My family and I went here on a super busy day. To my surprise, there is not much seating but they were packed. We waited around 15-20 mins for a table. Our family ordered an array of foods! Delicious and really good portions. I can't wait to try other items they have.
We (as a group of eight) arrived during the lunch rush on a weekend but, surprisingly, were seated within five minutes. The restaurant is on the smaller side and feels a bit cramped. We were seated between the counter and the entrance. It's your typical pho restaurant setup, with utensils, sauces, and napkins conveniently available at the table for self-service. The menu offers a nice variety of appetizers, rice plates, and pho, with plenty of options to choose from. After our group placed our order, the pho arrived first, while the rice plates followed shortly afterward. The prices are reasonable, and the food was satisfying. They accept both cash and credit cards, and if you pay with cash, they offer a 3.75% discount on your total bill. Overall, it's a solid neighborhood pho spot. While I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat here, I'd happily return if I were in the area.

Came here with 3 of my friends this past Saturday. We arrived a little after 12pm. We were able to check in on the Yelp waitlist in the app beforehand, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered a few dishes to share - 2 bánh khọt (Vietnamese mini pancakes), 1 xôi thập cẩm (sticky rice), 1 bánh mì chảo (filet mignon), and 2 cà phê dừa (coconut coffee). An order of bánh khọt came with 7 pancakes and a side of veggies and fish sauce. The pancakes were really crispy, and they were delicious, especially wrapped with the veggies. I just wished they gave more lettuce or at least allowed refills. More veggies was an extra charge. The xôi thập cẩm and bánh mì chảo were also good. The cà phê dừa was blended so it was more smoothie-like. The sweet coconut balanced out the strong coffee. Overall, we had a great and filling lunch. The restaurant was modern, polished, and inviting.
Great flavors, one of the best banh khot (mini pancake) I've had in a while. The shaken beef was super tender. The coconut coffee was very strong and not too sweet. I enjoyed it. Fast service and cool ambiance!
When I'm in sac and craving for banh mi chao, I have to come here! I love the flavor and the meat is tender. The sauce pairs so well with the baguette and I love dipped the bread in the runny egg yolk. There's usually a wait here so make sure to use Yelp waitlist to check how long the wait is! We also tried bánh xèo for the first time. It was crispy and delicious with the toppings and sauce that comes with it!
Came here in a party of 3 on a Saturday morning. There was a tablet for the waitlist, but we were seated immediately. Ordered: - green thai tea: not too sweet! - coconut coffee: very thick and filling, more like a dessert than something you drink on the side - banh mi chao: yum, meatball was my fav, beef could be more tender though - banh khot: standard, could be crispier though - shaking beef: loved the rice that came with it and was a good portion Overall, food and service was quick. Wasn't too busy on a Saturday morning, so it was easy to get staff attention if we needed anything. Very casual and you pay at the front, great prices too.
Saigon Oi is known for its specialty Vietnamese menu items, such as Banh Mi Chao (aka Bo Ne), Banh Khot (savory mini pancakes with shrimp), and Banh Canh Cua (crab meat udon soup). The restaurant is very popular on weekends and offers weekend specials. Some entrees are only offered weekdays, like Banh Xeo (large savory pancake or crepe), and others, like Com Do Beef Steak (ribeye or rib eye steak with red rice), are only offered on weekends. If you saw a delicious picture of something you wanted to eat, you might want to read reviews or call to check. Note: The restaurant is open 10 AM to 5 PM, so it's more of a brunch, lunch, after school, and early dinner restaurant. CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS. Restaurant has 19 tables. Bossa Nova lounge music or easy listening music was playing and giving off beach vibes. Think of the song "The Girl From Ipanema." I went on a weekday. The server let me choose and sit at any empty table. He was kind and helpful to answer all my foodie questions throughout my visit. To help me choose what one entree to order, he first asked me if I preferred beef or chicken. If beef, choose Banh Mi Chao or Com Do Bo Luc Lac (Shaking Beef). If chicken, choose Com Do Ga Quay (Roasted Chicken with Red Rice). The Banh Mi Chao comes with filet mignon chunks, a pork meatball, a slice of pork roll, 2 eggs, pate made out of pork liver, 2 baby tomatoes, onions, and a cilantro sprig. A toasted bread roll accompanies it. You get Sweet Soy Sauce to adjust the Banh Mi Chao to taste. It's made with chilis and a little sugar. I don't think it's necessary given the dish is plenty flavorful. You can ask to customize the Banh Mi Chao if you don't want one or more of the ingredients. Some customers only want the steak and eggs and maybe the pork roll. I liked the pork meatball and might skip the pork roll, which is similar in texture to a fish ball. The pate has a rich, gamey flavor: You can taste the liver. I didn't know that pate is traditionally made of liver until the server told me. Although I thought the bread was too dry, I needed it, as well as my water and Coconut Coffee, to balance the saltiness of the entree. I think I would prefer the bread untoasted or more lightly toasted, which would require you to wait longer for that to be made to order. The Coconut Coffee was recommended by several Yelp reviewers. Vietnamese Coffee is strong, so make sure to stir or gently shake your drink before drinking it. Creamy, coconutty, and right amount of sweetness. During my meal, my server checked on me once to see if I was enjoying my meal. I think you'll have to flag him down if you need more water or want to order more. When you're done eating, go to the counter to check out. You'll see a sign that instructs you to pay there. Besides the Banh Mi Chao, other Yelp reviewers loved the Banh Khot, Fish Sauce Chicken Wings, Shaking Beef, and Roasted Chicken. Most enjoyed the Banh Canh Cua. I thought the Crab Meat with Salted Egg Fried Rice sounded delicious.
Saigon Oi is not your typical Vietnamese restaurant--there's no pho here, but plenty of other delicious classics that will absolutely keep you coming back. My personal favorite is the bánh xèo: crispy, flavorful, and done right every time. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I really appreciate that they keep the menu focused and intentional. It's clear they've chosen to do a smaller number of dishes exceptionally well. It shows in the quality and consistency.
I love this place! The food is tasty and the staff is friendly. I go here whenever I was Vietnamese food but something different than most pho places. I also always take friends and family visiting here and it never disappoints. The yelp wait is pretty accurate, so I recommend joining before you head over to avoid having to wait there. Last time I went and checked, it was about an hour wait so I joined it and did some grocery shopping nearby before going there. I've had everything on the menu so it's up to the point where it depends on what I'm feeling. Everything on the menu is different so it's not too hard to choose. If I want something soupy, I'll go for the crab udon, if I want rice, the fried rice, something full of flavor, the Banh Mi Chao, something light, then the Banh Khot (good option since they don't make Banh Xeo on the weekends). The last time I went 07/04/2026, I noticed on the wall they were having a special, Bun Bo Hue, which I love when I go to pho restaurants. I'm not sure if it's new or I've been blind this whole time, but it did not disappoint. It was full of flavor, and it was nice that they put the spicy paste on the side for you to adjust the spiciness. I love spicy foods but one of my friends do not, so it was easy for us to enjoy our meal. It was also not just a spicy sauce to add; there was a past along with it. Shrimp paste maybe? I didn't ask, but it enhanced the flavor, so I recommend using it. Their sister restaurant, Me's Kitchen is next on my list to try. Can't wait!
This highly-rated restaurant is located in the Pacific Rim Plaza in Stockton Boulevard. It's famous for creating modern twists on Vietnamese street food. Though their signature dish is the Bánh Mì Chảo, we opted to have this on another day. Photos posted online are exactly what to expect upon entering this packed eatery. Trendy & modern decor & lighting fixtures abound. We reserved our spot via Saigon Oi's Yelp page waitlist feature while we were a good 30 minutes away. This was perfectly timed for that Sunday lunch as we were two parties away from being seated when we checked-in. Parking's tricky, so be prepared for that experience. Drinks: Kumquat Lemongrass Tea and Coconut Coffee. Both satisfying and flavorful drinks. The iced tea was refreshing while the coconut Vietnamese coffee was a great tasting waker-upper. Dishes: Crispy Fish Sauce Chicken Wings, Ribeye Steak and Vietnamese Shaking Beef, both with red rice. Food was OMG good. I'm drooling right now as I'm writing this review. Want to go back ASAP.
I have been a regular at Saigon Oi since they opened and yes I have waited over 45 minutes like everyone else in the past. It's because the Vietnamese fusion food is really that yummy and presentation is an awe. I guess everyone has already tried their entire menu since it's like 10 items and drinks on the otherside. But I always welcome their Specials because like this Month the braised duck noodle soup was AMAZING there was 3 prices of generous portions of duck and herbal ingredients in the soup. If you love ducks and noodles as much as I do this is to die for. I would definitely return and have the duck noodles again or whatever your next special today's meal.
Had a great time here eating with my partner for Valentine's Day brunch! It's such a lovely cafe/restaurant. It's part of a Vietnamese plaza so it can be difficult to find parking. They use Yelp waitlist so you can easily check how long the wait is. We waited for about 5 minutes until your table was ready. The interior is beautiful it's with modern charm, lunar new year decorations, and gardenscaped bar station. Service was quick, efficient, and easy. We ordered: - Banh Khot: beautiful colors of gold and orange and green! Very filling and crunchy! Just be careful to not burn yourself since they're on top of a hot skillet. It comes with veggies on a separate plate like lettuce and mint with fish sauce. It's great by itself or as filling for a lettuce wrap. - Bo Luc Lac with Rice: They didn't have pasta or egg noodle that day so we settled for the rice. Great portion of rice and the beef was tender and juicy. - Com Do Ga Quay: I was very happy with the portion size of the chicken! Lots of meat, rice, and yolk on top for extra protein. What a great dining experience.
4/5: We got seated fairly quickly around 3pm for late lunch. It was all ok; nothing really stood out. Their noddle soups are on rotation every week per waiter and I got the fish based noodle soup. I did like it. The waiting staffs were forgetful, age doesnt matter, maybe lack of experience. They forgot 2 of our orders and the request of 3 waters without ice took a few times asking. Maybe they had an off day. My mom did enjoy her medium rare beef. Overall, 4/5. read more

One thing about this place is that it gets BUSY! Be sure to arrive early if you can. The interior was beautifully decorated and the food came out piping hot and beautifully plated as well. I would say that the service was okay. My friend recommended that we try this place because her and her family love coming here, but I didn't find myself that big of a fan. I got the Bo Luc Lac (shaking beef) and it had great flavors, it was just a little too oily for my liking, but that's just personal preference! I know this is a lot of people's favorites/must-try meal here. read more

I am updating my previous 5 star review because of an experience I had during my most recent visit. While eating the banh khot, I felt this sharp stabbing feeling in the back of my throat. I had to hook this piece of metal out from my throat. I understand that mistakes can happen, but food safety should never be compromised. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend the restaurant with the same confidence as before. read more

"My God, This Is Good!" That was my literal reaction after the first bite of my banh canh cua (crab meat udon soup) and honestly, that says it all. This dish was EVERYTHING. Rich, flavorful broth, generous portions of seafood, and the perfect chew from the thick noodles. The crispy garlic chips added a great crunch, and the lemon and chili sauce on the side gave it that kick that I wanted. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. I also got their iced milk coffee which was flavorful (sweet). I ended up adding a bit of water to dilute it to my taste, but it still hit the spot. I had joined the waitlist on Yelp, and it showed I was far down the line, but when I arrived, I was seated right away so I'd recommend popping in just to check. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and well-designed. You pay at the counter, which made the whole experience easy and efficient. 100/10, will be back soon. read more
I tried the Banh Mi Chao and really enjoyed it! It's a bit heavy for me, but very filling. I also got the Banh Canh Cua. I could pass on this -- there wasn't a lot of crab meat at all for the price. Service was good, and the restaurant itself is clean. I can't wait to come back and try other items. read more
By luck I selected this restaurant as my last stop in Sacramento before heading back to the Bay Area. The banh kot and banh canh cua blew my mind ! Both were served in clay pot / sizzling plate which retained heat well. The banh kot were crispy, flavorful and had decent sized shrimps. The banh canh cua had all kinds of protein, including fish cake, pork cake, shrimp and shredded crab meat mixed with fried onion and shallot. The whole combination mixed very well together with right amount of chewiness on the udon. I will be back next time I visit Sacramento. The same plaza had BAMBU and Premium Matcha ice cream shop which were perfect for dessert after the meal. read more
I adore Saigon Oi. Every time my friends come visit me for brunch, this is one of the spots I take them to. Hugs and kisses to this place for giving me a yummy, well-decorated Asian brunch spot to catch up with my friends and eat good food that actually hits. It can get pretty packed on weekends, so it might be worth coming a little earlier to join the waitlist or even check the Yelp waitlist before leaving the house. For appetizers, I like starting with the bánh khọt -- it's crispy, cute, and always a crowd pleaser. But my holy grail dish? The bánh mì chảo. I tell everyone to order it. It comes out sizzling hot, looks so good, and the bread?? Crispy on the outside, soft, warm, and fluffy on the inside -- perfection! It's filling and flavorful and just makes my soul happy. Pro tip, join the waitlist via Yelp cause you'll probably have to wait about 40 mins to be seated if you join at the store. Whole store has about 20 tables that can seat various party sizes. Parking situation, it's an Asian parking lot with a lot of good shops in the plaza so as long as your open to not parking right in front I'm sur e you'll be able to find a spot. Plus plenty of dessert options in the plaza to try after anyways. The food: I got a special item that isn't usually on the menu but was advertised ad a featured item: hue tie nam vang. (Dry noodle w/ soup on the side) . The dish was flavorful, packed with umami, but it didn't hit the spot like other places have for me. The side broth was a little too salty, as it's usually a lighter broth to cleanse the palette and help the noodles go down if needed. Quote rate it 8/10 My family also order the ban coc, which surprisingly was not as enjoyable as I expected, the pieces I had had more bounce and chew ...7/10. The Banh Mi Bo Ne ,was good but the flavor wasn't as developed, compared to San Jose versions, would give it 8/10 Banh canh cua flavorful but also in the saltier side compared to other places. Similar to the broth for my dry noodles it was over salted, which added flavorful but instead of clearing my throat I needed water to rehydrate my throat. 7/10 This place definitely has some iconic dishes that are harder to find in the area which is why it was pretty crowded and if you're craving it, should definitely check the spot out, but comparing the Bay Area which is what I put as my standard, it may not hit the same. But the service here is way better than you would receive in the Bay Area. Overall this place gets four stars since these dishes are better compared to local places. read more
5 stars for amazing foods, service.. during our visit in Sacramento, it was so gratefully finding this spot for lunch. Luckily we arrived after an hour opening, got the table right away, 30 minutes after seating, people started to come and long line. Foods came out quickly to satisfy the crave, we just dove in quickly.. I got crab meat udon soup, very delicious with rich crab flavors. My sister got the special Pho for the day. Everything is delicious until we tried the coconut coffee, tbh.. we don't like the fact of coconut flakes and the texture of coconut cream, we expected the fresh coco water and fresh coco meat assorted with coffee. However, the coffee part was really good. If we have our next visit, I rather get only Ca phe sua da itself :) .. love the ambiance, beautiful decoration..! read more
I've been here a few times and I've enjoyed it every time! They don't have a large menu item, but they've definitely perfected the ones they do have. I always get the shaking beef and roasted chicken with rice with the mini pancakes. So yummy! We had a really pleasant experience with the staff as they've been really kind and attentive. One of the staff members offered us a drink on the house because of the long wait. Really appreciate that they care about their customers! read more
So good! I went back haha the week of even. My first time having this dish but it came really well together. The baguette, the meats, the egg, and the slight acidity from the tomato all worked really well. The steak is also cooked really nicely too. The staff do work to get you seated pretty quickly. An area for improvement could definitely be the service. The food does roll out pretty fast too! read more
Absolutely sensational viet restaurant in Sac. They were very very busy! But Yelp made getting on the wait list easy. Once seated the service was very fast. I got was I would describe as a deconstructed bahn mi. The flavors were awesome and the baguette was very nice. The decor of the place is very modern and quite fancy. I've had Saigon Oi bookmarked for awhile and finally got a chance to try it. I almost missed the chance because we came about 15 mins before closing and the waitress didn't want to seat us, but we ended up being able to get a table. We ordered the Banh Mi Chao ($19) based off of recommendations from others, and the Banh Canh Cua ($18), based off the recommendation from the waitress. The Banh Mi Cao comes in a pan with filet mignon, pate, fried eggs, meat ball, tomatoes, and pork roll. It also comes with a small, fresh baguette on the side. The filet was tender and the flavors were good. The pate was interesting, but everything together was good. The Banh Canh Cua is a bowl of udon soup with crab meat, shrimp, quail eggs, and fish cake. It was good. I liked the shrimp and quail eggs. The crab meat was small, but still good. The customer service from our waitress was cold. I had to ask another worker questions and for table items. I felt rushed throughout the entire dining experience making it a lot less enjoyable. On the plus side, our food came out quick, lol! I guess there's a benefit to them wanting you out fast. We were looking for pho, but ended up here. We were not disappointed by any means. Bánh Mì Chảo is a must get here. I can eat this everyday. Tender steak pieces, sautéed onions, sunny side up egg make this dish amazing. Also tried Bún riêu today. Generous plate of sprouts and greens. Very filling. Sea snails in the soup were a surprise. Loved the pillowy fried tofu. Service was excellent. It's been over a year since we've been here. Hope to be back sooner next time. read more

Com Do Beef is where it's at here! Well seasoned steak with peppers and onions, served with red rice. Not too spicy but has a little kick and just enough tang to keep you grabbing more, delicious! Also like the Banh Xeo pancakes, extra crispy with shrimp and served with leafy greens and herbs, great bite of food. Service is prompt and staff will answer whatever you need. In a strip mall so you should find parking, can be a bit busy tho so exercise patience. Restaurant is clean and they have a lot of plants and decor to make it warm and unique, good date spot. Plan on coming back to try something else, 4/5 and worth the pull up. read more
Came here for lunch with a friend this past Sunday. Saigon Oi was on my bookmarks since they serve banh xeo and I really wanted to try their version. We arrived just after 12pm and the place was filled up! We had to join the waitlist (15th in line) and waited about 15 minutes at most. The inside has a lot of brick and wood accents, reminding me of an industrial dance studio. We ordered: Banh khot - These were ordered BECAUSE the banh xeo is not served on weekends! Criii... but they were tasty and refreshing so I have no complaints on this dish. Bo ne (banh mi chao) - My friend ordered this one because we figured it is the most seafood-less item. However, we think the meatball they add in this dish might have used fish sauce because she started feeling the effects of her allergy. Xoi thap cam - This is the sticky rice you usually see wrapped up in banana leaf at the Vietnamese convenience stores. We should have asked for the dried shrimp on the side and we had to dig around to avoid adding ammo to my friend's allergy lol Service was good as we were always asked if we needed more water. We didn't realize we're suppose to pay up at the cashier, so it was a little awkward when we kept chatting and no one notified us about the payment method. A friend recommended this spot to me and I'm so glad we got to try it. We went around 2pm on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded. We started with the fish sauce chicken wings and egg rolls. Both were super tasty. I ordered the crab meat udon soup. It comes in this sizzling pot so the meal was super hot as I was eating it. The dish was super filling as there were lots of fish cakes. We all enjoyed the meal and found it super tasty. I loved the opportunity to eat dishes that I don't get to order very often. read more
I'm surprised I haven't written a review here yet bc I've been numerous times! I like to bring people here bc the interior cute and food is good. I like their bo ne. Love the bread that comes with it. BBH is alright, I get it when I don't feel like bo ne. I like the meatball they give with the BBH. We did get their crab meat fried rice once and it was way too salty. Price is kind of high for quantity. Service is nothing spectacular. They do have someone who's usually working behind the register and he's very nice and conversational. read more

Came here post-snowboard weekend trip and it hit the spot! A lot of my friends describe this place as the "Nep Cafe" of NorCal. I think it's similar but has more traditional dishes with modern plating. FOOD: I love how simple their menu is! You know food is going to taste good when they only have a few items on their menu because they probably spend a lot of time perfecting them. We can here with a large party and we tried everything! My favorites included: - Banh Mi Chao: This is basically a deconstructed banh mi on a skillet that comes with a whole French roll. This dish is on the heavier side but so favorable and delicious in such a simple way. - Banh Canh Cua: This was so homey after a weekend on the slopes! The flavor was spot on and not too salty, and it had the perfect amount of crab and seafood. The complaint I have is that the noodles were too choppy. - Coconut Slushy with Viet Coffee: this was so good, the perfect coconut texture that tones the viet coffee down just the perfect amount and not too sweet. AMBAINCE: The restaurant is very cutely decorated to emulate the streets of Siagon. They even a picture of Ben Thanh Market (that we've been too!) painted on the wall. They have a variety of tables of various sizes. SERVICE: Our food came out so fast! Staff also very knowledgable and friendly. Verdict: would recommend! :) read more

This is my go-to Vietnamese brunch spot in Sacramento! I absolutely love the atmosphere of the restaurant -- they always play chill, lofi cafe music and I love the modern Vietnamese decor. The menu isn't extensive, but everything is yummy since they have time to focus on the quality of each dish. I almost always order the Banh Mi Chao, which is one of their most popular dishes. It comes in a sizzling cast iron pan so your food is kept hot the whole time. It's so so yummy when you pile every piece of the dish on your banh mi and eat it in one bite. This dish is pretty heavy so I will share with someone else sometimes. My other favorite dish here would have to be the banh khot. It's always perfectly crispy and the coconut flavor stands out a lot. You really can't go wrong with ordering anything here. The service can be a little slow with how busy it gets. ~TIPS!!~ Make sure to arrive at opening time because there is almost always a line in the morning! You can also sign up on the Yelp waitlist. I stopped by here a few times late in the day and many of their dishes were sold out much to my disappointment. Finally, I had a day off and hustled over to see what the hype was all about. It so happens that I was smiling from ear to ear because I finally found another Viet place to put in my rotation! Banh Khot - mini crispy as heck medallions with large than life shrimps on top. Best I have ever had. The mints and herbs that accompany it truly accentuate the authentic flavors I expect in my dreams. Fish sauce wings - sweet, crispy, juicy all at the same time. Taste buds are activated and saliva juices flow with each bite to keep up. It's good. Shaken Beef with rice - tender beef, onions, peppers with a side of crispy end rice that I couldn't get enough of! I am coming back and trying the rest of their menu!! read more
Saw this on Tiktok as one of the up and coming restaurant that was worth trying in Sacramento and decided to come here after it was on the way back from a road trip! There was a Yelp waitlist that you can join online as I saw wait times could be up to an hour on the weekends. I liked that you didn't have to be a certain distance to join as I was an hour away and the wait was estimated up to 70 mins as it was perfect timing by the time I got there. The food came out fast and hot. Got the Banh Mi Chao and the Bo Luc Lac which were amazing. The plate was sizzling with the smell of fresh bread as it reached to the table. The beef was tender and had lots of flavor. You can tell they put time into the food they cook here. Inside of the restaurant, there were a lot of decorations and had many picture opportunities. The food here is incredible. This place gets poppin on the weekends! Be sure to join the waitlist on Yelp. The Bahn Mi Chao is so full of flavor and our fav. Bo Luc Lac is also so good but honestly I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. read more

WOWOWOWOW what a gem! The vibe, the decor, the food. Seriously everything was so good! As someone who has never been to Vietnam, I imagine SaigonOi! to feel like a modern version of it. It was clean and spacious. And the food was superb! The only downside was the wait - so be prepared or go early! We got: - Chicken Wings - the best thing we had! - Salted Egg Fried Rice - my favorite of the two fried rices but both are delicious in their own way - Crab Fried Rice - Banh Xeo - yummm - Banh Mi Chao - surprisingly delicious; the mix of bread, meat, egg and sauce is freaking fire! - Banh Khot - very hot so be careful when eating! - Coconut Coffee - this was the most surprising win of the day! This restaurant always has a line out the door when I go past it and now that I have, it all makes sense. Their menu is concise and they make all their dishes with care and quality. We had their banh cua and bo loc luc. Both were perfect portions, beautifully plated, and all aspects of the dish were well done. Great service and great food! The menu is pretty simple and limited. My husband got the Bò Lúc Lắc and I got the Xôi Thập Cẩm. Dishes were really tasty. My dish had just a few slices of pork and the plate was mainly rice, but the toppings/seasonings in the dish itself made it really tasty. My husband really liked the red rice in his dish. We went on a Thursday around 4pm and it wasn't too busy and the service was great. So glad we tried this place out, lots of unique flavors and something different! Definitely recommend! read more

The food was so good that I'm still thinking about it hours later. I haven't had banh khot in a while so I had to try this out. The food came out in a handheld cast iron pan that held each circle individually, which means extra crispy but not too oily. The lettuce & herbs were very fresh which paired well with the dipping sauce. I used the entire sauce because it was so tasty. We ordered the banh canh cua (crab meat udon soup) and the soup cua (crab soup). They had delicious bits of crab - pretty chunky, warm, and nice balance of pepper. The smaller crab soup had a perfectly cooked black egg in it that was a fun surprise. The server was attentive and checked on us. Loved the decor inside, where it was a mix of booth seating and tables. The pricing is higher for neighboring Viet restaurants but it's not surprising because of the modern ambiance and food quality like crab. Parking was plentiful and I got vip parking in front. There are tons of restaurants and eateries in the complex so you can certainly jump around to get dessert. read more
Food here has always been so good and authentic. The presentation is beautiful, and the portion sizes are a good amount. The restaurant itself reminds me of the cafes in Vietnam, lots of greenery, and makes it feel like you're outside. My go to dish is definitely the banh mi chao -- this is a good one if you don't know what to get or if this is your first time. Today, I ordered the xoi thap cam. It was packed with flavor and the sticky rice texture was perfect and compacted. Me and my bf shared a banh khot, and it was freshly hot, and the veggies that we paired with it was super fresh. Cannot recommend this place enough for people who want a taste of Vietnamese food that isn't pho, banh mi, or com tam. Every time I go, I make sure to order the banh mi chao (sizzling steak breakfast plate), banh khot, and banh canh cua. The food is fresh, well seasoned, well made, and super filling. The service is always great too, and the servers are attentive. The decor and ambiance itself is super cute, feels very warm and bright. Stop by early to avoid crowds on weekends and don't be afraid to try their weekend specials. My favorite was when they had chao long! read more
Every time I come here I can never just order 1 dish. I have many favorites here and I always gotta have them. This place is a bit tiny but can pack a few groups, they are quick here, nice waiters and waitresses, food always hits, and I'm always full leaving with leftovers every time. read more

Modernized Vietnamese food with beautiful presentations and complex flavors will have you feeling enlightened on their innovation and tastes. Located in a mesh of a mall full of Vietnamese and other Asian shops, you'll find Saigon Oi frequented by many locals as one of their top lunch spots. This bustling place can be challenging to find parking nearby during peak hours but they share a huge parking lot with the entire mall so you're bound to find something, albeit with a little walking. While the place isn't too big, it seems to fit a good number of people with how the seats and tables are arranged. As a party of five, we were able to secure a spot but they also take reservations on Yelp to help minimize some of the stress for bigger parties. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staff and seated with menus and waters. They were very friendly, patient, and helpful in describing the menu items and providing recommendations. The menu is pretty simple with just a few key items. Each of their dishes is uniquely crafted to resemble a classic dish with a bit of a new take on it. For example, one of their specialties is the deconstructed banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), banh mi chao, which is what I ended up ordering. The ingredients are served in a hot cast iron pan and paired with a loaf of their delicious baguette. Reconstruct it or eat it separately, dipping your bread in the rich sauce and juices, with each bite filled with their succulent meats. Divine! They also have a delicious mix of sticky rice, xoi thap cam, and a crab udon noodle soup dish (banh canh cua). These were also excellent options but as a first timer, that deconstructed banh mi is a must get. We also ordered a portion of their egg rolls and they were crispy and great for the kids as finger food. Overall, the Saigon Oi is worth the trip and the slightly higher prices because you're not just coming here for delicious food but the innovative approach to their dishes makes it a unique dining experience. You come here with an open stomach and an open mind, you'll leave satiated yet high in anticipation for the next time you're back. I look forward to coming back for another taste! read more
My husband and I arrived around 10:30 on a Saturday and the place was already packed! Their menu is small but the food was outstanding. I love me a good banh canh and theirs had tons of real crab, shrimp, and meatballs. Their cha gio was delicious and humongous. I just wish it came with fish sauce instead of the sweet chili sauce. My husband got the bo ne which we both agreed was also very good and came with a whole baguette. Our plates were wiped clean! Banh Mi Chao is a must!!! The beef, egg, pate and all the other fixings mixed together is heaven! It comes with a side of fresh bread that dip the food in and make the meal more fulfilling! Another hit is their banh khot. Little savory pancakes that's topped with a shrimp. Use the fresh lettuce to wrap each little banh knot in and dunk it in the fish sauce and into your mouth!! Instant gratification, esp when you're super hungry! Can't believe they've been open for quite sometime and I've never been here! The food is authentic and delicious. We had Vietnamese Pancake and the Vietnamese Shaking Beef. Both were amazing, better than most Vietnamese eateries in the Bay Area. The food is freshly cooked at the time of the order. The meats and vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My friend had the drink: Tropical fruit with cream cheese jello, topped with sliced almond. She was like a kid who found Christmas gift, so thrilled and happy. Service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. (Sorry, I didn't get his name.) The restaurant is very comfortable, clean and inviting. An excellent restaurant. We will be back! read more

Yes we can make it with tofu. Banh xeo is only available Monday-Fridays and we recommend to call ahead to make sure we have the ingredients to make it for you.
Is the crab soup keto friendly (meaning no sugar, flour, or cornstarch added)?
I don't think so. It's super thick, like gravy. That tells me they used cornstarch to thicken the soup.

I didn't see any on the menu. I would say probably just the sweet potato fries or the regular french fries.
