    Chicken Banh Mi-Sandwich so good
    Kim K.

First off I'm new here to town and with the reviews this place has it's just what I wanted after having a stomach bug. I love pho and I am used to a no meat version being less expensive then one with meat so that's the first issue so my bill was $31 with tip. Then also wanted a chicken bahn mi sandwich and that was epic and so delicious. I barely even touched my pho becuz the broth was super watery and no amount of fish sauce soy sauce hoisin and siracha could transform it. The owner was busy and so I didn't want to stress anyone out with his new trainee.....So Yelp is what brought me so to Yelp I go and hopefully the owner will invite me back to try his pho again otherwise I may come back but it won't be for the pho. For 30 I was hoping to get two meals out of it but it didn't happen.

I am the Vietnamese. Today while I was in the area of DeBarry / Orange City, I search for a Vietnamese food near me and it shows Saigon Sizzle. I order the #17 - Mì gõ - aka Egg noodle soup - about 5 minutes later, the food arrives. The pork meat - thịt xá xíu is too old, it would have been in refrigerator for more than a week? Not only the meat does not taste fresh, it has the old smell as it was there and it was about to spoil. The broth would also old as it tastes salty. The restaurant restroom also looks dirty. Maybe no one has ordered this type of dish of Mì gõ so the food has stayed left over for a while. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone

On this rare cold Florida day, I was in search of pho. Consulting my trusty Yelp app Lee me and my husband to Saigon Sizzle in Orange City. Located in a shopping center next to a nail salon, Saigon Sizzle is an unassuming small but quaint restaurant with a handful of tables. It's clean with a few hints of Oriental decor (my favorites were the big and little bao figurines with smiley faces!). The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and very helpful in helping my husband and I decide what to order as we looked at the picture menu on the counter. We decided to order the Chickie bao bao for an appetizer- very flavorful! My husband ordered the Piggy rice box with chicken and kept commenting how fresh it was noting, "This is just what I was after." This as also the first time he had shrimp chips and he delighted in how light and crispy they were. I ordered the chicken pho and enjoyed warming up with this filling soup. We'll definitely be back!

So I had a taste for some Pho. Found this place on yelp. Looked good, ordered takeout since it was close to closings time. Egg rolls (pork), on point they were well cooked and crispy, with great flavor. Porky Bao, these were absolutely delicious! Pork was succulent and full of great flavor. I'd make a couple of orders of these as an entree. Chicken Pho, oh this hit the spot. Just what I was wanting. Flavorful and more than I expected since this was a "to go" order. It was packed separately pho broth was in a separate container from the pho chicken, noodles and toppings. So much was included, limes, sauces, chopsticks and even the spoon! Thai tea, was great too! A definite recommendation and winner in my book!

I've eaten here a few times, always takeout/delivery. I was so excited when this place opened up in Orange City! It is nice to have a Vietnamese place nearby finally. Every other time I've ordered from here I've ordered the Vegetarian Pho and a different appetizer. The Vegetarian Pho is good. I've had their Veggie Spring Rolls the filling tastes mushy, I would not recommend them. Today I ordered the Pork Noodle Box and it was amazing! The box comes with a good amount of food too. It comes with Cucumber Salad and Shrimp Chips, both were really good and compliment the main dish. I also got the Summer rolls, they were okay but the sauce just tasted like peanut butter. I wouldn't order it again. I would recommend the Noodle Box's they are really good, the Pho here is okay. Overall I would definitely come back for one of the noodle/rice boxes it seems like these are their best items on the menu.

Great Vietnamese food! Stopped by for lunch on Saturday (they're closed Sunday ! Heads up!) and ordered everything. The menu is on the window outside and also on the counter top. Everything is accompanied by a photo so you know what to expect. All the employees speak English. We started with the crab rangoons because they were not star shaped, but rather dumpling shaped, so I knew they wouldn't be cheap on the filling. We also got the crab dumplings, which are shaped like shumai and had a lot of filling. The summer rolls were as expected. The fried seaweed rolls were my favorite- salty and spicy! Very unique. For lunch I had the banh mi. It was delicious. Full of pork! The bread was crusty and light, lined with some mayonnaise like sauce and sliced cucumbers. There were shredded carrots as well. Delicious sandwich, filling, would order this again and again. Dad got the chicken rice bowl- good portion, he did not finish it. Both items came with a couple shrimp chips, which was fun. They have fish sauce on request, otherwise the apps all came with sweet and sour sauce, the summer rolls with peanut sauce. I tried their Vietnamese iced coffee and loved it. So I decided to get the hazelnut flavored one. I don't typically get Vietnamese coffee because I find it to be too sweet. This one was perfect. I appreciate how she offered me a sample before so I could try it before I bought it. There's plenty of indoor seating; I did not see any tables outside. It's in a strip mall with a small sliver of sidewalk out there, so that may not be allowed. There are bathrooms and free iced tap water available. They have chopsticks and plastic utensils to choose from. They have cooler with bottled water and some sodas, didn't see any alcohol. We were very pleased with all the food we ordered. It was all delivered to our table as we waited. The chef came out to speak with us in the end, which was a nice touch. It's family run- the chefs wife dropped off some items while we were there and I think the gal at the register is their daughter. Definitely check this place out! It is very casual but it's good. They do take out as well.

Who knew I'd find comforting Vietnamese food across from the Speedway!…read more I had just flown into Daytona Beach and, after settling into my hotel room, I came to Mama's Kitchen for dinner. Right away, we were greeted by a young lady and gentleman, and were directed to sit at one of the tables. The restaurant was clean and spacious. They had a cute little Vietnamese cart in the middle of the restaurant to bring a bit of Vietnam into its design. They also had a wall with a beautiful drawing. We ordered a few things from their menu, starting off with egg rolls and Bahn Mi with sweet potato fries. Whatever dip it came with was delicious - and that's coming from someone who doesn't like the orange sweet potatoes! We also ordered entrees such as their Bo Kho and Bo Ne. Both stews were delicious. For drinks, we had a Tamarind drink and a Kumquat drink - both of which were refreshing. Overall, I really liked the food here. And the decor was simple and the service was attentive. The gentleman who brought our food out was also very careful with making sure there were no peanuts in any of our dishes. I'd love to come back here again on my next visit and try a new dish!

We did not order any beverages other than water. The service was very slow and I almost got up to remind our server that we had ordered food and were still waiting. I sampled my wife's pho and found it had a good flavor. The tendon and tripe were over cooked and a bit mushy. The other meats were cooked ok. The plate of condiments (bean sprouts, basil and peppers) were very skippy. At $18, I felt the Pho needed to be better. At $20, the Bo Ne lacked in a few areas and following this dining experience I probably wouldn't order it again. First off, I ordered this dish because it looked good and from the picture. On the menu it says "Vietnamese beef tenderloin" on the menu. The dish I was served looked much different than what I saw on the menu. The pickled carrots and radish must of had the day off on this night. Back to the tenderloin. In my years as a chef, I will tell you that there is only one piece of meat that is more tender than any other cut of meat from the cow and that is the tenderloin. What was served me was closer related to a tough cut or sirloin that tightened up so much when cooked, that every piece of meat I had to chew and chew to get past the grizzle. Once chewed, I needed to remove the meat from my mouth. See picture of the bread basket for the remnants of their so called beef tenderloin. The sauce that the meat was swimming in had a good taste. The liver pate was bland and was melting away into the sauce of the dish. One positive note about the experience is that the bread was superb! We may go back again sometime in the future but not any time soon.

Our server quickly brought our rolls and the soup accompaniments. The Summer Rolls were typical. I thought that the wrapping was a bit chewy, but they were full and flavorful. The peanut sauce was a bit thick, but tasty. Our soups arrived, and boy, the broth smelled great! I quickly got a spoon to taste, and it was excellent!
