Totally tasty. After a disappointing lunch, this dish hit the spot. Ordered Thai basil spicy and it was delicious. Great quantity, had to pack left overs. My group of 3 all enjoyed their meals. Panang beef curry was great, crying tiger was a good with the meal. Complimentary cucumber water comes in stainless steel cups, good news to all my fellow oilers. Customer service was very pleasant. It is a little warm at 6:30, but with the nice breeze coming through it was perfect. Started getting packed about 7. This will be added to places to eat in gilroy. Try it today! read more

3.5 Good prices for kids meals between $3-5. The kids satay was really thin white had me worried, but it was actually super flavorful and moist even before any doing sauce. Lumpia turned out kinda tiny, but tasty. Some of the ingredients are less traditional, like broccoli and carrots for the pad see ew and chicken breast instead of ground pork for the larb, but the flavors are all on point. And besides, my kids prefer broccoli and carrots so it works out haha. The chicken in the larb was a little dry but the satay was really tender. Tom kha was a good standard Tom kha. I'd eat here again if in the area after a day in Gilroy. read more

I wasn't walking in with high expectations but I was open to giving this place a try. The service was great, I ordered take out and I appreciated the friendly efficient service I was provided. The food was fine, but not extraordinary. Of my order the best part was the pad Thai that was prepared the way I like it. Overall, I am open to going back, but this doesn't make my top tier list. read more

Just picked up my $65.00 order and it was terrible . Both meat entrees were dry AF as in OLD/not freshly cooked..waste of money and I hope I don't get sick from tasting it. At least the spring rolls had moisture but were average at best. Buyer be ware read more

Went into this little spot and I am glad I did... It was super good and really hit the spot, way better then fast food. Ordered the Crab Rangoon and failed to look at what was inside it. CURRY. Yellow Crab Rangoon was for sure diffrent. Not a deal breaker as it was really good. For the meal ordered the Cashew Chicken. It was great, exploding with flavor. One thing that was cool is you can perty much order anything with what ever protein you would like in it. Servers were very attentive and food was served hot and fast. Look forward to trying more on the menu in the future. read more

As of now, it is one of the few restaurants with Thai/Viet food in Gilroy, so this will do the trick if you are craving that! 1. Roti with Curry Dipping Sauce 2/5 The roti was not very flaky and came out very oily. The curry dipping sauce was more watery (not very creamy) and did not have a very strong curry flavor. 2. Pineapple Fried Rice 3.5/5 The dish was pretty tasty with big chunks of pineapple and was probably the best item we ordered. All the other dishes had small portions but this dish had a lot more rice than we expected! 3. Drunken Noodle 3/5 The noodles tasted fine but they were slightly oily and the flavoring mostly came from soy sauce (I think...) Portion was on the smaller side. 4. Pho Noodle Soup 2/5 The broth was not as rich as I would have liked, which meant the dish tasted bland. Noodle portion was on the smaller side. made a quick lunch stop here on our way to slo. food did not disappoint. we had crispy roti - great flaky consistency with curry dip which i felt could be thicker, spring rolls w tofu - an utter delight packed with more veggies than noodles with flavorful peanut sauce, and spicy chix banh mi - the chix was just the right amount of spiciness, bread was a bit on the soft side, but tasty altogether. 3 stars coz service was slow and missing :) had to ask for plates after our food arrived - we waited thinking she was getting them but... she never checked on us if we needed anything. i had to get our own water i thought it was self-service but when she saw me, she apologized and asked me to go back to my table and she delivered our water. to get our check, i had to get someone's attention from behind the counter. and again had to flag someone to take my credit card after waiting 10 minutes! this is a small place with maybe 10 tables, and only 2 tables had customers (including us). maybe it's their normal pace but considering this is a very touristy area...if the place was packed i might have given them 4 stars. i would come back to try other things on their menu and hope i get better service next time! read more

Came here for first time tonight. Some of the best Thai food I've had. Ordered Drunken Noodles with chicken, very tasty, lots of chicken, perfectly spiced. Massaman Curry, lots of perfect moist chicken, ordered medium spice - next will order spicy. The Crab Rangoons were large, filled with cream cheese and Krab We will be back next month when we drive to Gilroy to buy husband's train ticket at Walgreens. We want to explore other menu items. Oooh we did not care For this place! I guess we didn't know that their bbq chicken would come out red (red seasoning) and the kids did not want to try it. The pad see ew had a tangy taste (maybe it was tamarind) instead of the regular sweet after taste. So that was sorta confusing. We also order a beef Saigon pho and it was just ok. They were very generous with beef portions. It Didn't taste bad but didn't stand out. I don't think we would go back but Gilroy doesn't have many pho places. read more

Stopped here during my drive from LA back to the Bay. Cheap Thai and Vietnamese food in Gilroy why not? The place was packed when we arrived, but they offer to seat us outside which we didn't mind since the weather was nice. The waiter and waitress were quite attentive to us even though they were a bit busy. We ordered beef Pad See Ew, Shrimp and Pineapple Curry, and Crying Tiger Beef. All of the portions were good sized and the dishes were also about $11 and under as well. Overall, great Thai food. This is probably one of the first and best Thai spot in Gilroy to visit. read more

The restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. It's a somewhat tight fit inside with seating indoors and outdoors. There is also an all gender one stall bathroom for guests. They were super accommodating to our large party and quickly cleared a table for us. The service and pricing was overall great! We tried many items on the menu and our only complaints was the food. Some dishes were somewhat cold and you can tell it was clearly reheated. The pork belly used in the bahn mi and spring rolls was very dry and certainly not fresh. The vermicelli salad was also very dry with the small portion of sauce provided and lacked flavor. We did find the Saigon salad and pad thai particularly good and would highly recommend these options. read more

The pad thai is so sweet... but why is it pink? We also ordered a won ton... even more pink... We are assuming the pork had some red dyes in it, but it was not visually appealing at all. Staff were nice, the water with cucumber and lemon is delicious. We all ordered boba smoothies, and some Thai teas... not the greatest, but we have definitely had worse. The saving grace was the rice based dishes, but as a Filipina I can say it was the worst lumpia I've had. The fry the thinner lumpia shanghai but cut it in half and over cook it. The ends were burnt and the portion is tiny. We will give it another try and hope for some soups without pink broth... read more

Cute little place tucked more inland in Gilroy. Thai and Vietnamese dishes. I believe the cooks and staff are Thai, as they are speaking Thai. Portions are large. Got the spicy eggplant, four stars. The taste is good, a bit too watery and the eggplant was a bit disappointing. Chicken was cooked pretty well and the spices. The pad Thai was good as well, classic. Nothing went wrong Got the appetizer, lumpia, okay taste but could pass next time. Staff Chris, was efficient and made sure we had everything we needed! read more

Love this little place so much. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew is a blast. If you love spicy very much, tell them to make it in the Thai spicy. It will be burning for someone else, so don't do it if you eat mild. The crab fried rice and pineapple fried rice are nice as well. Don't forget to add a Thai tea. read more

I don't know why I've never written a review for this place because this is our favorite Thai restaurant! The food is always delicious and consistent. No shade to Pineapple Village but one day we craved thai food but they Saigon bistro was closed and had to go to Pineapple Village.. when I tell you we were so disappointed that it wasn't flavorful like Saigon Bistro... So sad!! Of course we went to Saigon Bistro the next week to satisfy our craving. I love the pad Thai here cause it has that sweetness of tamarind/brown sugar at the perf level. The spicy fried rice (basil fried rice) was so addicting every bite. Their pineapple fried rice is great too. LOVE their Tom yum. You can tell they simmer their soup in ginger, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, etc, real ingredients!! Their Thai tea is also perf ratio of Thai tea and half/half. I don't like mine toooo creamy/milky so this place did it right. The service is also always very friendly and attentive. If I could eat Thai food every week without gaining weight, I'd come here every week. I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!! read more

Service was best part, the waitress was nice and attentive. I love Thai food so I have been spoiled by some super delicious Thai restaurants and this just didn't quite hit the mark for me. We started with Roti and shrimp rolls. The shrimp rolls were good but really tiny and the roti was not my favorite, kind of tasted like a cross between roti and a tortilla. I prefer them to be more moist then crispy. My son had the spicy saTe pho noodle soup and he said it was more sweet then spicy. I had the Tom kha which wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. Thanks Yelp for helping me find this little place! I'm a big fan of both Thai and Vietnamese food and it's great to have somewhere tasty to eat when I'm visiting family in Gilroy. We have been going here almost weekly for the last 2 years and never have been disappointed. The service has always been attentive and friendly and the food comes out quickly. It does get busy at times, especially on the weekends, but that's just a testament of how great a place it is. I've tried many items from both menus: From the Vietnamese menu, my favorites are the Pho, with either chicken or the combo. The broth is delicious by itself, but when I want a little kick to it, I just ad a packet of housin sauce and siracha. The chicken Pho, is a god send when feeling under the weather. Their banh mi's are also pretty good. I normally go with the grilled pork or spicy chicken. It's overflowing with meat, and definitely worth it, compared to small sandwiches from Lees. It's enough to share with the wifey if I'm not too hungry. The sate pho is also phenomenal. I never knew I would like spicy food until I tried it. It's already extremely flavorful and don't really have to mess with it compared to the regular pho. The Thai food is also very good! My all time favorite would be both the Thai basil with ground pork and fried egg or the drunken noodle. Both have a little kick to them, I normally go with medium spicy to be on the safe side. All the curry dishes have been pretty good, although sometimes a little bit on the sweet side. The kids love the shanghai lumpias. I normally need to order 2 because I end up eating a few pieces myself. The sweet and spicy sauce it's paired with is delicious. Today I was in the mood for something a little meatier, so I ordered the Thai BBQ combo. It had a quarter portion of Thigh an leg meat and large portion of Chinese bbq pork. Both were very good, I stuffed myself silly and still had lots of leftover for my work lunch. Again, can't say enough good things about Saigon 2 Siam. We had a mixed experience at Saigon 2. The entrees were fantastic-- we ordered the pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles, which came out hot and tasted authentic and delicious. The portions were generous, with a good amount of veggies and tofu, making it a satisfying meal. However, we also tried the banh mi sandwich, and it was quite different from what we're used to. The bread was soft, and while the veggies were fresh, they weren't pickled, and it only had mayonnaise. It didn't match the traditional banh mi experience, which was a bit disappointing. The service was friendly, but they kept the front door open, which allowed a chilly breeze inside, especially later in the evening. Overall my review is four stars for service and for the food ordered at lunch - fresh spring rolls and chicken satay. Lunch was great. Love the water that is infused with cucumber and lime. Love the peanut sauce served with both items. I returned in the evening, ordering a "to go" of banh mi sandwiches, one bbq pork and the other grilled chicken. I was very disappointed in the sandwiches. The bread was a soft French roll, not a crispy French roll that it is usually served on. The pickled vegetables were cucumber and carrots. There was no daikon radish present which is usually also served. The bbq pork was well prepared. The chicken was very salty and just ok. I would not order these sandwiches from here again. When we return we'll try a curry, noodle dish, or perhaps the Kim chee fried rice. read more

I recently dined at this Vietnamese-Thai restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the delightful culinary experience it offered. The food was really good. Moreover, the service was impeccable, with the staff displaying genuine warmth and attentiveness throughout our meal. The best part? The prices were incredibly fair for the quality and quantity of food provided. However, there is limited space, which resulted in some wait times due to the restaurant's popularity. Nevertheless, I believe expanding to a larger and more accommodating space would allow more customers to savor the fantastic cuisine and stellar service this establishment has to offer. Y'all hyped this shit up to much on yelp this is not no 4.5 stars it's a 1/5 i tasted little to no flavor in everything not to mention my food was cold the prices were outrageously high for low quality food. Ps. the fumes in the air were crazy they burned my eyes i looked up and my daughter was crying. The server came up to us and asked us if it was because the food was good and she started crying more , we had to leave. The bill came out to $68 for two people and we didn't even order drinks... to make matters worse the water was infused with metal, i wouldn't be surprised if it was straight out of the toilet. I come here every week and each time the food is very consistently delicious. I am Thai and I truly believe this restaurant is authentic enough. They have real Thai cooks! I really get upset when other yelpers tell other people to go "try out real authentic Asian restaurants over places like these." How can you say it is not authentic enough? I must admit, it took me ages to finally give this place a try, and now I regret not coming sooner! Nestled in a small rectangle within this shopping center, it's always bustling, especially during dinner hours. The food here is outstanding, and I've become a huge fan of their curries. Pair them with a side of white rice for a delightful combination. While everything else on the menu is equally impressive, there's one minor hiccup - getting water refills can be a bit challenging at times. I first ordered the rice plate with grilled pork, which is usually a standard dish and fairly consistent between most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. I don't know what is going on in this kitchen or what kind of recipes they use, but this was honestly the worst tasting pork I've ever had (I couldn't eat more than 2 bites). Also, there was more fat than meat, and this wasn't pork belly. I kindly asked to try the bbq pork instead (which is supposed to be marinated). This was just as awful. This place is my favorite place to eat in town. They have great service and the management works hard to make sure you enjoy your food. The prices are great and I keep going back at least 1-2 times a week. It's small and intimate and they offer many incentives and discounts. They also hold many community fundraisers which is great for a small business. The spicy pho soup with chicken #7 is my favorite along with the crying tiger. Their sampler with crab is awesome. I have eaten here a few times and I really liked it but today I ordered and my food had this over burnt flavor to it. The noodles were all mashed up like it was leftover from previous day. Been comming here for already 9 years since I moved to gilroy. Their pho is pretty good(not the best) but for gilroy its ok. I need to try something else different but im afraid I might not like it. The spring rolls are ok. I like there water they serve with lemon lime flavor. Restaurant looks nice and clean. As for the servers its a hit and miss. BUT OVER ALL ITS A 4 STAR IN MY BOOK. read more

Apple pay accepted Saigon is located in a plaza and offers a lot of plaza parking. I love this place! The food is good and comes in good portion sizes....I ususlly order the Massaman curry with chicken,Pad thai with shrimp,Spicy tomyum noodle soup. Everything I've tried so far is yummy! I stopped by this place while visiting Gilroy and what a treat. First of all, the staff treated us as if we were family. But as we all know, the food is what counts. This place delivered in spades. Had a variety of dishes; yellow curry, vermicelli bowl, pad thai, crab rangoon, salad, fresh and fried spring rolls. Everything was tasty and there was a generous portion of meat in the curry. The only thing that takes my review down a star was the fried spring rolls which tasted like they were a prepared frozen item. read more

We walked in and no one was there to greet us. We stood there for a while and decided to take a seat at a table. My partner mentioned that the carpet was dirty and did not look clean. We ordered salmon nigiri, baked scallop rolls, salmon avocado hand roll, crazy monkey roll, sunrise roll, spicy salmon roll and a glass of Chardonnay. It was quite a wait for the sushi but it was worth it. Everything was authentic and delicious. My favorite rolls were the baked scallop roll and crazy monkey roll. Baked sushi rolls and deep fried rolls are always so flavorful and scrumptious especially these. Sunrise roll was unique and bold with flavors. My one huge gripe though I had was the price point particularly the bento boxes and the special rolls were more pricier than I expected. Since the restaurant is located in Gilroy I expected the price point to be much more fair and on par with the sushi restaurants in Morgan Hill.
