Return to this place last night for the first time since the end of the so-called pandemic. Had but I always get the Pho Tai I swear it gets better every time I have it and it's what I always order. My wife had the chicken and dumpling soup was really good also. We also ordered an appetizer for the first time of shrimp shumai it was excellent. This is my family's favorite when we come visit. It is still yummy and fresh to go. We love to order pho, banh mi, coffee, and lemon grass pork chops. The customer service is fast, easy, and friendly. The food is authentic and delicious. The place is clean and convenient. Definitely recommend and will come back again. Thanks to my yelp family, I saw this restaurant pop up on my feed over the last few weeks and finally got a chance to try it. I was so pleased that there is a place that serves banh mi, rice dishes, bubble tea and pho so close in the south burbs! The first thing you will notice is the friendly, sincere service. My waiter was very kind and went out of his way to accommodate my high-maintenance requests; it was 3:15pm and I wanted to know if I could get the $7.95 lunch special though I was 15 mins late. He checked with the kitchen and yes! No problem. Then I asked if he could make my bubble tea with coconut milk instead of half and half. Yes! No problem either. Wow. The restaurant itself is simple and straightforward...a small dining room where you can be waited on, or carryout a meal. I believe they also deliver. Getting to the food, I was not disappointed. The soup that comes with the lunch special is so tasty. It's full of fresh and crunchy vegetables and the right amount of pepper and salt. My grilled shrimp in oyster sauce was delicious and a good amount of food. The shrimp was perfectly marinated and didn't have a trace of oil. The fish sauce that accompanied it was not smelly like some other places I've had it at...the blend was between tangy and sweet. Lots of crisp green onions were piled onto the rice, making it a unique flavor twist. The bubble tea hit home--soft and chewy tapioca, the right amount of coconut milk blended with taro. At the end of the meal I got a nice surprise-slices of watermelon and grapes. They really go the extra distance here!! This is the place to come for healthy, tasty, authentic Vietnamese food served by friendly folks. I'll be coming again...to try their bahn mi and other lunch specials. read more

Saigon is a hidden gem in Tinley Park. While everyone is waiting in line next door at the Blueberry Hill Cafe, come over to this legendary establishment. The owner (we just call him "Boss") is one cool dude who will make sure you are completely satisfied. I highly recommend anything here (G1 is a nice taste of everything). You can't go wrong. Small family run restaurant that has lots of interesting things on the menu. A friend suggested that I try them because their Pho game is super legit. I opted for the dumpling soup (not my meal), the pan fried chix dumplings and the grilled pork chop/sausage entree (DAC Biet Saigon Com Suon). Finished the order with a coconut smoothie (more on that later). Placing the order was nice. The gentleman made light conversation and seemed genuinely interested in taking my order. He offered a cup of hot tea wile I waited. Saw dishes coming out of the kitchen to tables dining in and when I asked what they were he took the time to explain them to me. This, in my opinion, really sets them apart from other places. Gracious hospitality in a little shop. Nicely packed bag of food brought out to the table I was sitting at. Home I went. Packaging of food was excellent. Nothing spilled, everything ready to open and eat. Food tasted great and I loved the Dac Biet dish. Been looking for a great Bahn Mi place on the southside and just found this gem. Been around for a long time and with reason. We had the beef and tilapia bahn mi which were both excellent. The bread had a great crunch as we bit into it and the meat was well marinated. We also had the veggie fried wontons and the basil shrimp fried rice. The wontons had fresh veggies inside and tasted great. The fried rice had full leaves of basil. All in all great place to try some Vietnamese and Thai food. We're definitely going back to try some other goodies!!! read more

Family run, home made feel, so yummy. We have a favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Philly and this one made us feel like we were home. We had Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup) and it was super flavorful. Also enjoyed chicken spring rolls with peanut sauce and a taro smoothie. The sweet woman who waited on us deserves a hug for the hard work she does. The young son is an added entertainment bonus. Food was just ok, we ate inside as we were hoping for a nice sit down dinner, but inside is more of carry out style and definitely not lovely seating. Lemon Chicken was incredibly salty! I read the good reviews but my food was far from good. The rice has a smell. The orange chicken taste like chicken nuggets with a sauce. I gave them three stars because it said Asian cuisine. Probably more vietnamese than chinese food. So this may have been my mistake. I do admit the staff is very nice. Bathrooms very clean. I paid $9. So I lost out. This place was great, I had beef pho and my girlfriend had the noodles with chicken. We ordered shrimp spring rolls to start and they came out fairly quick with a very tasty dipping sauce. After we finished those we were served our soups. The broth was both aromatic and flavorful, the serving size was great I couldn't quite finish all of the soup even though I was quite hungry. The man who served us I believe was the owner and he was kind and attentive. He even offered to refill the broth for the noodles with chicken since my girlfriend had finished most of the broth despite the fact that we wanted to take it to go, very kind of him. Overall the eating experience here was a positive one. If you are in the mood for Vietnamese food I would recommend this spot for sure. read more

I enjoy Pho soups. I purchased the Steak Pho and it was very delicious. The steak was cooked perfect the side items that you put into the soup are delicious including bean sprouts , jalapeños, and mint. My only disappointment is that their was a minimal amount of meat in the soup. I also tried the Vietnamese iced coffee and it is very yummy but very strong! Recently moved to the area and my neighbor recommended this place. I now eat here probably twice a week - it's that good. My go to order lately has been rhe seafood pho and some salt and pepper fish to split with the wife. We always are left satisfied and feeling good. I've been looking for another place in the south burbs to get pho and my sis n law recommended this place. It's pretty good! We used our gps to find the place but it took us to a neighborhood . So make sure you look for it off of 179th and Lagrange rd. (right by Arby's ) The hubbs and I got the beef pho, shrimp spring rolls, lychee smoothie and grilled beef banh mi. This place has been open close to a month now. It is a small eat in or take out Vietnamese asian food joint. Nothing fancy really because its a place to stop in for a quick bite of good old fashion vietnamese comfort food. Thai food is also on the menu but I have yet to try that. My fav so far is the Beef Pho soup. Now that the weather has changed I can't think of a better to warm up with a nice hot bowl of soup. It has a nice beef broth that takes hours to make, the flavor is excellent and surprisingly not too greasy. Nice slices of beef & meatballs, rice noodles, onion, thai basil, sprouts, and chili's. Turn up the heat with some Sriracha sauce. Man is it good. I tried the seafood soup and it was not as good as the Pho, go figure I like meat more than fish. The place is clean and the staff is friendly, nice people. The quality of food will bring me back for more. read more
