I absolutely love Saigon cafe!!! I come here a ton, especially when I don't feel like driving all the way to Buford highway. Their pho is great. I also like the chow fun noodles. (Super fun). And the noodle "bun" dishes are really delicious also. Service is always really great. Their staff are really helpful and friendly, and one of the guys there talked to us for quite a while helping us decide what to order XD and of course we were all pleased. I LOVE Saigon Cafe! I work next-door at ChocoLaté coffee and usually get Saigon when I work. Their Pad Thai is one of my favorites but the thing I get most is the CS1(filet mignon with yellow rice) and a Thai Tea. SO good! And those are just my favorites, I've tried many other things on their menu and never gotten a bad meal here. I've always gotten great service here, too. Everyone is really nice and helpful and when I'm at work they are nice enough to bring the food over to me. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Don't let the Asian looking staff fool you. This is not an authentic Vietnamese establishment. None of the wait staff are or speak Vietnamese. It's silly to order the dish and have to give the waitress a dish number or point out the name on the menu. Grrr, I might as well put the order in myself. The Pho was salty and the flavors were off. I'm not Asian nor an expert on the types of food they serve so I can't speak as to the authenticity or really compare it to others of the type, but it's tasty to me. Pretty cheap prices for generous servings of good food. It's on par with most of the nice Chinese restaurants I've been to that cost more and is significantly better than your typical Braised Wing w/Fried Rice joint, which costs about the same. I usually get the rice dishes and those are really good. I've had the big a*s bowl of soup with bean sprouts and basil and stuff (I forget the name) and it was really good as well. The bubble tea is also on point. I would give it 4 stars but the service is pretty terrible. I don't find the staff to be rude, but they're in their own world. I would put it on par with one of those basically take-out only places that has some tables setup that pretty much nobody eats at so it never even crosses the staff's mind to check if anyone is in there and needs attention. I have no idea why Saigon Cafe only has three stars...we ate there for the first time yesterday and we really enjoyed our meal. I was a little skeptical at first because it's in a strip mall kinda area, but the inside is clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive....and most importantly, the food was good: We started with spring rolls, they were average, nothing to hop up and down about, but certainly nothing to complain about either...then we each ordered pho...we got a chicken pho and a shrimp pho and they were both excellent, ingredients tasted fresh and broth was flavorful. Plus they had all our favorites on the side: bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes, cilantro, garlic chili, hoisin, soy, siracha, everything. Oh, and portions were huge...I got a small and it filled me up and my boyfriend got the medium and didn't finish...I can't even imagine what the large and extra large would look like! Prices were good too, our bill was just over $20. We both said we'll be back for sure...I would definitely recommend Saigon Cafe for a casual lunch or dinner. read more

Most good pho places in Atlanta can be found on Buford highway, but this place is comparable with a much closer location (for us anyway). I went there once and had severe explosive diarrhea. I thought I was just sick so I tried it a second time and I couldn't even finish my meal and had to run to the bathroom. This is unfortunately one of the few options for Vietnamese around N Decatur area. I've tried a variety of their options (they offer Vietnamese, Thai, Malaysian, and Chinese cuisine), including the pho, Saigon noodles, and chicken chow mein but have had mediocre dishes each time. The spring roll options usually only come with two rolls but the entree portions are large. The ingredients don't seem to be the freshest and the flavor is so-so. While the food usually arrives to the table in a short time, it is priced similar to other restaurants but with a lower quality. read more

You just can't go wrong with Saigon cafe. I love their customer service compared to your average pho restaurants. These people actually want to serve you. The food comes out very quickly, and hot and fresh! They don't complain if you ask for extra limes or bean sprouts. I always get the rare beef but ask for it well done. I'm not a fan. We ordered a pineapple fried rice dish and a viatnamese noodle dish. They were both bland, were incredibly greasy, and the had some sort of mystery chicken meat. Turned off by the food, we hoped the exotic $2.50 strawberry green teas would make everything better. But those were duds too. They came in prepackaged sippy cups and were far too sweet. These reviews are very misleading. I do not recommend this place AT ALL. So I got a shrimp pho ,chicken fried rice,and crab Rangoon but they call it "cheese puffs". The pho didn't have any flavor the shrimp were small and the shrimp still had the poop in it (which is disgusting to me) the chicken fried rice tasted like straight up oil and it was super greasy. The only thing I enjoyed from this place was the "cheese puffs". I will not be going back. read more

Sure enough, there's this little shopping center I haven't been to in about 17 years. Has both Asian AND Mediterranean. The place was good - it just was. We got hot, tasteful food very fast. I told the waiter to bring me what he eats and it just was darn good. Suddenly Mom and Dad call - sure, come on over, we'll feed ya. These guys didn't blink - they pulled over another table and we had 8 people eating. For under $100. Not bad. We then walked over to the ice cream place. How have I not been to this great restaurant until now? We love everything about this place. The soups are terrific, the place is comfortable, and, contrary to other high-maintenance, lame reviewers, the service is fast and friendly. My family and I went twice last week and tried two of the Phos and two of the noodle soups. They were all outstanding. Even my picky son loved the lo-mein. And even though I'm not a bubble tea fan, my daughter tells me they're great. How the F%#k dose this place have any positive reviews ? We went in only 2 , waited maybe 5 mins for someone to sit us down. Was brought water and menus. Looking at the water you could see shit footing inside of the dark tinted cups. We waved the server down so we could order . She gave us nasty hand jesters and told her to "give me a minute " so time is passing we have been sitting for almost 30mins now with out anything other than dirty water and we haven't even ordered yet. To add on you can get a slight view of the kitchen and every time one of those cooks drops sometime you can not only hear it up see it. They must of dropped something every 6mins and what scares me is if they are picking up the dropped food or trays and not sterilizing them are they have hit the floor. So long story short 40mins after we walked in no food no order no nothing . So we got up and walked out. Hope some health inspectors read this review . read more

When this location first opened (maybe a year and a half ago) it was really good. Maybe not authentic, but good. It has really gone down hill since, but the Pho is still pretty good along with a few other select dishes. They do have a wide variety of pretty good bubble tea here, so drink up! read more

This location is not as great as the one in Duluth. The food was a little bland. The water tasted like it came straight from the tap and didn't taste filtered at all. My cup of soup came out at the same time as my pad Thai. While I was enjoying my cup of soup, the pad Thai noodles were drying and sticking together. I definitely prefer the Duluth location if you really have a Saigon craving. read more
