I've been researching luxury bags over the last 3 weeks and today I went to the mall to see them in person. I had an idea of a few brands I wanted to check out. I went into the store and was nervous because I had never been into a high end store before besides the outlet ones at Great Mall. I was immediately greeted by Roosevelt and felt wat better. Roosevelt was welcoming and knowledgeable. I talked about what style purse I was looking for and was shown the various options. I said I wanted to take some time to check out other bags and think about my purchase so I left to walk around the mall. I eventually went back and purchased the bag I had been wanting. With that being said I've dealt witty plenty of associates who are amazing and some who are anything but welcoming. He shows knowledge in the product and he knows what his style is which helps me as a client able to make decisions easily. If i rated the products I would say 5 stars but 4 for the location. I would say if you are genuinely interested in purchasing something this place is great but if just randomly browsing you may not get the best attention. I went in on both scenarios and the time I needed something I got 5 star service from a blonde lady (I forgot her name). I like the large space and the fact that they carry a more extensive women's selection. I would rather drive myself all the way to San Francisco to deal with a more accommodating and professional staff. The women of the store didn't have much to say despite being the only Customer there. A male member of the staff was the only one to address me, and gave me juvenile greeting "need help my man?" When I expressed interest in something I may not come across in SF, he responded with "Uhh ya, women's stuff" And had little to no follow up after that. This store is so beautiful. When you enter you see an amazing wall full of purses, shoes and bags. There is a ready to wear section to the left and aisles of wallets. I came in here today looking for some sunglasses and even though it was pretty empty I wasn't bum rushed by the all the sales professionals. I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Shishi. I wanted something understated but trendy. Problem for me is my head is small so the default choice of Ray Bans don't look as good on me as the rest of the world. Shishi listened to me and let me talk before she recommended the SL83 & Classic 28. Omg! they both fit exceptionally well I could not decide between the two. Shishi was kind and soft spoken as she told me the benefits of both and how to incorporate the sunglasses into my current wardrobe. While trying to figure out which one I should take she asked me if I saw the latest collection they had. I don't keep up too much with the brand so I was kinda hesitant I was falling into a sales pitch... however, instead of following her around the boutique she just stood there and asked me more questions about my wardrobe like if there were any wants in my closet needs (like the sunglasses) and I told her I wanted some shoes. She showed me these Jordan looking sneakers and I never liked Jordans but these looked pretty cool. I started to get curious and off track and started looking at wallets. There are so many things Saint Laurent has that I want now. The best thing about this experience was that even though I didn't make a purchase Shishi was so welcoming. She was so knowledgeable about the product and genuine in her approach you could tell by her body language. I told her I was gonna think about it before committing and she said she understood and wanted to take my information down so she could keep in touch and email me pictures and facts about what I looked at today to show to my friends for another opinion! Unfortunately during the entire time of our interaction, the sales lady had a very condescending tone whenever I asked her questions about a green velvet bag. She had a lackluster attitude and didn't seem like she wanted to help us at all (probably just an inexperienced Gen. Z kid who had no professional work skills). It was my first time at this location shopping my experience was okay. I later went home and realize they gave me a defective/use purse. I called since it had only been two days and the women on the phone was kind and said they can do an exchange. When I arrive to the store and explain to the SA how the bag had peeling leather he inspected the bag and then said he will be back and brought out a different purse. He showed me a very scratched logo used bag! I told him if he can bring out another one his face changed knowing what he was trying to pull on me didn't work. The next bag he brought out was also in used shaped at this point I was shocked at the poor customer service I received for the price I paid. Finally I settle for one it still has minor detail issues but I can work with it. All I have to say is INSPECT YOUR ITEM THROUGHLY they do try and sale used defective bags first. I visited this store on Saturday, October 7th to buy myself a nice bag for my birthday. I was immediately helped in store and found a bag I really loved. The bag in stock was not the color I had wanted so the store associate, Shishi, offered to order it in gray for me at no cost. She said it would be 3-4 business days and then she'd give me a call or text so I can come see it and make a final decision. 4 business days go by and I haven't heard anything so I decide to call in. Shishi states that it's in transit and she will make sure to send me a text when it's received, she believed it would be there the next day or day after. 2 more days go by (5 business days + 1 Saturday total), and I haven't heard. I call and get the same response again. OK, fine. Today is now the 8th business day (11 days total), and I haven't heard. I call back. Shishi answers the phone and I inquire about the bag. Her response was somewhere along these lines a she laughs a bit: "Oh yes, we got it in yesterday but it's a darker grey than expected as they have discontinued the light gray." I asked if she still had it in store and she said they sent it back because it's not the right gray... I told her It would have been nice if you had let me know that anything had arrived and given me a chance to come see it and make a decision for myself. Not to mention, you'd think that she'd be up to date on which colors are discontinued. Now almost two weeks later, I'm bagless, and will have to start the entire process over-- just not at the Valley Fair location- you can bet I'll be dragging myself all the way to San Francisco... I'm honestly surprised I'm still willing to buy a YSL bag after this. Little did Shishi know, I was planning on buying that medium Rive Gauche, along with a matching wallet and the shopping tote bag... a lost sale totaling ~$4,000. read more

Had a great experience yesterday! Purchased my first Saint Laurent bag - small lou lou on chain. I was greeted as soon as I walked in with my 5 year old and was treated so well. They even put me in a room with multiple mirrors so I can see how the bag looked on me from multiple angles. Even offered my daughter and I water! Highly recommend this store. Thank you ladies!!! Ended up upgrading my bag to the medium loulou. However, a couple months later, the bag is falling apart. I'm hoping to take it in and get a refund. What a disappointment. Saint Laurent will not let you return anything your purchase from them, they will only give a store credit with a very strict return policy.Do not buy a bag from any Saint Laurent boutique Went to the San Jose/ Westfield Valley fair location and off of Stevens Creek and purchased a wallet and envelope bag for approximately $2900.00 and the bag went on Sale in November for 30% off and Saint Laurent would not give me any kind of price adjustment. Had I known that they had a sale coming in November which supposedly they have every year I would've save myself $700.00 of my hard earned money. My recommendation to all of you people that earn your money and want to pay for luxury purchases is to shop at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus since they have a more lenient price adjustment and return policy. Don't ever shop here if you know that they will not honor a price adjustment nor will they ever give you your money back if anything happens with the bag. read more

I must admit, when I find something so good, I sometimes hesitate to share it because I want it all to myself. I would never have expected a Saint Laurent store to open in San Jose, but I nearly sprinted over when I saw the sign on the exterior of the building. The retail space is totally zen, and every single member of the staff from the store director to all of the sales associates, go above and beyond to help me find exactly what I want, or even just share some information about the brand. I'd previously only shopped at the boutiques in Paris, including the one on Rue du Faubourg St Honore, but I've been so pleased with the personalized, yet relaxed service at this location that I wouldn't consider shopping elsewhere. I came into this store a few months ago looking for jodhpur boots. Sissa helped me out and showed me the boots that they had available. She was knowledgeable and friendly and brought me several different sizes so I could get the perfect fit. Unfortunately, the size I ended up needing wasn't available in store, but Sissa was able to reserve the right size for me in San Francisco. I later picked up the boots in SF, and the entire process went very smoothly. Fast forward a month or so, I came back looking for some D02s. Unfortunately, the wash I wanted wasn't available. I ran into Sissa again, and she showed me their new collection. I asked her for some suggestions, and she picked out some items that she thought would work well with my style. I ended up trying on one of their denim jackets, a flannel western shirt, and their L17 leather jacket. And now I want all of those pieces! The L17 is especially nice, and I now understand the hype around Saint Laurent's leathers. If you're interested in Saint Laurent's menswear, this place is worth a stop. I'd also highly recommend checking out the SF location since they have a larger ready-to-wear collection. Both this location and the SF location have a relaxed atmosphere, and I don't feel any pressure from the staff, which is really nice. That being said- What I love about Saint Laurent at this location is that it's intimate and feels very focused in comparison with other locations. Everytime I am here, I am greeted with respect and I find exactly what I am looking for whether it be sunglasses or sweater (which are my main investments).
