot and was served with olive oil. It was delicious! Since I have a dairy sensitivity, it was a bit challenging to narrow down what to order. I ended up getting the Polpette, which normally comes with two giant meatballs and whole wheat spaghetti, but I substituted with the lamb meatballs because the original version contained cheese. Hindsight, I probably should have stuck with the original dish because I wasn't a fan of the lamb meatballs. That said, the overall flavor of the dish was still very good. If I return, I'd definitely be interested in trying something different from the menu.

It's been quite a long time since I was here and as I was in the neighborhood I decided to stop by again today. Remembering how good they were last time, I ordered the Oma's Frikadellen (grandma's recipe for all-beef meatballs). I like a good German meatball and these were tender and juicy. There was a choice of red cabbage or sauerkraut as a side; having confirmed they made the sauerkraut in-house themselves, had to order that because I know it's super healthy to eat. Better yet, that sauerkraut was almost perfect with a great flavor, but not too tart and just really a delicious version. Honestly I could've eaten a huge bucket load of that sauerkraut and I may buy some to go someday just to have it on hand in my refrigerator; a slight warm and it would be a wonderful side to serve guests. Dessert was a wow! I wanted to try a dessert that they made themselves and so I couldn't help but go with one of the dessert specials of the day. There were several options available not on the menu and although it was tempting to try the tiramisu or one of the three versions of crème brûlée they make, I decided to go with their homemade limoncello cake which turned out to be a delicious choice that I'm very happy about. Waiter Ty said it was one of his favorite desserts here and I could taste why -- moist cake, flavor-filled filling, whipped cream and with blueberries to decorate the plate. In fact it was so yummy that I decided that so someday soon I would order one with a couple days notice and then take it to my family's place next time I go over for dinner - what I don't know is whether I'll tell them the truth or try and pretend that I made it myself LOL :-) Update: the next day I did call to order an entire cake and it didn't last very long once the family dug in, got gobbled up because it had an intense great lemon flavor, wonderful.
