We had a private room downstairs. The jukebox was playing some great tunes, there was football on tv, and the vibe was festive. The main bar area has numerous TVs on the wall; in addition to booths and tables in case you want to have a bite to eat. Menu offerings consist of contemporary American fusion cuisine. Our server was Monique, and she managed our party like a pro - providing friendly and attentive service with a smile. They have a nice selection of craft cocktails that incorporate fresh ingredients. I started with a Cadillac Margarita. I liked that it was served with a snifter of Grand Marnier on the side. It was perfection! Later in the evening I had the Violet Hour - a delightful drink comprised of Empress gin, champagne, Lilet Blanc, lavender bitters, & lavender syrup. It was pretty & tasty. The $4 happy hour drinks were a steal, and the $25 Sage platter was perfect for sharing -- wings, fries, onion rings, poppers, and chicken tenders, all fresh and tasty. Came here to watch the Canelo fight this past weekend with the girls and had a great experience! We walked in and were all quickly greeted. Although we didn't call in to make reservations to see the fight- we were told that we were able to sit where ever we wanted that didn't already have a reservation name on the table. We were able to score a fire table for the fight and had Ana making first experience here. There were tbs all around the place which heightened the fight night experience we were looking for. The colorful wall lights definitely added to the atmosphere. The drinks we ordered came quick as well as the food! We ordered wings, fries, pizza, asada nachos. Everything came so hot and delicious . We attended a comedy show here recently. This was my first time to this restaurant and I had no idea they had multiple rooms for various events, besides the main sports bar area. Upon entering, we were directed to the room to the left which was quite large, including a stage and bar. We had our own service team that waited on us for the evening. We were able to order right away, pretty much finishing our meal before the show started. I must say, the show was quite good. Everything flowed nicely throughout the night. Acoustics were perfect. Stage could have had better lighting on the comedians. The food was good for what I would classify as "bar food" with extra variety. You scan a QR code and view menu from your phone, but order with the server. Food was brought out quickly. Prices were quite reasonable, especially considering how huge the portions were. For bang for your buck, this is the spot. For a Saturday night, it was easy to park in the lot next to the restaurant, plus there is street parking all around. read more

We held our 30th high school reunion at Sage this past weekend, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Albert was absolutely fantastic, he was professional, responsive, and so attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and we couldn't have asked for a better person to help us pull off such a special night. The venue was private and inviting, which made everyone feel comfortable right away, it honestly felt like the best high school dance ever! The setup was ideal: a stage for the band, a separate area for the DJ, plenty of couches and chairs for mingling and a big enough dance floor for everyone to dance, It even had its own private restroom with multiple stalls. The food and drinks were great, and Ashley, our bartender, was wonderful too. Parking nearby made it easy for everyone to attend. We're so grateful to Albert and the team at Sage for making our reunion such a success, and we'd love to celebrate our next one here again! read more

Friends and I came for happy hour and a hang out. At 3:15 the place was still empty- though it filled up by 4 or 4:30. The service was outstanding. Even as the staff prepped the bar and restaurant, they checked on us regularly to make sure we had drinks filled, etc. We ordered the flautas, sweet potato fries, chips & salsa, and later on a supreme pizza. I was here last weekend with a group of friends and the overarching feeling I left with was that I will not be back under any circumstance. To start, there was zero security check whatsoever. Normally this isn't an issue if you're going to a regular restaurant or bar, but this was already more of a night club by that hour, and there are a LOT of patrons who look like they may or may not be affiliated. So, zero security check made me feel unsafe. Then we got taken to our reserved seating area and we waited for 15 minutes at minimum and no one had even come and greeted us. We paid for bottle service, and I had to go ask security what we were supposed to do. The waitress said no one told her we had arrived. Once the waitress comes over and confirms our order, she brings us PLASTIC, colored cups with water stains and sticker residue all over them. Never in my whole damn life have I been to a restaurant/bar, etc. that serves cups that looks like they got pulled out of a camping box from someone's garage. I asked her for different cups and she brings a different set of plastic cups, still with water stains and sticker residue. I did not feel comfortable at all drinking out of them, so we had to ask her to get cups a 3rd time. Finally she brought glass cups that everyone else in the place had. (Like at that point - just give me a disposable cup, even ). This place was too sloppy, too dirty, and too sketchy in my opinion. Sorry . I will say that the music was fun, but that's about it. They have a good variety of drinks, something for everyone and a nice happy hour. It took a minute to get a server but once we did she was very friendly and attentive. The venue is large and spacious and it seems that it can be reserved for private events. They also have good music and plenty of TVs at the bar to watch a game. Despite the not so great reviews my cousin and I decided to go to Sage for dinner, drinks, and the UFC fight. We loved the ambiance and the service was TOP NOTCH. Our sever was so nice and on top of it. She was super helpful when we couldn't decide which drinks to order. This review is solely for the manager, ALBERT KHELLA. My entire friend group & family have been coming here for years & we've never had any issue like this before. Long story short- this man came up to my friend and pulled her by the ear to a few steps further on the dance floor. Did she know him? No. Did she do anything to provoke the guy? No & if she did- we've all been taught the golden rule in pre-k aka KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF. After yelling at the guy and asking why he did what he did (mind you he said "idk I just did" & there would've been no valid excuse to do that anyway) someone then shouted from the side of me "he's the manager!" From this minute all hell broke loose. How is the "manager" out here putting hands on other people? Spoke to another team member who confirmed he indeed was manager and got the owners name down, but all contact info listed ties back to Albert. He's in these reviews responding back as well. Went to go see the Smith's. It is actually a nice place. It has a great dance floor. The sound system is not very good. I could not hear the singer at all. I could hear the players who were using their amps. But the sound system was not any good. I also don't like waitresses running around with a flash highlighting bottle service. The place is clean, but again, the crowd is overrun with "veteranos" and old-school crowd. The music was all over the place, the transitions were very odd. Going from Marc Anthony to Mana to back that thing up. At $5 cover, you get what you pay for. Wish uptown had a scene for younger crowds to dance after going to the nice social eateries down Greenleaf. No one was manning the photo booth so you had your 50 year old, drunk ladies making doggy-style poses with men and taking 10+ pictures with no regard for others waiting in line. Came for their 90s House Party event Saturday 6/18/22 for a pre celebration for Father's day, they wouldn't give any seating, and I'm disabled and can't stand for lengthy times, asked the hostess for seating being disabled and she said no, the bartender said we have to buy Grey Goose for $175 or a bottle of tequila for $220 to get seating. Mind you we purchased 4 beers and planned to stay most of the night. The staff overall was very rude, arrogant and inconsiderate. Second time in a row that the crowd was very hostile and not a friendly environment. I would suggest they work on their hospitality like even the most recent TV show that filmed and reviewed them said. Not even air time can make the owner and staff change, disappointing. I'm also an active foodie and drinks enthusiast in Uptown Whittier and several cities, and hands down Sage is the worst experience. My wife and I waltzed in here yesterday evening from Riverside so we didn't quite know what to expect. It was as if Kristal had sensed our immediate need for questions, especially me, being that I'm sober and only eat really healthy food. When I saw the bar I thought "I don't know about this. Is the menu just going to be a bunch of deep fried stuff and nachos?" The men's bathroom, for the time being, is under construction so Kristal was cool enough to make sure there were no ladies in the lady's room, so that I could use it. When I got back to our table she instantly was on the ball and made everything awesome. I even found, to my delight, pozole and teriyaki salmon on the menu, which I promptly ordered, along with a virgin pina colada. The food was absolutely amazing and tasted very fresh. I was planning for a week to go here with my sister and brother in law for their disco Sunday event with DJ J Love... we showed up dressed to the nines and when we get there the security tells us we can't go in because of our attire??? I even TEXTED the number I was given and asked for clarification the week of the event and was told we were good to go. Such an unfulfilling experience in my life! First they are not checking vaccine status, it's crowded and even the staff don't wear masks, but honestly, i wouldn't even be writing this if that was it. None of the women's bathrooms work. There were 3 toilets, one was blocked for being out of order, one didn't flush at all, the other only sometimes flushed. The bartenders can not even make a well drink and when you point it out, they get aggressive and won't remake it, so every time you order the same drink it's different depending who makes it (vodka+soda!).
