Bun bo Hue and Pho Tai
    Sarah A.

Great little spot for Vietnamese food! I always come for their lunch specials as it is a great price for the portion. I always leave full, and I don't need a forklift to carry me out of here. Got the bun bo hue and pho. They have different types of pho for their lunch for under $10 I believe. Definitely recommend this place!

    Fried spring rolls. Very good.

There are a few Vietnamese restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area and most are fairly similar. I gave it 4 stars but it's more like 3-1/2 stars. Their fried were fantastic but their pho fell a little short. The broth was good but the meat was pretty skimpy and in the case of the tripe, which was supposed to be in there, it was non existent. Decent place otherwise.

Bon Bo Hue and Beef Pho

The portions and flavor were amazing! Such a little hidden gem We got the wings as an appetizer and they were fried to perfection. I got the lunch portion Beef Pho with Sirloin and he got the Bun Bo Hue (spicy noodles with beef and pork). All of the herbs were so fresh and meat was beyond tender. The staff was super nice and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

    Grilled Shrimp and Pork

The food here is simply AMAZING! I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken AND the Grilled Pork with ShrimP AND the Wings! YES...they were all DELICIOUS! The server High was just lovely and genuinely sweet. I will be visiting every time I come to Myrtle Beach! The restaurants looks really small from the outside but is quite roomy and cozy inside. The decor and the food are authentic Vietnamese. You will not go wrong eating here! Sorry there's only one pic..I started eating and couldn't stop!

Damn good food. Apparently the bathroom problems have been taken care as I Shaw no issues. The potstickers were phenomenal and the spring rolls were awesome as well. Hot and spicy noodles were off the chain delicious.

First time at Murtle Beach and was skeptical about trying pho out here only because of the mixed reviews and I am a big pho lover but I am so glad we dine here bc it did not disappoint! Broth was very flavorful and it definitely hit the spot. The waitress was really nice as well. This is our new go to pho spot while in Murtle Beach. I recommend this pho spot bc you'll get the authentic pho broth and it's not americanize or watered down.

At first, I did not want any PHO, I was crazy for seafood being in Myrtle Beach...Then the Pho bug bit me.... had to eat some pho. I never planned to eat Pho in SC. I just was not expecting anything good. Really! I pick this place because it was near our shopping. I pick my pho from the reviews and the pictures. The Pho must look right. If the pho looks like crap, that means the cook does not know how to cook it. If the presentation is good, the pho will probably be good. The pho images looked correct. I had the pho, and it was good. No issues. The place could use some work, but I was here only for the PHO. I recommend this PHO place if you are in SC near Myrtle Beach. Sorry, I did not try any of the other places here, but this place was SOLID.

It seems as though there has been a change in management/ownership because the menu looks a lot different than previous. This time the menu offers MORE Chinese options than it does Vietnamese. And when we were dining in; there was only one person working. There was another woman also behind the counter, but she was not helping at all. Just a warning; service can be slow but friendly. The food itself was very underwhelming. I ordered the duck noodle soup and the soup broth was bland and the duck meat was so gamey and tasted old. The rest of my family did not enjoy their dishes as well. Usually at Vietnamese restaurants you get a plate of fresh veggies to go along with your dishes, but we didn't get any here.

Dude that said "best pho on the planet" is either somehow affiliated with the business, or has never been to Vietnam hahaha It's Saturday around 3:00 p.m., and I am the only customer in the entire restaurant. That's typically a red flag for me, but there's so many good reviews about this place on multiple platforms. So I'll get the cons out of the way. They were out of fish sauce, they don't have chili sauce, and they don't have Thai basil! This is the very first pho place I've been to in my life that doesn't have basil. They had cilantro, and I've gotten cilantro and basil in the past so that was kind of disappointing. I ordered fresh spring rolls as an appetizer. They were so so. Not my favorite, but better than some places I've been to. I ordered the deluxe combination pho. I always try the broth, virgin before adding sauces. I will tell you this, this broth was off the chain! Man was it good! The meats were pretty good. The tendon was so tender it was like taking a bite of Jell-O. I didn't have much tripe, not really a whole whole lot of meat all together, but it wasn't like skimpy. But I did have a ton of noodles. So if you order a big bowl, you won't leave hungry. My waitress was nice and attentive, but then again it's kind of hard since I'm the only person in there! Hahaha! I only had water with lime, because they don't have lemons either, so my total was around $27 with the pho and spring roll appetizer. I've eaten Vietnamese all over the country, although this place is pretty decent, it doesn't make my top 10. Definitely good enough to come back to though! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. The service is friendly and efficient. The portions are what you'd expect when you go to any Vietnamese restaurant and most importantly, the pho is tasty. I usually leave there with a bill of about $17.00 so it's not necessarily a cheap lunch but it's extremely satisfying. I do wish they would serve banh mi again but I don't believe it was a big hit among the locals here which is a shame because it's a delicious sandwich. Still one of my "go to" restaurants for lunch.
