Ooof I don't like giving 1 star review but this deserves it. We were looking for a quick lunch and got 2 pho + 1 egg rolls & a kumquat slush that they recommended. Everything was mediocre, although the service was good. We finished our meal and took the unfinished slush to go, and I was just chewing on the bits of kumquat inside the drink when I FOUND A PIECE OF NAIL Holy shit that was so gross. 2/11/2026

Nice cozy restaurant in old town Monrovia. Good portion and delicious. Plenty of green onions that I love! Soup is hot the way I prefer. Attentive service !

Saigon Avenue is hands down one of our absolute favorite places to eat. The pho is phenomenal, rich, comforting, perfectly balanced, and consistently some of the best I've ever had. Today I tried the grilled beef spring rolls for the first time and... wow. Easily the best I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly grilled, and packed with so much goodness in every bite. I can tell already that I'm going to be craving these again tomorrow! What truly makes this place special (on top of the incredible food) is the service. The staff is always so warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in, every single time.

Very traditional and community rooted. This family restaurant knows what it takes to carry-on they been around for years. I just wish they would allow requested combinations or additives. For example....I wanted tofu and vegetables in my fried rice ... I was told they couldn't do that. It's either one or the other not combining. Service is very attentive and friendly.

I wouldn't come here again.... Maybe for the pomegranate chia lemonade but that's it. I was surprised the place was empty on a Saturday night. But whatever, the place looks cute from the outside, it has good reviews...why not? First off, the place has an off putting smell. Our server was very nice and friendly. We sat in the front by the window. The table was very sticky and greasy. Not cute anymore. The soup selection was limited. With the option to add additional protein and veggie toppings. I was disappointed when I didn't see tendon as one of the options. We ordered 2 Supremes. And 2 orders of pork spring rolls and 2 pomegranate chia lemonades. The rolls came out first with a pre packaged serving of a sauce. Huh?!I was expecting peanut sauce. I asked for peanut sauce. They did t have any. Again, huh?! Anyway, spring rolls tasted off. The soup was just ok. Service was great. But unfortunately my experience was not a good one. It wasn't terrible either, but I just wouldn't come back. As I leave my review I see they are temporarily closed. I wonder why ..

I ordered the pork bahn mi and loved it! The meat is crispy and savory and the veggies are super fresh and flavorful. Quick service and a happy vibe. Will def return and try the pho in person since pho is always best eaten in person!

Always amazing! Food is always piping hot and fresh and service is always super super quick. I love coming here for lunch or dinner. I'd recommend the filet mignon pho or rare steak pho along with any type of spring roll! The Thai tea is also super good too :)

Tasty pho and fast service. The pho taste was pretty standard and delicious. I went on New Years Day and it was open still which was very nice. Perfect for a chilly day. The shop is a little small but roomy enough with available seating.

The food is excellent! I have had their egg rolls, beef pho, pork banh-mi sandwiches with fried egg (and without twice) and Vietnamese coffee. This is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant for the Arcadia/Monrovia area. The interior is dated. But the service is excellent and he always has a smile on his face. He is super friendly! The restaurant is located on a small side street off Myrtle in downtown Monrovia. There is free street parking all around. The pho noodles are flavorful and comforting . The egg rolls are crunchy and you can adjust the sweetness level for the ice coffee. I also love their sandwiches. Overall, the food is consistently good.

Went to Saigon Ave for lunch and we shared a couple of dishes. We started with the pomegranate lemonade w/ chia seeds and the drink was perfectly sweetened, and very refreshing. We ordered the pork spring rolls, the shaking beef banh mi, and the pork vermicelli. All the dishes were very tasty, no complaints. We would definitely return again. The service was very friendly and the restaurant has a nice warm welcoming feel.

    Disgusting unacceptable

Okay so I'll be the first to admit -- this place has been sitting right under my nose for who knows…read morehow long and somehow I never made it in. Honestly? Embarrassing. Moving on. So yeah, it's another Vietnamese spot in Rosemead. And before you say anything -- yes, it's a pho review. Again. Look, I don't make the rules, I just eat the soup. This place does something a little different though. Their thing is the earth stone bowl -- basically a heated stone bowl that keeps your broth stupid hot while all your toppings come on the side in separate little dishes. Cool concept, very extra, I respect the commitment. But here's the thing -- it was hot outside. Like uncomfortably, aggressively, why-am-I-outside hot. So sweating over a volcanic bowl of soup wasn't exactly on my agenda. I went with the regular bowl, picked two types of beef and tendon, and called it a day. First sip of the broth and I genuinely had to put the spoon down for a second. Not in a dramatic way -- just in a "okay, this is actually really good" kind of way. It holds up against every other spot I've been to, no question. But what got me was the flavor -- there's something subtle going on in there that's hard to put your finger on but impossible to ignore. The kind of broth that just works and doesn't need to explain itself. The toppings were solid, but the tendon was lowkey the highlight. Soft, chewy, not rubbery -- exactly what you want. Some places fumble the tendon. These guys didn't. Iced tea on the side, Saturday afternoon, nothing else going on -- honestly doesn't get much better than that. Should've come here sooner. My loss.

A coworker who loves this place recommended it - otherwise, I would have never known about it…read morebecause when I think Vietnamese food, Little Saigon (Westminster) automatically comes to mind. Not that this place is any closer but now I know of it in case I'm around and craving it. Starting with parking - I guess there's a lot behind but I parked on the residential side street. It was free and I didn't see any restrictions (signs). There's street parking on the main drag but I'm not a fan of trying to park or pull out when cars are doing freeway speeds on surface streets. Walked in and immediately seated. Glad I got there when I did because shortly after I was seated, the crowd hit and diners were standing waiting for a seat. I got there before the lunch crowd. It's my first time and it was on a Sunday so I can't tell you what their peak times are. Call and ask or chat with a regular. Service was find. When needed, I waved someone down. Typical service I expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. As for the food, I ordered too much. I ended up taking a bunch home, mostly the rolls. I don't like soup to go. Noodles would have gotten too soggy ... But I enjoyed it to the point I know I'll go back. The broth hit me on the first sip. It felt like a punch of flavor that woke up my taste buds in a really good way. I took several sips before putting my Pho together to start eating. At other places, I'm used to getting a portion of how many rolls were served here. I ended up eating half of each, taking the rest home. I like that they were balanced with ingredients - I wasn't looking whether something was missing or not. I could tell with each bite. I really enjoyed this place and I only wish it was closer.

We tried a little bit of everything and this place makes me appreciate the versatility of Vietnamese cuisine. Today I got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl and my partner the banh mi. The bbq meats are very tasty and they use fresh veggies that give it the crunch factor. The portions are huge so I usually only eat about half. They also have good banh xeo, bun bo hue, nem rolls, and much more. We are usually creatures of comfort but have branched out to try new things here!! Another thing is they have a good selection of draft beers. I usually can't find Japan's Hitachino beers ON DRAFT so it's my go-to here.

Only downside is the line and to be honest, I would not stand in line for this restaurant but my aunt really wanted to come here for the bun mam. The rib itself is 4/10, if 5/10 meant acceptable. I ONLY recommend this spot if you're on your lunch break and gotta stay in the area for work. Otherwise, you should make the drive to eat better.
