If you liked Conca D'Oro food and prices you're going to hate this place. They "upscaled" the place, jacked the prices for average (at best) food and have the worst service of any restaurant that I've been to in years. Thankfully there are alternatives to their overpriced "store-bought" quality pizza in the area. Sad to see a nice old mainstay of Sag Harbor ruined by this new downgrade. Avoid. read more

Sag pizza has amazing pizza! We called in an order for a large cheese pizza and it was ready when they said it would be. Crust was slightly chewy yet soft, sauce was perfectly in the background, and the cheese was gooey but not greasy. Cannot tell you how disappointed we were with Sag Pizza. The salad we ordered was so tiny- for $14, and the burata priced at $22 was the tiniest portion I've seen at a restaurant. It took over an hour from the time we ordered the pizzas till they were served. The mushroom pizza was soggy, tasteless and overloaded with cheese. The other pizzas were not even mediocre. The head waiter did his best, but was clearly overwhelmed with the most disinterested, incompetent support staff I've ever seen. Didn't seem like anyone was managing the place as it was in utter chaos. Nobody cleared our table. We finally got up and cleared it ourselves, while the girl standing at the register did absolutely nothing and just blankly stared at us. I would avoid this place; never going back here. read more

I don't know why people give this place a hard time. I'm a local, and, I've also travelled and eaten great food around the world. I've eaten here a bunch of times with my family. It's consistently delicious, high-quality, fresh food. The pizza is authentic, wood-fired, thin-crust, with the perfect amount of blistering and char. Great pastas and salads. Ignore the haters! This is the BEST pizza and the tastiest, freshest Ingredients, full of flavor, with an extra crunchy dough, that I have ever had! melts in your mouth ! I would give zero stars. As a long time Sag resident Conca Doros was a local haven. After selling to LT Burger it's a sad gouge-fest. The favorite Gorgonzola salad is gone replaced by a $14 bed of arugula. Buy 2 bunches at Pike farm stand for $6 and save $30. Some of the worst service there is: about two hours to get two pies and a pasta. Pretty clear that they put in orders only after their hungry customers inquire! Pizza is hit or miss--depends on the day. Buffala soggy, Vongole serviceable. Pasta, once it came, was a pleasant surprise. They rushed the opening, and I'm not sure the staff will ever recover. I'd have cut some slack in August, but they've been at it about a month already, and the high season is over. Hard to root for this one when they so clearly disdain their customers. Nothing about this place says Itialian . The pizza is terrable no traditional pizza. All there pizza is made up of anything but Itialian. There pasta doesn't come with red sauce. From everyone that I know that has been here their problems were with the service and the timing of the food. My family and I avoided that by doing take out. I had the mushroom truffle pizza, and the zucchini salad. My brother had the pepperoni pizza, my mom had the squash pizza and my dad had the seafood saffron pasta. All in all I thought the food was very delicious except for the zucchini salad. The shapes of the zucchini were in noodle form not ribbon form and honestly it was a waste of 12 dollars. I didn't like how that salad was really plain and I felt like I was eating vegetables. I know that probably sounds stupid or silly but when I make a zucchini salad like that I don't ever think "oh I'm eating vegetables" I think "omg this is so delicious" and I don't think about how I'm eating straight grass. But the pizzas were very big and I could only eat half of mine. But here's the only other reason why I'm giving it a 4. About an hour after dinner my stomach feels weird and I think oh I probably need to go to the bathroom. And after sitting on the toilet for 5 seconds just explosive diarrhea comes out. I don't know what that's from but I'm thinking the pizza especially because I had eaten very light the rest of that day. I also eat dairy about 1 times every 2-3 days so it's not a lactose thing. And I also eat gluten all the time so it's not that either. All in all this place was delicious take out but an hour later was not so fun. read more

This place is HORRIBLE, bring back Conca D'Oro!! I Never write reviews but i had to for this place. I have been coming to sag harbor since i was a kid and never had such bad service in my life. Went there yesterday with my girlfriend. we waiting over and hour which was 25 min over the quoted time, which was fine. On a sunday you cant really rush people. When we finally got seated, the table of 4 was being seated next to us as well. 5 min into the table of 4 who was seated next to us they received at least water and the waiter took their order of drinks and answered questions about food. 5 min, 10 min 15 min into us being seated, no one bothers even to give us water or look our way. Finally i flagged a waiter down and asked him to take our order and please give us water. meanwhile, the whole time the condensation from the AC was dripping on me at my table. another 20 min, we still didn't get our wine. had to flagged the waiter again. another 40 min pass, at this point the table to our left that sat when we did is finishing up their meal. and the new table to our right has received their meal. we still had not received our pizza. Finally i had to get up a 3rd time and ask for someone to serve us. i saw the lovely hostess slicing up pizzas to send out and complained to her that the table who sat the same time as us had just got their check and left and we hadn't even gotten our food. 2 min later we got our bland overpriced pizza. but before we could start eating we needed forks knives NAPKINS!!! 4th time now i had to get a SERVER TO SERVE US. at that point i complained to the half ass server that was barely our server that this is ridiculous and for him to do his job and to at least get us cutler and plates. i had to get my own take home boxes and couldn't have been more thrilled to leave that HELL HOLE. I heard the owner also owns LT burger right down the street as well. he/she needs to focus on Sag Pizza and the disaster it is and how they treat their customers. Honestly, not even really worth a star. I went to Sag Pizza twice this past weekend. The first time, my friend and I ordered a slice of pizza to go. The pizza had clearly been sitting out for awhile and was heated up in what looked like a bagel toaster. We got back to the house, ate it, and realized it was incredibly greasy and not fresh at all. Slim pickings dining wise in Sag, so I figured I would just deal with it. That evening, we attempted to order from Espresso however, they were closed, so we made the decision to drive into town and take-out from Sag Pizza. After placing 1 of the 5 order (had 5 people in the group), we asked if we could actually dine in. The cashier gave us a sideways look and said "I guess" as if we were making some sort of major inconvenience by asking to dine-in. That put a bad taste in our mouth, so we just decided to dine out. Each of us ordered pasta, and for starters, $30 for pasta is a bit aggressive, no matter where you are. I figured it must be incredibly good, a large portion, come with bread, etc.. None of the above applied. Each of our pastas came in flimsy cardboard containers and when we opened them, it appeared as if someone had just scooped a small bit of pasta into each box. It was enough for a couple of bites, extremely oily and overall just, not good. The bolognese tasted like the meat flavored Prego you buy from Shop-Rite. None of the portions came with bread, utensils, napkins. For $30, one would think I would at least get a piece of bread or a napkin. I am not going to go on and on about how I miss the old home-town pizza place, etc. That is not the point of this post. I get it, the dynamic of the town is changing and we must move on. The point of this review is just to say that I was super disappointed with Sag Pizza in general. The following evening, we dined-in at Paige. I again ordered pasta (which was less expensive than the pasta at Sag Pizza) that came in a large portion, with bread and utensils (who would have thought). It was CHEAPER to dine in at Paige (and the pasta was delish) than it was to take out at Sag Pizza. I will leave the review with that. read more

I had high expectations going into Sag Pizza today. The space was beautifully done with a large and welcoming dining room. That was the good part...now for the service and food - not so good. Our server was nice, but it was obvious this was her first job and didn't come to see about our meal. My husband's pizza arrived absolutely burned to a crisp. The pepperoni were burned to black cinders. Our other pizza, the Farmer's pizza was so running all of the topping came off when you picked up a slice. We all had a soft serve ice cream and when my mother asked if her left over pizza could be put in a box to take home, the server asked if she wanted the rest of her ice cream put in the box with the pizza! NO!!! Tonight I ordered takeout from Sag Pizza. The person at the counter was so rude that I purposely did not leave a tip...later in the evening I received my emailed receipt and the cashier had added a 20% tip without my knowledge. Upon discovery, I immediately notified Amex of the fraudulent charge. This is the second horrible experience I have had with this place. If you go here, beware and check your receipts afterwards. Yes, the reviews are correct and you will wait for over an hour for a pizza, which is small, over priced, flavorless and soggy.....the salads and burrata are about 1/2 the size of other restaurants in the area....the server did his best but had way too many tables and his support staff was doing their best to look busy while doing nothing and when they did anything they just were clueless and incompetent. For example - We asked for bread twice and 20 minutes later they brought 2 slices for 6 people. At one point after we were done with the pizza and had ordered dessert they still had not cleared the table. So I helped them out and put all the dishes on the pizza counter right as people walked into the restaurant. They were still there when we left over 45 minutes later...I wouldn't go back.... read more

We order a pizza to go and were told it would be ready in 25 minutes - it took 50 minutes and they got the order wrong. When we finally got the little excuse for a pizza - it was horrible. We got take out from here for the first time. Very bizarre phone ordering experience and it left me very nervous about going to see what I had ordered. They did not make it clear about the pie size so I did not know how many pizzas to order. We also got garlic knots and they only come in twos appare so we got more than we wanted. Very nice place and atmosphere was very cool when we went to pick it up. We had to wait longer when we got there and the staff was not very nice. Pizza and garlic knots were delicious. We had two different pizzas, calamari, watermelon salad, burrata, meatballs and a few drinks. Everything was really good. It gets busy and they just opened so you might have to be patient while they work out some kinks but it is well worth going. Pricing is very reasonable also. read more

The service at this restaurant was deplorable. To begin with seating inside was unbearable considering it's was 80 degrees and smoke from the pizza oven was blowing all over us. It took at least forty minutes for just three cheese pizzas to be served to us, which honestly are overrated. While we were over heating and starving the waiters thought it best to sip on lemonade in the corner and take a minute to themselves to check their phones. When the pizza finally did come it was covered in black ash which got all over my hands! Then when the check came my sister paid 100 dollars which was deducted from her card but according to them it didn't go through, in which I paid an extra 100 dollars. They could not be more rude about the situation, and when I said forget it I'll pay and handed him my phone (for Apple Pay) he was so aggressive that he dropped it. And just forget about going to dinner with friends you can't even split the check more than two ways. Overall an awful experience and I'd rather roll over and die then go back to this place. I really want to like this place. Staff - very nice. We've gotten takeout pizza from there several times and most were okay to good, but when we dine there, the pizza either has too much sauce and oil or too much cheese. The crust ends up shot and the pizza is really limp. One time it took three tries for us to get a 4-cheese pie as the bottom of the first two fell out in the middle. I love the vibe in the place, but they really need to get someone who knows about pizza. Just my opinion. read more
