Really good food if you have that Vietnamese dish craving. Coming from LA, I was hoping to find some good authentic Vietnamese food. I've tried the Garlic Noodle bowl with Chicken and it's absolutely delicious. The garlic is not too overpowering and the chicken is very tender. We also tried the Pork Chop plate with rice and cooked really well. The fish sauce that accompanied it is also really good and the smell is mot too strong. They sell boba drinks but I've only had the Vietnamese Coffee and Thai Tea, and it's strong! I highly recommend this place for to-go. In dining is an experience as they have a "droid" come and bring the plates to your table. Open concept and ample seating makes this a really cozy place to dine in. read more

This new place has potential. The tables were a bit sticky, but at least the chairs were very comfortable. Too much storage going on in the hallway and restrooms. That's never a good sign. Oh wow. Driving through Bakersfield from Somoma vacation back to Los Angeles and decided to try this place. So yum! The most satisfying meaty broth ever! If you like meat, paying a few bucks extra for the Jurassic Pho is so worth it. You get this huge rib bone that my Jurassic World-loving-kid really enjoyed gnawing on. My family ordered the regular beef pho $13.95; Jurassic Pho $16.95; Vermicelli Bowl with grilled chicken $14.50 that my super picky husband enjoyed; salt n pepper fish appetizer $9.95; and milk tea w/boba $5.50 (perfect sweetness!). Portion sizes were quite generous. Service was great, everyone very nice and accommodating. We heartily enjoyed our meal and will come here again if we ever pass through Bakersfield. Place was clean and orderly with counter service. This was our first time here. We two dishes which we shared, the Jurassic pho and the shrimp spring rolls and I had hot tea and my husband had the Thai tea. Everything was spot on and delicious. I have tried their Jurassic Pho and different variations of the Deluxe Bento and have enjoyed every.single.item I've tried. My favorites are the garlic noodles, the charbroiled pork, and the spicy wontons. Delish!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. I had the charbroiled pork bento with rice where i got to chose 2 sides. Owner said the garlic noodle was angel hair pasta. I'm asian, hook me up with the rice! The sides I chose were the spicy wontons and shrimp spring roll. This bento is legit a lot of food. The pork is nice and tender. Heads up the wontons are small and you get five. They are big enough on flavor. That sauce is amazing! The spring rolls fit your hand and you get 2. Are you feeling full yet? I topped it off with some thai tea with boba. Complete meal. Update: I just tried the Secret Menu's Chicken Pho and it is bomb! I gotta admit I don't usually order chicken pho but I do not regret this! The broth is rich in flavor but not an overpowered chicken flavor. Does not taste like I'm drinking chicken bullion broth. The dipping sauce compliments the chicken broth really well. Hands down the BEST Pho in town. Their rice noodle is special and it's the flat wider version. I've had my fair share of Pho as I'm from the Bay and frequent SoCal.
