Long time customer for over 10 years. Always delicious and yummy food with excellent pricing. A small and local shop, friendly service, offered great selection on Vietnamese food. I love their house special Pho, spring roll. Their soup on the pho is hot and yummy. And in summer time, their vermicelli are great and refreshing. Filled with tons of fresh vegetables. I used to come here all the for take out when my parents used to work close by, and when I found out they were open for dine in I was excited!! The inside is really small. They probably can fit like six parties of two but it would be super cramped still. The guy helping us was very fast and attentive. The restaurant was full and they also had a lot of people calling for to-go orders, but he was always on top of everyone and giving great service. The food was great. I got the Pho filet and the soup base itself was already delicious. Although, I feel like the portions got smaller (or maybe I was just super hungry) but for take out, I usually share with my mom and we'd both be satisfied but I left feeling hungry still. Small place for Phó was really good. We ordered the bbq pork pho and grilled chicken pho. My wife ordered the lychee tea that she thought was amazing. She hadn't had it before and liked it because it was sweet. I thought it was cool but I don't like sweet beverages. Too sweet for me but great for her. Broth was nice before adding anything. Crisp bean sprouts fresh mint and basil. Service was good young guy did well. Would definitely come back again. My wife wasn't feeling good and this made her feel much better. Price was reasonable my Wife thought she got a lot of noodles and some places we have to get extra for the left over broth. read more

This place makes a pretty solid pho. I haven't tried any other pho places in Arcadia, but I'd go again if I was in the area. Overall the broth could have been a little more flavorful, but that's comparing to all the places in OC. The staff were super friendly and quick. They brought over a bowl and scissors for my little one without needing to ask. Very hospitable! read more

Yum! I actually haven't been back to Pholicious in a while! My friends and I decided to stop here for dinner before our road trip. I got the chicken vermicelli with tofu. The tofu is fried and they give you lots of it. They skimped a bit on the chicken though. All in all, my bowl was huge and full of rice noodles, lettuce, and all the toppings. I love the sauce that you pour on top. I usually go to el monte, rosemead, or san gabriel for pho, but it's nice to have a local spot nearby. Prices here are a lot higher than other pho restaurants in neighboring cities whilst the quality of food is similar. They have one gender-neutral bathroom. Plenty of parking in the free parking lot. Service is pretty friendly and fast. read more

First time visiting this place. The staff are so courteous and kind. One of the nicest people in the restaurant business. We love the dry vermicelli noodle bowls! The review is more for service. We haven't been here before and wanted to give it a try since it was a convenient location to where we wanted to go after our lunch. It's a small restaurant that has about 7 tables, 3 of the tables are tables for 2. We had a party of 3 and they actually seated 2 different parties of 2 at a table for 4.. when we walked in, we weren't greeted until a few minutes later and that waiter pretty much said he'll be right with us but didn't acknowledge us after that. Couple mins later, a woman comes up and say there's no tables right now and to write our name down. It's a very small restaurant so when one of couples saw that we had to wait, they offered to move to a small table and give up the big table for us. They didn't even have their food yet either. The waiter told them no, they don't want to do that and proceeded to dropping off items to a different table. It's a bit ridiculous when the customer offered and you still decided to make us wait for a seat... definitely not accommodating to other customers and quite rude to be frank. So we left. read more

We've been coming to this small family business for years. We always order the same items, shrimp pho with a side of bbq pork (add the pork to your pho) BOMB!!! They should name that the "Sotelo" pho... The spring rolls and beef sandwich are also delicious. Highly recommended enjoy!! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Came in as a party of 5 and they couldn't even placed 3 tables together even though my mom requested it. The guy owner was about to but the lady said not to. So we had one chair on the side of our tables. However, there was another party of 5 with 3 small children and they got 3 single tables. We had 4 adults and a teen with us. My sister tried to get the same lady's attention to get small plates since we were sharing 3 entrees and 1 appetizers, but she did not look this way at all. I raised my hand several times and she ignored us. She finally looked over when i requested out loud, then brought it over with an attitude, and just walked away. Will not be coming back. There are so many more Vietnamese restaurants all over el monte that would serve you better. read more

Very unpleasant experience. Female owner is rude and customer service skills are none. Just to ask for a straw was difficult! Food, esp Pho, is tasty however, skip the Beef Curry. The portion was so tiny. Think there were only 6 pieces of meat. And the side order of baguette was expensive at $2 and it was just a little bit bigger than a roll! Place was ok. Nothing special. Cleanish but a bit messy with stuff stored everywhere, Small place. Overall, we had better experience ordering delivery. Don't think we'll ever return! read more

Food was just okay, nothing special. There are pho places in Elk Grove are better People there are Vietnamese but when I ordered or asked for utensils or order something for to go, they avoided to speak Vietnamese. Why? Service is just so so. Basically customers have to ask for almost everything. Utensils, napkins etc It's so funny that entire restaurant they only have one black pepper , any customer wants it the waitress has to run around and look for it Will not be back read more

I've been here many times in person but this time I ordered via Uber eats. The one thing I can say is the portion size has always been on point. The meats are pretty solid quality and overall taste is really good. Prices have certainly gone up due to inflation so a bowl seems to be about 15-17 dollars per. A pho-licious bowl of pho indeed, and would order again when I get my craving. read more

This is my go-to Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I love that they have a good selection of vegan options that go beyond just tofu. I usually order their veggie eggroll vermicelli, vegan chicken lemongrass banh mi, and recently tried the fried tofu with peanut sauce... YUM!! Their vegan pho is delicious too, which I can't wait to eat soon now that the weather is cooler. Always friendly service. I hope this business continues to thrive. read more

It's time for an update. The last time I reviewed this restaurant is from 2018. Some things have changed since then. But one constant remains: Pholicius is delicious! But first and foremost: Currently, this location is still operating under pandemic circumstances, and they are NOT serving any dine-in customers. The entrance is blocked off. You can order at the door, or call in your order, and you can pick up and pay when you arrive. Honestly, with increased cost of everything, and the uncertainty with the direction or COVID surges and infection patterns, everybody wins with this strategy. Due to reasons mentioned above, the prices have been inflated. Yup, everything's costing a bit more now. (Groceries, supplies, gas!) You're looking at $13 to $16 per dish, which is maybe a few dollars more than, say, 1-2 years ago. I do not think I can call this place cheap or "a great deal", but for the quality and the taste, it's worth it. I'd say it's still on the border for being affordable as a weekly family dinner take-out option. Any higher, I would rotate with cheaper places to make the bucks stretch. In fact, when I want pho, I usually go to another go-to spot in West Covina. (I won't mention its name, and you'll see why. I do like this place in WesCo a lot, though!) This other business charges noticeably less, but my family swears that Pholicious, though more expensive, uses fresher ingredients, cooks up more flavor dishes, and just provides a better palate experience in general. And having compared the two one after another, by God, it's true! I got the house special pho tonight, and man, the broth was indeed a lot more bolder and satisfying than the more bland and generic version I got from the other place. The meat was a lot more tender, and it was one friggin' tasty pho. The down side, however, was that I got a lot less protein. I still had enough noodles to keep me nice and full, but savor those few pieces of beef, meat ball, and whatnot. The noodle itself was also satisfying for what it was, so overall, I was pretty happy, just slurping away in bliss. My parents got the chicken and lemongrass fried rice, and it was also great. Two thumbs up. Once again, the quality of the ingredients (in this case, the chicken) was apparent and there was no debate why someone would choose to pay more for quality. Portion was eh, barely passable for the price, but I'd once again attribute to the pandemic. All the minors complaints are pointless, because I KNOW I will continue to support Pholicious. It's got a solid performance and a dependable track record over the years, and I, of course, would recommend it once again in 2022! 5 stars! (A few side notes: order may take up to 35 to 40 minutes to be ready after calling in; they're fairly busy and popular. Very easy to park in their strip mall corner parking lot. Simple trip, in and out, quick and easy. It was our first time here, and now it will be our new favorite spot! The staff greeted us with a smile. Nowadays, it's unheard of. The staff here are super friendly and helpful they've answered every one of my questions and got the food out fairly quick. While dining in today I noticed an interaction between the staff and an ungrateful customer. The cashier and what seemed to be the manager were dealing with an attitude rotten customer that was impatient and completely rude. The well mannered staff handled it patiently and kindly while this women was completely out of line. The woman was complaining about wait times when they've haven't even waited for a full 10 minutes. It speaks volumes on the great people working here, when disrespected they show immense respect and compassion. Overall great atmosphere and super delicious food! read more

The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 rating is because you can only order certain items from the menu when they open. I wanted to get some Chinese food to-go for my husband, but was told by the server that the other items were only available beginning at 10 am, which is odd to me.

It taste in line of what I expected in the 626 area. I ordered extra beef slices. They gave me a really generous portion for $2.50. I definitely felt they were competitively priced. I think if you want a more elevated experience, order pho with a stone pot. The stone retains heat and keep the broth warmer, longer. I would visit Golden Delight again. I saw many tables ordering the Central Vietnamese Steamed rice cakes with shrimp sauce, so I'm exited to see what that's about. If you read enough of my reviews, you know parking is a big thing for me. And you're in luck, the Empire Commercial Center has plenty of parking (there's always parking, just if you're willing to walk across the large lot)

Noodles were thin and cooked properly. The bone rib was a hard miss. It was very chewy and almost hard, as if it was old. Cooked a while ago and sitting for someone to order it. The rib itself is 4/10, if 5/10 meant acceptable. I ONLY recommend this spot if you're on your lunch break and gotta stay in the area for work. Otherwise, you should make the drive to eat better. I assume the good rating they have is due to lack of competition in the immediate area. They have a B rating as if 9/25/2024! 1.5 years and they still haven't made the effort to get right? I'm a dude who can just stand and piss over any drain, but the restroom was disgusting. If my family was with me I would feel horrible allowing my wife or kids to have to use it.
