My first visit to Saint Resto Lounge was for brunch, and it was top tier. I enjoyed it so much that I traveled back from out of town and told my friends how amazing this place was. Unfortunately, dinner was a completely different story. The hookah was a major turnoff. As a non-smoker, I should not have to sit at a dining table and have a cloud of hookah smoke blow into my mouth while I'm trying to eat. It was disgusting, disruptive, and completely took away from the dining experience. If hookah is going to be offered, there needs to be much better separation between the hookah and dining areas. Then came the food. We specifically ordered the lamb medium, and it came out well done. The salad had more cheese than lettuce, the mac and cheese noodles were undercooked, and overall the food lacked flavor. Waiter just said okay and walked away. Nothing about the meal matched the quality I experienced during brunch. The drink prices were also difficult to justify, particularly for juice-based drinks. Inflated prices are one thing when the quality delivers, but this meal simply didn't. The most frustrating part is that I recommended this restaurant to my friends based on my first experience. I came back expecting that same level of quality and left disappointed. Unfortunately, the brunch experience set the bar high, and dinner didn't come close. Day and night difference. I came. I saw. I conquered. And, I took a picture in the bathroom like everybody else. Honestly, there are so many things I could say about this place. I will be adding food pictures later, but for now, let me say this: We had a great experience as a group of five on a Friday night with a reservation. Our reservation was for 8 PM, someone was running late and they fully showed us grace during their 15-minute grace period. Drinks: SO DAMN GOOD. The drinks were delicious and strong. The lychee cocktail was fire. About $26 each. Wings: LORDT. We were all talking about how good these damn wings were when we left. We got them well done and they were really cooked perfectly. The sauce was everything. More people messed up wings than you would expect, so we were obsessed with these. Mac and cheese trio: this was so good. I think the original one was the one we ended up liking the most, but they were all good. The original was so cheesy and flavorful. Definitely worth the price. We also had the lamb, which was delicious. Perfectly and super juicy and flavorful. We had a couple desserts, and I think we have some other stuff that I can't really remember because of the drinks, but overall we had a great experience Service: it was good. I appreciated the free glass of champagne upon entry. It took some time to flag our server down for more drinks, but everybody was very friendly and things came out relatively quickly. Vibes: the vibes of this place are interesting. The music was actually terrible when we came, but maybe that's what they do for the dinner reservations before it turns into the lounge lounge. It's definitely an environment where you get cute and pretty and go to take pictures and be seen. Very much so in Instagram restaurant. I had a wonderful experience during Happy Hour at Saint Resto Lounge. Our server Wanda was very pleasant and friendly. She kept checking on us and making sure we was okay. She also shared her own personal view point on the dishes we wasn't sure about. Which we end up purchasing since she informed us it was delightful. The beef sliders is a must try and the shrimp tacos. I also enjoyed the Saint Wings the sauce was incredible. Upon your reservation you are greeted with a complementary glass of champagne. Took my husband here for an early bday date night! I'm so happy i got to try this place out. Upon checking in, we were immediately greeted with a glass of prosecco! Perfect way to start the night. The hostess and waitress were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious! We ordered the Parmesan crusted lamb (first time trying lamb), broken lasagna, Mac and cheese and chicken sliders. For drinks, I ordered the strawberry lemon drop and my husband had his usual Jameson and Gingerale. We went around 7 so it was pretty quiet, music was low, lighting was dim. Came to Saint after an early show at City Winery and the timing was perfect. We were able to catch two open seats at the bar prior to there being an admittance fee. I wasn't visibly pregnant but my mixologist caught on when I asked for her best mocktails. The. Best. EVER. The pineapple mojito was so good I kept checking to make sure there was no alcohol content. Plus, she kept them coming! We ordered a few lite bites but I distinctly recall the shrimp being so delicious we ordered two more orders (I am aware we are absurd individuals). The venue is much smaller than I imagined but well appointed. I also think the size adds to the exclusivity. Our server Wanda was amazing and friendly. She help assist us on items we were indecisive about. I like how she was able to express and explain the difference item of the menu. They were running a solid playlist, heavy on the Drake The food definitely impressed. I had the Deconstructed Lasagana pappardelle pasta with meat sauce and a generous dollop of ricotta on top--super comforting and flavorful. We also tried the skillet mac & cheese, which was rich, cheesy, and had this tasty pulled beef on top that added a nice twist. Drinks were strong and well-crafted. However, they have a 90-minute table limit that wasn't communicated to us, which I found strange. While I was still eating, the waitress abruptly placed the check on the table without letting us know it was time to close out or place any final orders. My girlfriends loved their drinks [s/o to Chris!], but thought the hummus starter was a bit too salty and the shrimp + grits were just okay. I originally wanted this, but when I saw the cheese wasn't even melted I knew I had to pivot. Their mac and cheese is different than I've seen elsewhere. It comes in a 3 part dish; each third has a section of mac with Korean short rib, a section with chicken, and a plain section. I actually like the mac. Ummm YESSSS! I came here on a Monday night for happy hour. It happened to be my birthday! You get a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrive, which I loved. I was literally the only person in line, ignored for over a minute while he laughed and cursed mid-convo with the other host. When he finally spoke, it was with smug energy and zero professionalism. Meanwhile, their own IG shows guests inside wearing sneakers, shorts, and hats--so the "dress code" excuse was just selective ego enforcement. Let's start with the good- this spot is really cute. The aesthetic is really nice. It's dimly lit and would be great for date night. They also serve a complimentary glass of Prosecco (it was flat). However, the food and drinks are mid, like the epitome of mid. We ordered the broken lasagna, chicken and shrimp tacos, fries, ceviche, and Mac and cheese trio. Nothing stood out. You could 100% get better food somewhere else for a cheaper price. Each of my friends and I also ordered a drink (PYT, Dusse lemon drop and Saint Shack w/ Prosecco-also flat ). The drinks also weren't spectacular for the price. The service was standard. Overall, they might need more time to improve the menu. On this day there was no live DJ nor was the restaurant crowded but we still had a good time. We ordered food and hookah. For food, being as though it was brunch, we could only order off of the brunch menu. We ordered several different items. The portion sizes are shareable. Each item was good with the exception of the Saint wings (I did not get a picture). The Saint wings have a sauce on them that is not too tasty. But everything else was a 10/10. Had a Saturday night res for 8:30 pm. We were sat in the main room, seating is a little tight. It's very sceney-instagramy . Dim lit, hookah and loud music. Music is a tad bit too loud for dinner tbh that should be the volume once the kitchen is closed or something. The service was pleasant the food and drinks were good no complaints there. Nothing blew me away but everything was solid and enjoyable. Only 2 bathrooms just fyi so there was a line forming quickly. Over all cute spot not somewhere I would frequent but not a bad spot at all. My friends and I had one of the most baffling and unprofessional dining experiences I've had in NYC. The service was an absolute 0/5, and the primary reason is the hostess, Carla, whose attitude made it clear that basic customer service skills are optional here. We were seated by the restaurant manager herself, yet while another server was politely taking our order, Carla walked over and abruptly interrupted our conversation with the incredibly rude and condescending question: "Did y'all seat yourselves?" Aside from being completely illogical given the context, it was an unprofessional accusation delivered with zero tact or awareness. When I advised her to speak with the manager who seated us, she rolled her eyes and stomped off--another great example of the "hospitality" here. She returned to apologize but then proceeded to ask us to move tables, as if the initial disrespect wasn't enough. At that point, it was clear this place runs on confusion, ego, and disorganization rather than actual guest experience. Saint Restaurant & Lounge is severely overhyped. If you're looking for quality service, professionalism, or even basic courtesy, this is not the place. There are far too many restaurants in the city that respect their customers to waste time or money here. I won't be returning. read more

Staff is very friendly and welcoming, our waitress was great, very attentive. They have happy hour from 5-7pm. Menu consist of small bites only, party of 2 we shared the Caesar salad , lamb chops, tuna tartare tacos, & sea skewers. The tacos were very tasty & spicy, loaded with ahi tuna. The Parmesan crusted lamb chops were served on top of a delicious chimichurri sauce. Sea skewers were just shrimp skewers, a generous portion but very bland, needed some sort of sauce. Salad was good as a happy hour item, not worth $18. Hookah service starts at 9pm, $75. I actually walked right past this place when I went yesterday. It looked like it was locked from the outside. I figured it out and went inside to see a beautiful lounge with amazing ambiance and beautiful women to service you. I sat at the bar as I waited for my party to arrive and celebrate my good friend Tasheena's birthday . From the hostess, to the bartenders who served me to the waitresses... hot! The drinks were excellent and the food was top notch ! The Lamb chops were the best I've had in a long time ! Make a reservation around 8 or 9pm during the week and you won't be disappointed. I'll start off by saying I really wanted to love this place and was prepared for this to be my new go-to spot for an elevated cocktail and appetizer, but my experience on a Sunday night really left me disappointed. I'm hoping a lot of this is just growing pains since they just opened and I plan to come back in a few months and hope to write a more positive review the second time around. First things first, upon walking in, this place looks stunning! Very upscale, beautifully put together until you get to the very back of the restaurant where you can see they just left the part you can't immediately see from the street this distressed paint I'm pretty sure the previous restaurant that occupied this space had. I'll also note some small details like the first high top table I initially tried to sit at was wobbly and the booth seating in the back right is not weighted or anchored to the floor and can be accidentally moved as well. The lit tea lights on each table added wonderful ambiance, but the slightly see through, overly starched napkins gave a cheap feeling. There was a projector at the very back showing the game and there was a DJ booth playing a good (albeit quite loud) mix of rap and R&B. I also saw a few tables with hookahs, so there was kind of a lot going on and I couldn't quite figure out what this place wants to be - an upscale cocktail room, a sports bar, or a hookah lounge? It was an odd mix as having the hookahs up on a tall table with people sitting in uncomfortable rigid chairs doesn't seem quite right next to others enjoying cocktails and appetizers straining to talking over the loud music next to a few guys with beers watching the game. It feels a little like they are trying to be too many things at once. Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess and after a brief confusion over wether bar seating was available or not we were offered complimentary welcome glasses of Prosecco and escorted to a high top which we found was wobbly and then escorted to a table in the back instead. Once seated we used our phones to access the digital menu via the QR code at the table and quickly decided on our orders, but still hadn't been greeted by a waitress after 10-15 minutes when I waved down someone who indeed turned out to be our waitress. She was incredibly apologetic, I assume the hostess failed to communicate to her that she had a new table sat in her section. She quickly took our orders and brought us back waters while we waited. Another 15 minutes passed and I received my cocktail while my partner is left waiting for his. Before I take a sip I see a lip print around the rim of the glass and a little black spec inside the glass so when the waitress comes back 5 minutes later I tell her there's something in it and she takes it back and goes to get me a new one made. 10 minutes later my partner receives his drink and I'm left still waiting for mine. Another 10 minutes and our waitress comes by and says she will check with the kitchen for our food. We finally received our food about 45-50 minutes after our order was put in and by the time we finished eating my cocktail finally showed up. Timing was really just awful, though our waitress was very apologetic all throughout the evening and explained that they were not staffed properly for the crowd they had that night. Now for the food and drinks themselves, unfortunately they were also a bit of a let down. We had hoped for more flavor from the trio of mac n cheeses, but they all tasted very simple and plain, I would not order this again. My partner said chipotle chicken tacos were satisfactory, fairly plain as well and remarked that some of the chicken tasted a bit burnt. The beef slider trifecta was the winning dish of the meal and actually had some good flavor! For cocktails we got the PYT and the Saint Shack, both on the sweeter side, could have been a touch boozier, but they were decent. FYI gratuity is already included in your total, but I have no idea exactly how much because they don't ever show you a breakdown of your bill, despite this I still tipped extra as my waitress was wonderful and so apologetic throughout the entire evening and even comp'd my drink. Overall I'm left disappointed because I think this place has a ton of potential, but they really need to figure out what kind of venue they are and work out all the kinks in their service. I'm hoping to revisit in a few months when hopefully they have had time to work it all out and change up the menu a bit. read more
