The girl at the counter was nice and welcoming she took our order and made our sandwich in a timely manner great service. This Beach Hut deli is right on K street next to the DOCO and the Golden 1 arena. The location is perfect for lunch and provides a great atmosphere. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Although, with the light rail going right through K street, outside seating might be a little loud. Inside they also have a barstool set up to enjoy a cold beer without getting any food. They sandwiches are really good and are a good amount of food for the money. They offer plenty of options to customize the sandwich so it's perfect for you. Staff is always friendly. This hidden little gem is located in such a funny location behind the Malt and Mash downtown. It's really tucked away so it seems like a walk to get around but it isn't! I like that this location has a bar area for game days and days when you're downtown with the family. I ended up enjoying the food way more than i thought I would . What a find on my last visit to Sacramento! Tons of vegan and non vegan options and they all sounded delicious. I tried the vegan pastrami which leaned a little salty but still really good! I was so happy to find this place. The food was amazing. There were so many vegan choices I just asked them to pick a few sandwiches for me to take away and they didn't fail. It's fun clean and friendly. As I understand it, this is the only location that has the vegan menu. I travel to Sacramento about once a month and don't stay close enough to their location for the delivery sites to allow ordering from this location so I figured out a way to order from GrubHub just so that I can select them in the future. First off, all of the employees look like they're 15 years old. There's usually an older manager type to keep things under control and maybe that was what made the difference today. My beer was served in a cracked glass. WTF. Why is a broken glass even in circulation. That's an obvious no-no. The pepperoncinis on my sandwich were OBVIOUSLY bad. They were brown and wilty looking. Why would you serve those? Rest of the sandwich was good. Lastly, the music was bullshit. The "kids" running the place were changing it every minute or so. I'm not sure I ever heard a complete song. This Beach Hut Deli is located in a great spot right by DOCO. It welcomes you in right away with the fun outdoor decor that continues into the restaurant. When I went in the staff was friendly and I was able to place my order right away. My order was to-go, so I hung out and took some photos of the restaurant while I waited. It probably took about fifteen minutes and I was out the door. I ordered the 6" Hobie ($11.50) and the 6" Sunburn ($12.50) after tax and tip the order was $29.90. Both sandwiches were tasty and while it's not my favorite sandwich spot in the Sacramento area, I would absolutely stop by if I was going to a game or event in the DOCO area and was looking for something quick. read more

I love the cream cheese they throw in some of their sandwiches, very tasty and would have never thought to do so. The nachos were a bit much for me. Had a Surfin Bird made impossibly wrong in September, then had a family member fall ill & I couldn't get back in to have them remake the sandwich as offered til mid October. That said, the minute I walked in & asked for the mgr to explain, the young man working the counter- Francisco? Fernando? My memory is trash- said, oh, i know about what happened, my mgr told me to look out for you back on my 1st day here! He immediately told me he'd make my sandwich over & let me write a thank you note to the manager. Such a sweet guy! The sandwich was right back to the familiar Bird i know & have loved for a decade. Thank you Sean, Alex & Fern...Franc... shit, thank you awesome sandwich making dude who was so kind.
