John at the front cleaned up my nails at least better than the tech could from the awful service I received.. I've never been more stressed with something that should have been relaxing. My first issue was that my tech was clearly sick. She coughed throughout my whole service. She was masked, but wasn't wearing it properly. I'm pregnant, and if you're sick, you shouldn't be working that closely to people. I showed her the picture I wanted, and she got to work. My next issue was that she didn't do my cuticles and I did bring that up. She said she was going to, and she never did. The acrylic also isn't laid down to my cuticles, so it looks like I have a bit of growth, and I literally just left the salon. I got some gems, and those also are laid up higher than the bottom of the acrylic she laid, so you can see they're higher than where they should be. She used black acrylic, and got it ALL over my fingers, and when I asked numerous times for it to be cleaned off, instead of using acetone, she decided to start clipping my skin off. All around my nail. Never in my life would I think that that's an acceptable way to remove something acetone can do without damaging my hands and skin. I have chunks of skin missing around my nails now, my thumbs got the worst of it.. and then when the manager would walk by she'd start to use acetone and it would hurt because she would be going over where she was just cutting into me. I asked REPEATEDLY, over 5 times, if she could stop clipping my skin off, and that it hurt. I told her there had to be another way, and why she couldn't have just used the acetone from the beginning, in which she replied that over the next few days with soap and water it would come off. Never in my life have I left a salon with black all over my skin around my nails. Absolutely unacceptable as to that being her response when you're paying over $100 for nails. What made it worse was she definitely blatantly was speaking badly about me with a coworker who came up. Then came the writing I wanted done. I repeatedly said I wanted cursive, and she wasn't listening. The manager came over and asked me to let her try one more time. I said I'd rather just not have it done, and to just keep them black, but he insisted I give her another shot.. I let her. It's not really how I wanted it, and I kind of wish I just left it black because I truly don't like how it turned out, but I didn't want to argue or plea with anyone anymore. I honestly just wanted to leave, and regret the fact that I didn't just do that when I noticed she was sick. It came time to leave and I still had black all over the surrounding skin of my nails. John asked if I was feeling better about my nails and I told him no not really, and why. He pulled me aside and took the time with the acetone to get the remaining black off; to which he was able to get the majority. It burned because of the previous techs hack job of taking my skin off, but it did help. You can still see black on the surroundings of the broken skin though.
John originally only offered $5 off, which still brought my spending over $100. After I put a review up later he offered me a refund of half of my visit. I kindly accepted that as I figured that was fair.
After I went in to obtain my refund, he called my personal phone AGAIN to ask me if I could take down my review because they gave me half back. Like... what.? IT STILL HAPPENED. Giving me back what is rightfully mine doesn't take away from the experience I had. I should have been charged half of what I paid for these nails to begin with! That's what they're worth! This place only cares about money and their image. They do not care about you. And when he called after "making it right" to ask that, it very much was giving "we will give you half to sweep this under the rug."
This place used to be amazing, but this was the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I will not be returning. I went out to the car and cried. And to me that's just not worth the money I spent. read more
