At the register in front of the cashier is a bunch of coupons not for their store but for other stores in the mall. The cashier didn't offer it to me, I seen them while standing there and questioned her what the coupons was for. Dang I have to ask to get a coupon offer... Regardless of The Who's the coupon for it should in the realm of what the cashiers do is to offer it up to each customer she comes in contact with . Part of her customer service task. Purchased my replacements of the 20L Backpack and Tote bag in different colors. I purchased 2 Microlight down jackets for me and Mom. I am glad that this store offers great products especially I like the design of the bags that I use for the everyday commute. I loved the idea of a tote bag because it provides a lot of storage space when I do errands after work. So convenient, useful, and very durable. The bag products will last more than 10 years when I clean them and take care of these products. The employee treats you nicely and professionally. Awesome customer service. Purchased a hooded microlight down jacket just over a year ago and after a few uses noticed that a zipper piece was hanging off (it seems like part of the retaining pin and had split and was not sewn onto the jacket properly). I am a longtime believer in Eddie Bauer products and this was my first issue with any of their apparel. I emailed Customer Service and they recommended bringing it to a local store or mailing it back to them for an assessment to see if I was eligible for a warranty exchange. I brought it to this store today and Paul, the manager, took a careful look at it and confirmed that it was eligible for a warranty exchange and was happy to assist with a 1:1 exchange! I also observed his kind demeanor with his sales associates. All in all, a fantastic experience. Great leadership, friendly staff, well-stocked store. You have earned a customer for life! read more

My return to the store was prompted by the receipt of a reward certificate from the Adventure Reward Program. I found a wallet. I asked if it would be OK if I tried placing my junk, oh I mean my ever important belongings into it. The employees said it would be alright. My junk, whoops stuff fit nicely. Interesting the same wallet was $4 more on their website. In speaking with Paul he told me EVERYTHING in this store is on sale. This is a true outlet store. You will not pay their retail price. Cool, I like deals. Eddie Bauer stands by their merchandise and will let you return items within a year! I interacted with Paul and Simran and both of them gave me great customer service with a smile. read more

We went in today for our Christmas shopping list! we finally found what we were looking for but this staff member with no name tag was awfully rude as we did unfold a couple of the shirts to look for the size we needed but instead of waiting for us to finish she budged in very rudely taking all the shirts we were looking at to organize. Thankfully Zoe did ring us up and was very nice and helpful which we were much more happy. I wish I have gotten the other female staff members name who was such an unfriendly staff. read more

I visited on Sept 2, shortly after the mall reopened and it was pretty dead for the most part. Eddie Bauer was one of the stores I need to go to, I was greeted by Amanda and she told me about the promotions that they were having in the store. I had a great shopping experience, thanks to Amanda. We had a great conversation and I end up calling the store later that same day to place a phone order with her. She told me she works at the Gilroy store also and I placed another order over the phone with her. I received my items in the mail a few days ago and she left me a lovely note. I hardly encounter this kind of customer service and I just want thank Amanda again for her superb customer service!!! I will definitely visit soon again. read more

I needed to return a bunch of things I ordered online and although I returned $75, I still left this place with only $5 left as I bought something else. Oops! The staff was super friendly and very helpful, the stock was full of items I couldn't even find online. I'll definitely be back for other outdoorsy/travel goods again. L O C A T I O N Eddie Bauer is located nearish to Dave and Buster in the Great Mall. S E R V I C E I didn't know if I could do returns from online here, so I had to catch my breath when I went up and the employee let me know it was okay and that it was helpful for him that I kept everything in its bags. So phew! So tip when returning, make sure everything is in their respective bags! He was super friendly and was making good conversation and not forcefully so. S T O C K Perhaps it's because it's the outlet store, but some of the items there I couldn't find online! So perhaps it's old seasons. There were racks and racks of women's clearance where they had it an extra 50% off which was good for me as I was able to get another jacket for only $70. Online it was originally $170 so I can't complain though I just had returned a jacket which was only $45 due to sizing. Pricing is still high but if you're looking to find a bargain and have time to look through the racks, then it's worth it for the quality. S I Z I N G Remember to size down here. It feels like everything is extra baggy or large. I generally am a small or medium in other spots. Medium for any junior clothing of course but here I was a XS and it was still a little baggy though I like to not have skin tight things anymore. O V E R A L L Pretty good quality clothing that's good for outdoors and travel. There are good finds and really great staff to help you out. I'll be back again if I want to do a little splurging on some key items like jackets. read more

I love going to this Eddie Bauer, it's the only place I know of in the Bay. Maybe Gilroy has one???? But this is easiest for me to drive to. Anywho, prices are low and they usually have discounts on discounts. Picked up a number of wonderful outdoor gear, a jacket, snow pants, hiking sticks, warm gloves, hat, and travel gear. I didn't even shop there until I met my boyfriend who seems to be himself out from one of their catalogs:) He loves everything in there and makes sure I get all dress up for the occasion in outdoors gear matters. If you are a member you get tons of discounts. We never get anything paying full price and they constantly have deals with 40% and even 50% off. You can also buy things online and return here, no problem. I like how the female downs are so flattering, nicely designed. The store is well run and you get quick assistance when you need but you are freely browsing without interference when all you want to do is check out the merchandise. read more

I bought two jackets different sizes and didn't fit so returned them in March 2020. I still haven't received my refund. It's been more than a year. So disappointed with the customer service. Have called 5 times and was given false promises of the refund. It's a lot of money for both jackets and the company is not helping returning it. Eddie Bauer is one of the newer additions to the Great Mall. It is situated across from Forever 21. As is the norm at this mall, the store itself is more along the lines of an outlet, and there are always sales to be had here. Eddie Bauer specializes mainly in outerwear for both men and women. The clothes here are pretty durable and cozy. The clothes are also a lot more 'grown-up' here -- you won't find graphic t's with teeny-bopper phrases or cut-out attire here. Even the colors of the clothes are pretty neutral, with little to no neon colors in sight. The store is both well-stocked and incredibly organized, at least from what I've seen on my weekday shopping excursions. One side is dedicated to women's attire while the other side is dedicated to menswear. The dressing rooms appear to be unlocked, and are under a 'help-yourself' system -- although the shop workers will come by every now and then to check in if you need any assistance. The workers here are terrific. They keep the store organized and are incredibly attentive when it comes to helping out. One of my only complaints about the store is the clearance racks. Even though they have markers for the various sizes, the chance of finding the actual size under that marker is about 10%. While this is true of most clothing stores, it'd be nice to see the clearance section actually have some semblance of order, as there are some great deals to be had here. Also, this store offers a free membership program. And when I was there last, signing up merited you a 20% additional discount on your purchase (on top of sales and clearance). read more

Brought in a defective women's sweatshirt. Manager helped me at register, long story short, he gave me a lower price than I paid for the sweatshirt (never offered to look it up on my rewards account, which I later found out was an option) and then sent me home with a men's version of the same sweatshirt (my bad for actually trusting someone to do their job correctly), thinking it was a women's. Whole ordeal requires a second trip to the store to get the women's version of the sweatshirt. Manager and another sales associate "looked" in back and all the store but supposedly could find the women's version of the sweatshirt. I walked around store for 3 minutes and was able to find it. Pretty frustrating experience with the staff at this store. read more

I have been awaiting a refund from Eddie Bauer (EB) corporate since May 4, 2020. EB confirmed receipt of the items and indicated they could not issue a credit on my credit card but issued e-cards. I advised EB I have not received the e-cards and also a friend who returned items after me received a credit on their credit card. I have followed up countless times, attempted chat and telephone inquiries, only to be disconnected after waiting 30+ minutes, and the standard response is received on each email inquiry. It's very clear Customer Service is "not" reading the email. How to get this resolved? Buyer beware! I bought a coat online in November. The coat was not as described. I tried to get an online return label (only option) and the system was overloaded and said "try again later." I tried twice in the chat room. Both times was told the label would arrive "asap." No such luck. It has been 6 weeks. Today I waited in the chat room for 20 minutes, no agent ever showed up. I love Eddie Bauer and was told that they just opened this store in July 2013. They used to be an Eddie Bauer outlet at Great Mall but they closed it down. They new store is much bigger, spacious and have some limited discount. The only complain is that the line is long and slow. I have to wait over 5 minutes at the cashier. I think I will stick to online shopping at Eddie Bauer and will just use the store to return item. At least I don't have to drive to San Francisco or Gilroy to return online shopping items. read more

Just visited the store for the first time. I had been browsing online but was hesitant to buy without confirming my size. I called on Sunday night and spoke to Paul who put a parka on hold for me until last night (Tuesday). During my visit, Paul and Gaby were incredibly helpful, polite, and patient with me. I had a million questions and they were nothing but sweet. Ended up getting a different item than the one that was on hold but I was very happy with my overall purchase and experience. I was surprised to find such great deals here for Christmas gifts. I always think of Eddie Bauer as being just out of my price range, but I guess they have adjusted. The service is really, really friendly. I mean, to the point where I wanted to leave because they wouldn't stop trailing me to "help" me find something. There were 3 employees that took turns stalking me around the store. If you are a browser like me, this might put you off. If you like to be helped and directed, you are going to love it. The man working Saturday evenings at this branch is phenomenal! He was very kind, informed, and helpful when we came in to browse options for our upcoming trip to Peru. The products here seem like excellent quality. There are jackets and down-feather coats that are wind proof, waterproof, quick-dry, lined with comfy fleece, and packable (fits into its own pocket). If there were sizes available smaller than a woman's 2, I would haul back a load of merchandise and be done with my travel prep! At least I know where I'll recommend my friends to get their gear. read more
