Living down the street I often bring my pot from home for them to use instead of the plastic broth take out tubs, which I'm certain they're food grade but I simply rather not heat up plastic for my little ones. The server is very friendly, gracious & accommodating. The restaurant's ambiance is perfect for large group/family dine in. Their food suitable with a minor arrangement for takeout. Nothing beats warm bowl of chicken pho at home during movie night Their beef sandwiches & platters are great but of course so is their Pho. Visiting from San Francisco for work, my husband and I absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing, everything was very clean, and the service was excellent--all at great prices. What we appreciated the most was the comfortable space they gave us to truly enjoy our meal. We ordered the beef soup, chicken over rice, and shrimp and pork spring rolls--everything was delicious! Located in Arcadia in a center with a lot of options. Plenty of parking available. Came here during lunch time and they were busy but staff were tentative with getting a table for you. They have a lot of options on their menu. I've been here before and their pho is good. Decided to try their shaking beef dish (com bo luc lac) and their red bean dessert. Shaking beef dish - came out on a sizzling plate. Flavors were good and it's best to eat this as soon as it hits your table. Only downside of it being on a hot plate is the meat gets overcooked as you let it sit. Good serving size of rice and good pickled veggies. There was broth that came with and it was HOT! Love when the broth is hot and not lukewarm. I think it's the same broth for their pho; good flavor. Red Bean Dessert with Coconut Milk - can't go wrong here. We tried Pho Ha today and overall I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. I ordered the #1 small pho, which was actually a pretty decent portion size. The broth definitely gets the job done when you're craving Vietnamese pho, and for a local pho spot it's somewhat solid. That said, living in the San Gabriel Valley means there's some really amazing pho out there, and unfortunately the broth here just didn't stand out compared to some of the better spots nearby. My husband ordered the roasted chicken with red fried rice, and he absolutely devoured it, so that was definitely a win. Service was minimal as the waiter came by to take our order and drop off the food, and that was pretty much it. We personally didn't need anything else, so it wasn't a huge issue, but it's worth mentioning. Overall, it's a decent local option when you need to satisfy a pho craving close to home, and we'll probably be back in a pinch. My friend and I were grossed out and wanted to leave immediately. I had gotten a pho with steak while my friend just got a veggie pho. Went inside and got seated by the front and just ordered my usually pho item when I go to any pho place: the Pho Dac Biet All in all, this was just a typical pho place for me. I was born and raised in Gardena, where the pho scene is pretty competitive there so coming to this Pho Ha didn't stand out. Beef slices were good, the brisket was a bit chewy, and the tendon could've been a bit softer. Maybe me coming in at about 1030 means these these may not have been fully braised yet? Egg rolls come out crunchy with dipping sauce, carrots, radish, mint. cilantro and lettuce. For a plate of four it's slightly pricey. Came to Pho Ha several times for lunch. There's plenty of parting, and the restaurant has plenty of tables. I never had to wait. The service is attentive and the menu has a variety of choices. I love the cooked beef pho. The broth is good and it has plenty of pho noodles and beef slices. They are generous of the side veggies. The pricing is very reasonable. On a rainy SoCal evening I was craving some Pho, so I headed here to try the Pho Ga. While the chicken was good, the broth was a little bland. The sprouts and basil were fine. Service was quick to the point of feeling a bit rushed when we kept on being asked if we were ready to order without having time to look at the menu. This should be the standard greeting because this is what the unskilled, unprofessional, lazy, indifferent staff will tell you that when you ask them why they have not taken your order, or why they did not bring drinks, or why iced tea refills demand a buzzer push, or why you can't get water, and so on. Even by Vietnamese restaurant service standards, this is the absolute worst place to visit. The staff "runs" the place for themselves, meaning they are behind the counter gossiping. They can look straight at you and not acknowledge you waving them over. The dragon lady, the one with them iPhone glued to her nose is a family member with the attitude of an indentured servant. She really really really does not care. She sits next to the register because her father /uncle /cousin /brother/husband told her that is her place to sit. Period. The little man with the glasses may actually be there by accident because he is constantly confused when you place an order with him and only get some of your order. He apparently has never had a job and is determined to never have a job. Because he doesn't have a job now. He's just visiting. This is truly a bizarre family operation with the poorest, least interested staff in the SGV, and perhaps in all of North America. I suspect they must also be getting welfare, and food stamps, and WIC, since THEY REALLY AND TRULY DO NOT CARE TO WORK. This restaurant defies the common wisdom that Vietnamese people are hard working, striving people. These folks are impostors. They are lazy. I don't know. Maybe it's some sort of front operation for some nefarious actions. Money laundering? Drugs? Massage "therapy", Gina for the IRA, underground msg shipments to local places have "no added msg, ripoff copies of movies on cd, fake sunglasses, etc. It's got to be something since there's employees are waiting and waiting and waiting for the next chapter of there directionless lives. There are not working. Don't go. Not even for the food. If you have any dignity or pride in yourself you must choose not to walk in the door of whatever this bizarre front operation must be. The pho was pretty good but it had so much fat in there. The fried fish was really good though we really enjoyed that. The service was ok also, very quick and to the point but still nice. The restaurant was also very nice with cute music that was relaxing to listen to while eating. We come here often as it's super close to our house and in the same plaza as my nail salon. We were greeted by a nasty jerk of a server who told my friend and I at 8:20 that they were closing at 9 and it would be better if we left. I will never return to this restaurant. Located in downtown Arcadia, why are the ratings so low. This is very good pho. Perhaps the floor was a little dirty with sauce, but that's ok. Coming from San Diego, this place is better than most Pho restaurants in San Diego! Service is quick and friendly. I also lived in LA for 30+ years, and used to come here for lunch. Its good value, slightly home style, beef was so tender, more ligament/tendons even for Pho Chin. The broth is solid. This hit the spot after my 6 hours dentist visit. I've seen this pho pho place every time I drive by Huntington drive but finally decided to try it out. It wasn't what I expected. We tried 2 pho tais. Their soup broth was lacking in flavor, the noodles were a bit undercooked and their cuts of meat were pretty bad. The meat was so tough to chew through. Parking can be difficult in the plaza as there are so many other random businesses and eateries (including Oops Boba, Ben Gong's Tea and Lan Noodle). My husband and I came here this past Saturday with a friend to have dinner. We walked in around 6:35 pm and were seated right away. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: #45 Goi Cuon, $10.45 prior to tax- Spring rolls with shrimp and pork. This is a common spring roll that I usually order when I dine at Vietnamese restaurants. This order came with 4 rolls. I think for the price, this was fair. This is a perfect option to order to share or as a meal for yourself. This dish is served with a side of peanut sauce. It was good and my mom enjoyed the leftover rolls I brought home for her. #50 Nem Cuon, $10.45 prior to tax- Charbroiled pork spring rolls, another usual that I may order at a Vietnamese restaurant. I actually like this more than the style of spring rolls. This also came in a set of 4 rolls and a large side of peanut sauce. This was also very good. I also brought home one roll for my mom, in which she also loved. #49A Banh Beo, $10.95 prior to tax- I love these steamed rice cakes that are topped with fried garlic, onions, mung bean paste and toasted shredded dried shrimp. If this is on the menu, I will always order this. This order came with 8 rice cakes. This was the last item that was brought to our table, as it does take time to make these. These steamed rice cakes were perfect for me. #01 Large Dac Biet Pho, $14.95 prior to tax- My husband decided to order a large but regretted it, lol. He said he should have ordered the smaller size since the smaller size is still a pretty large portion. But he did like the broth and appreciated that it wasn't salty like other Pho restaurants that we have gone to. I thought the broth was pretty good as well. I also thought the noodles were good (I only had a small amount since I wanted to eat my own items that I ordered). #01 Small Dac Biet Pho, $13.95 prior to tax- Our friend ordered this and thought it was delicious and more than enough for him to eat. ----------------------------- (Total= $66.43 after tax, prior to tip) I honestly am surprised of how good this restaurant is and wished we had tried this place sooner. This is in a very busy plaza. There's a parking structure in the back. There's lots of seating and tables at this restaurant. There's also a huge variety of Vietnamese food to munch on. I have eaten a lot of Vietnamese food in different restaurant in SGV. Pho Ha is definitely a very mediocre restaurant. The food is very bland. And it really doesn't taste very good. We ordered the charbroiled pork roll (similar the summer rolls special). But the tastes is so much worse than summer rolls. The rolls are very small in size. The pork texture is ok, taste bland. Very very little veggie. I also ordered the BBQ pork with vermicelli. This is pure disappointing. The pork doesn't feel like real BBQ at all, feel more like pan fried. The sauce that they gave doesn't really work well together. Vermicelli felt slightly over cooked. And the house special pho is the MOST disappointing one. The beef is not that fresh, the soup is not salty enough. Doesn't feel like it is cooked from beef bone. And most importantly, the soup is NOT very hot. This is absolutely a no no for pho. And their service is not good either. Work very slow. And trying to get a few people to get our checks at the end. And they all looked at you and then walk away without bringing the check. Then I saw another table also stood up and go to the counter. So we did the same thing. We walked up to the counter to pay and they were kind of upset and throw the bill down without saying anything. I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant. There are better option around town. Pho-Licious has way better beef noodle pho with hot soup and superior quality meat. Went on a cold rainy day and was in the mood for some Pho! Unfortunately, this place left me pretty disappointed. 1) Food (2/5): it was just ok. Lacking some flavor and the noodles seemed a bit too soggy for my taste. The meat was very fatty and made me lose my appetite. The egg rolls tasted like they were fried in some overused oil. Crazy flavors going on with it that was not good in my opinion. 2) Service (2/5): nothing special. A bit rude but not mean. Just meh... 3) Experience (2/5): place looked a bit grungy. I love Pho Ha i've been coming here for years, it's close to my house and the food always tastes the same. They have pretty large portions for what you pay for as well which is nice. Food is actually better than decent considering the location, but service is pretty much non-existent after you've placed your order. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and located within a strip mall with plenty of parking. As for cost, this place is more expensive than most Vietnamese restaurants in the SGV, but I don't have an issue with that as long as food quality and taste is good. Have been coming here for sometime now. i have been ordering Wonton soup pretty much every time my wife and my son order the pho. When I received my order at wonton, they weren't floating on top . They were sitting on the bottom. They were chewy, not light as if they were cooked enough. My wife and my son ordered the Pho. When the food came, there was only one pho they ordered .after a little bit of communication of what has happened they were apologetic and rectified it.
