I came after getting my hair cut nearby. I was early enough to barely beat the main dinner rush, but it was pretty awkward because I definitely felt eyes stabbing at me since I was sitting at a table and there were couples coming in that wanted my table over sitting at the bar. The food here was very fresh and tasty! I loved the veggie pho and the fresh rolls. They have very generous portion sizes as well. They do have some cocktails and things if you're interested in drinking. There's also NA options too, but none of them really spoke to me and it felt too hot outside for a pot of tea. The servers were attentive and helpful and asked lots of questions. They bring you chili and hoisin sauces so you can add what you want. The pho is huge though! Overall I thought it wasn't bad, not sure it's my favorite but reasonably priced bowl of pho in Seattle. I thought it was maybe a little oily and wanted more flavor but not bad. I also thought it was funny they pre gave us the sauces which I didn't like but when I asked for the whole sauce bottle they were happy to give me. I was excited to try this place when i saw their menu. I got the big rib pho and it was so oily :'). There was a whole layer of oil, even after trying to scoop it out to another bowl, the broth was still oily. The broth is also on the saltier side. Other than that the pho would've been more delicious. The ribs were so tender! We came in on a weekend and it wasn't busy. We waited at the front area to be seated for a while, but the waiters were just standing around the bar area and weren't busy..so eventually we just decided to seat ourselves. Not sure if that's what was supposed to happen. The interior is pretty! It's a nice place for bigger parties and has great ambiance. They had a lot of viet foods you don't really see at other viet places around here on their menu, so I would come back to try something else read more

Although I've dined here in person and had an excellent meal, this review is more for the time I got pho takeout. I was really craving some pho one night last week and decided to order the beef pho from here. I have to say they did a fantastic job of packing it up for an at-home experience. All the aromatics, meat, and noodles were separated, and the broth came piping hot. All I had to do was find a large bowl to throw all of it in together and I got a fragrant bowl of fresh made pho right at home. If I could wish for anything better about the experience, it would be that they would let patrons bring our own Tupperware. It felt like a shame to get everything so nicely packed up in takeout containers, but in the end I tossed them (because I've hoarded enough plastic reusable takeout containers already thankyou). This place has the best pho in Seattle in my opinion, and while I haven't gotten their banh mi yet, the price looks great and I can't wait to order one soon! read more

I ordered take out bun bo hue from their website via Clover for lunch. It was estimated 30 min for my order to be ready for pick up, but I got the ready for pick up text well before 30 min which was great. My food was packaged up great, with soup filled to the brim in one container, cooked noodles and meat in a separate container, and a separate baggie of cabbage, Thai basil, hot sauce, lime, and jalapeños. I do wish the to go order also came with hoisin to dip my meat in. Now onto the food, this bun bo hue was just alright. I was disappointed when I opened my noodle and meat container to find pho noodles and only three kinds of meat - tendon, some kind of beef cut, and Vietnamese ham. No pork hock, meatballs, or pork blood. I was really craving the thicker, chewy noodles, and I noted that the website had the option to opt for pho noodles instead, but I didn't choose that option so I was surprised and this change wasn't communicated to me. The broth was also lacking some lemongrass and was slightly too sweet for my liking. For $17, this bun bo hue was lacking and disappointing and I will not be getting bun bo hue here again. The reviews seem promising for their pho. I will likely come back due to how close and convenience this place is to me, so I will try the pho another time. read more

this place is brand new in seattle! a group of 18 of us came in for sunday lunch. I called ahead to make sure there was space and the staff was able to accommodate us easily. we all ordered a variety of dishes. I personally got the Bo Ne - a beef and eggs breakfast skillet dish, and we added truffle to our fried. it was delicious, especially with the sauce on the beef pieces. I also got a small bowl of Beef Pho Broth and that was so yummy. food did not take long at all to come out. staff was friendly and attentive. would def recommend! read more

This place juuust opened up on Madison and are currently in their soft opening. It's family owned and ran. The food is soooooo good. I love that they have vietnamese dishes that you dont typically see at other places. The bo ne is 5/5! The meat is so juicy and tender and the flavor panel of the entire dish is so good. The baguette is perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The paté was also so so good. The mi xao gion is also suuuper yummy! The crunch of the noodles is so unique. The interior is so cute and I love the vibes. The workers are so friendly and attentive and the food came out pretty fast! I have been living in Seattle last 3.5 years and I feel like a place like Saigon Oi was missing. Tried here couple months after opening. The ambience blends modern design with classic Vietnamese vibes--like that charming Vespa at the entrance. The staff was Super friendly and helpful. The food was so fresh! Their bánh mì with pâté and house-made jambon was authentic and delicious--maybe just a tad less carrot next time. The pho? Incredible! Steak on the bone and a surprise bone marrow with truffle seasoning, which they torch tableside--so unique! Save some bread to pair with that marrow. And those fish sauce chicken wings? It was a chilly Seattle evening and my fiancé and I were craving pho! We saw Saigon Ơi recently opened near us and decided to check it out. We were greeted immediately and were seated quickly. We were the only table in there at 5PM, but as our meal went on it got quite busy. We ordered the salt/pepper chicken wings - highly recommend! The wings were flavorful with the best crunch and juicy inside. The pho broth is really good! I didn't feel the need to add a bunch of hoisin or sriracha to it. My fiancé did mention the broth was a bit oily for him. The chicken wings were $15 and our bowls of pho were $19 each. We'll have to come back to try more items on the menu! read more

Saigon Oi has good food, but definitely has some issues to work out with service before they're fully ready for the primetime. We came for dinner on a Saturday night, and were seated at a two top in about ten minutes. They have a waiting area with about four stool-style seats right by the door. There doesn't seem to be an actual list or designated host/hostess, just the memory of one of the staff, so kudos to their memories, although I can see that becoming a bit chaotic if things were to get really busy. They came to get our order within about fifteen seconds of us sitting down, and after we said we needed a minute, no one checked on us again. About ten minutes later we had to wave down someone different to take our order. After putting in our order, it took about half an hour for our food to arrive, which is...a long time. I get the sense that they are not prioritizing dine in orders over takeout orders, which doesn't make any sense, because takeout orders aren't taking up space in the restaurant. While we were sitting there waiting for our food, we saw multiple parties walk away due to not wanting to wait for a table. Business-wise, it just doesn't make sense to not prioritize dine in orders, because you can turn over tables much quicker that way, and you also avoid having hangry diners. Some of the tables, including ours that night, are so close to the door that every time someone enters or exits the restaurant you get hit with a very cold draft, which frankly made for a pretty unpleasant temperature for much of the evening. Once our food came, though, all was good. The spring rolls are pretty standard, nothing to write home about but no complaints. We actually tried their mega-baller pho (the Saigon Oi Pho on the menu), which has pieces of filet mignon in the broth, a huge beef rib, and a side of truffle-topped torched bone marrow. The pho broth is reaaaally nice, although a bit oilier than expected. The filet mignon is tender, as you'd expect. The beef rib is incredibly tender, although not quite tender enough to fall completely off the bone, which means you basically cannot eat this gracefully. You must submit and pick up the bone and eat like a cave knave. The marrow is delicious, but hilariously they don't give you a small enough spoon to actually scoop it out effectively, so you end up awkwardly scooping it out with your huge thick soup spoon and your chopsticks. Also, props to Saigon Oi, for being very generous with their noodles. The vegetable pho is also good, with one of the better veggie broths my vegetarian husband and I have tried. Overall, we will definitely visit again, but the flow of service and need for better attention to details keep it from being a favorite. read more

We ordered the fried shrimp banh mi bites with sweet chili sauce. EXCELLENT! We had a party of four: two of our party ordered the combination pho (Poh Dac Biet). SUPERB! One of our party ordered the Pork Banh Mi! OUT OF SIGHT! And I ordered the combination rice vermicelli dish. BROKE DA MOUTH (Hawaii slang for super-delicious)!!! It had to be the best rice vermicelli dish I have ever had at a Vietnamese restaurant. The woven noodles is a very practical concept that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's so hard to find decent Vietnamese restaurants nowadays in WA. I gave it a try when I heard that this is a new opening restaurant in Seattle. The ambience was cozy and brought me back to the old time in Sai Gon. The staff were extremely polite and attentive. All dishes I ordered were very good and not over priced. Pho broth and the Bun Bo Hie broth were authentic and no filler (MSG & premade seasoning paste). Bo La Lot were fragrant with spices and moist. The Ca Phe Sua Da had the right amount of condensed milk and not too sweet. Food was served a bit slow. This can be forgive for such a brand new restaurant. I am sure they are still on the leaning curve and will adjust accordingly. Overall, my family and I had a great meal. Will definitely come back! I hope this restaurant will continue to remain or improve if any the quality of their food in the future. Most Vietnamese restaurants skimmed back their menu and the quality of the food after a couple years once they are recognized well enough. read more

I don't know what was better the food, the vibe, or the service. We live around the corner and I think this is our new favorite spot. I've lived in Seattle most of my life so I've had quite a few Vietnamese spots and this is probably the best vermicelli, some of the freshest bread on the banh mi and an incredible pho broth that I'll order to go any time I'm sick. The staff is either part of the family or asked to work here because they ate here once and never wanted to leave. We were walked through every dish and loved every minute! read more

We just ate at Saigon Oi and it was absolutely fabulous! Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The steak was cooked perfectly -- one of those rare times where they truly nailed it -- and the rice was light, flavorful, and clearly well made. Nothing felt heavy or overdone. The wine list was great, and the beer was ice-cold and incredibly refreshing -- exactly what you want with this kind of food. The staff was also fantastic. Everyone was hustling, attentive, and clearly cared about what they were doing. It's hard to open a place and be this dialed in right out of the gate, but they absolutely nailed it.
